Pros bigger boobs
Cons pimples, depression, lowered sex drive, blood clot (according to what I've researched)
Bottom line I am using Diane 35 about a week now. I used Melaine before I switched to Diane 35 because I got pimples using Melaine.

According to my OB Diane 35 would lessen the pimples that I have (which actually caused by taking Melaine) so she adviced me to take the said pill. Unfortunately, I am still getting pimples in this pill. It did clear my skin :(

Should I stop taking it or should I still continue it until 3 months (hoping it will work)?

Pros free with canadian health plan
Cons Sensitive to light, Food cravings, Violent mood swings
Bottom line I'm going to stick with it for a while longer. I had no idea I could get so depressed. I feel irrational and moody like I do with severe pms but for the whole month I've been on Diane. I'm hoping that my hormone levels will figure themselves out soon and I'll get a control on them. It looks like this isn't worth it to stay on the drug if I always feel like this and I might take accutane... instead of always having to be on this drug.

I also notice driving at night I think everyone has their high beams on and my eyes are super sensitive to the light.

If getting rid of acne is important to you I'd take it.

Pros Regular periods, no wait gain, rarely any pimples.
Cons Low energy, still get cramping, a bit of decrease in sex drive.
Bottom line I went on this after I found out Proactiv caused early aging, and had dehydrated my skin out to its ultimate potential. So far, I have been on it for 8 weeks and I love it. Diane 35, yes, it can cause blood clots. ** BUT SO CAN ANY OTHER BIRTH CONTROL PILL ** and if you are overweight or smoke it's going to make you more prone to getting a clot more than you were before. Obese people are already at high risk in the first place for getting a blood clot, even without the pill. So maybe, if you people lost some weight, you shouldn't have to be worried about it so much and blame your blood clots on the pill. PUT DOWN THE PIE!!

Moving on: One thing I didn't like about this pill is the lack of energy that I have and it doesn't really help my cramping, which I thought it would.

But it keeps my acne away 98% of the time, and that's the most important thing. No weight gain is a bigger bonus, probably because I actually watch what I eat :)

Pros more regular periods, less oily skin
Cons severe clinical depression, cellulite all over the body, weight gain (15 kg, I guess it is 40 pounds), metabolism got MUCH slower, headaches and so on
Bottom line because of this horrible drug I got a lot of weight. still I can't lose it, though eat almost nothing. it is because my metabolism has got much slower, and never will be the same. I used to be a pretty very skinny girl, now everybody calls me fat. what's more. I got cellulite all over my body, even on my calves, arms and fingers, though it is visible only pressed or in a specific lightning.I used to think i will never have this ugly thing. my mother is 49, she doesn't have cellulite. I'm 17, and have it. why? because of Diane 35. moreover, I've got deppresion. very severe. psychiatrists even enwanted to put me into a psychiatric hospital.I still have suicidal thoughts, even though finished using Diane 35 one year ago.my body changes are making me frustrated.i think that taking DIANE 35 IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.it helped for my skin only a little bit, while i was using it. now i'm not, and it has got even worse. I still have suicidal thoughts. YouWhoAdvisedMeToTakeItAreKILLERS!

Pros did help reduce my acne, although didn't clear it up completely
Cons lowered sex drive quite a bit, some vaginal dryness, eyes seemed drier; had to switch contacts, hair seemed drier as well; was switched off because my doctor had concerns about blood clot controversies
Bottom line would probably take it again if nothing else seemed to help, although i'm concerned about the possibility of dangerous blood clots, so would definitely talk to my doctor about that...
...have been switched to Ortho Tri-Cyclen which seems to be fine for my face and small acne, but not helpful for nodular acne on the back...now, trying to combine with minocyline to eliminate the nodular acne. really didn't like the reduction in sex drive, although bad acne making me self-conscious does that pretty effectively too, so i'd still go back on it.

Pros No period pain, lighter periods, clear skin, regular cycle, bigger breasts
Cons extreme anxiety, depression, extreme hair loss, suicidal thoughts, low energy, mood swings, weight gain -approx six kilos -mostly around mid-section, expensive
Bottom line I initially went on diane35 for severe period pain which was so severe I'd lose all feeling in my legs and become delirious. I also struggled with acne, having tried every over the counter product, as well as natural remedies and therapies such as homeopathic treatments and chinese medicine. I have been on this pill for 2 years, my period pain and acne were gone after finishing the first pack. However I finally realised that it is this pill that has given me extreme anxiety, depression and hair loss. Worse than this are the suicidal thoughts. For so long I thought I was losing my mind due to family issues, but i now know for certain it's due to diane35. I'm really annoyed it has taken me 2 years to finally work this out, but i'm glad I know now. After doing all my research on the internet I can't believe it's still allowed to be prescribed in Australia or anywhere else for that matter. for anyone thinking of taking diane35 -DON'T. Do your research first. You will be shocked at the SEs

Pros Bigger Boobs
Cons Moods, stomache upset, lack of energy, Expensive.
Bottom line Third day on it I have noticed it really affects your moods and emtotions to a point of depression. Maybe it will only last a week or so I hope, my stomache has been upset since I have been taking it, and acne has got a little worse in the three days I have been on it. Will test it for a couple months see how it goes. The big plus is boobs have grown in 3 days....no joke they grew instantly, that's a bonus.

I suggest if you suffer moods or depression already this might not be for you, It really can get you down.

Pros works for PCOS "victims"... i now have regular periods, and clean smooth skin
Cons Weight gain:larger breasts, mid section and thighs, tenderness of breast, TERRIBLE MOOD SWINGS
Bottom line been on it for over 8 months. Im 20, and hate the weight gain, and terible mood swings. IF you don't have PCOS, don't take it - the risks even my gynae outlined arent pretty - she's planning to take me off it real soon...

Recommended: Yes - for PCOS

Pros clear skin
Cons loss of libido, increased appetite, weight gain
Bottom line My acne came back terribly about a month after I stopped breastfeeding my second child. My Dr prescribed Diane 35 and I have been taking it for 3 months now. I am also taking Accutane at the same time to hopefully get rid of my acne problem permanently. I have deep, cystic acne that is painful and scarring both physically and emotionally. When I saw my Dr yesterday I told her I was going to stop taking the Diane 35 (my husband has had a vasectemy - this is important since you can not get pregnant while taking Accutane - it will result in birth defects) as I can't stand this huge appetite that I have, as well I feel sorry for my husband as I can't seem to get the desire to have sex whatsoever which is unusual for me. So I guess this will be the test to see if the Accutane is working when I stop taking the Diane 35 and hopefully I will get back the desire to have sex with my husband and lose some weight!
