Pros: clear skin, went up one cup size, regular periods Cons: .... Bottom Line: Great product!!! strongly recommend! I have been on it for 2 months and am just starting into my third! My skin has cleared up substantially since beginning diane 35. I use it in conjunction with proactiv and clindamyacin. Before that I was just using proactiv and it didn't work at all by itself!! I have been on accutane once and the acne came back, though not as bad as before. I am getting the same results from diane i got from accutane w/o the awful risks and side effects of roaccutane. Alot of acne in women is hormonal so if nothing else has worked (i've been there) then give this a try! The only thing i'm worried about is the acne coming back if i stop using it as i will, at some point in the future, like to have children??? Pros: not yet trying... Pros: PERFECT Skin, Less body hair, regular cycle Cons: Mood Swings Bottom Line: I had severe cystic acne that persisted for years. I tried everything possible-antibiotics, accutane, topical treatments, ProActive, even other oral contraceptives! NOTHING worked! My doctor decided it must be hormonal and put me on Diane-35, It took 3 months for anything to change but once I hit the 3 month mark all of a sudden the texture of my skin changed and the pimples started to disapear. I couldn't believe it!! Diane 35 worked so well for me. I tried going off 2 years later (was having some mood swings-may not have even been the Diane) and the acne returned after being off it a couple of months and so I went back on and on I will stay... I have to put effort into getting a pimple now... people who didn't know me when I had bad skin are always asking how I keep such clear skin all the time. TRY IT!!! and give it at least 3 months to start working.... even longer DON'T get discouraged, I was there once and won't ever go back! Pros: No acne, skin is smooth, birth control Cons: none Bottom Line: I love Diane, I have been using it for 8 yrs and saw results right away. People ask me all the time what I use to make my skin so smooth (not just my face). I never get a pimple unless I stop taking it for a month, which i do not do anymore because I love the flawless skin and the not getting pregnant. I wish I was having weight gain in my hips but I guess no luck there :). I am sorry that it is not working for everyone maybe you guys should give it some time. My sister is also on Diane and her skin healed from the acne quickly, however she initially had headaches. Pros: breast gain, some might see this as a con prettier hair and skin Cons: initially flare up of cystic acne. weight gain especially around hips severely painful breasts Bottom Line: I only used this drug for 2 months,sporadically not sequentially, so i'm not sure how great my review will be. First time i tried it was great, i had no weight gain, no symptoms at all except for very painful breasts, and my acne went away. Second time however, i had that initially flare up of acne that some talk about. i gained a kilo or two alot of it on my hips :( ! but thankfully it went away when i got off them. I stopped using the drugs for this reason. Use it if you must, but i have heard once you get off the pimples come back with avengance. Pros: None yet... Cons: Headaches, Cold and Cough, Unusual looking acne that cannot be squeezed. I know it's because of the Diane, because my acne has never looked like this before. I just finished my first pack, so I'm just waiting for this "miracle pill" to work... Bottom Line: I'm yet to see the benefits that everybody has been talking about, but i just finished my first pack, hopefully it'll get better with subsequent uses. It is kinda expensive though. I have faith in this pill, so I really, really hope it works.......can't wait. If it does clear my skin, I can live with the side effects- I'll be taking it for a while. We'll see... Pros: all pimples-GONE! Cons: mood swings, depression Bottom Line: For those who take diane only a few weeks and claim that it does not work, PATIENCE is the key. After 2 times failure of roaccutane ( which pimples came back even worse), I tried diane ( basically i just tried everything anyway). the first 2 months of diane was a very bad memory, but after 1 month that it cleared my skin significantly. My skin now glows and is so soft that i can't help touching it all the time. So just be patient friends! For those who have pimples again after stop using diane: My doctor prescribed me with diane 35 and minomycin. He said that when my skin is completely clear, I should stop diane and go on with minomycin for a few months to make sure that the pimples won't come back. I'll start using only minomycin next month. Pros: It cleared my skin and never had to worry about acne. I am from Costa Rica and I used to get them there for less than $20. Cons: Some headaches every now and then. Bottom Line: I love Diane 35!!! It's the best contraceptive pill that I have taken so far. I need to find a place where I can buy them here in the States. I live in Murrieta, California and my doctor told me Diane 35 is not FDA approved but I really need to take this pills again because the ones I'm taking right now are not working at all! I used to live in Costa Rica and took Diane 35 for over 5 years and they really work. Can somebody tell me where I can get them here in California or if I can order some online? Pros: None as of yet. Cons: Depression has gotten A lot worse, constant cravings and wanting to eat, mood swings terrible, acne has gotten worse. Weight gain. Very emotional. Bottom Line: I have only been using this product for 3 weeks so im not excpecting to see any results just yet. I am willing to stay on it for 3 months though becuase my doctor said it may take that long for my skin to clear up but im hoping my moods improve because i dont think i can take feeling the way i have been any longer. Its been Terrible. I dont feel like doing anything, and if anyone says the smallest thing i go off and just start crying uncontrollably. I dont want this to scare anyone off using it because with any pill the first month of taking it your body is adjusting to the hormonal changes so you have to expect there to be some side affects. Fingers crossed things will be better within the next month, i will let you know. Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few weeks.
