Pros: None yet... Cons: Headaches, Cold and Cough, Unusual looking acne that cannot be squeezed. I know it's because of the Diane, because my acne has never looked like this before. I just finished my first pack, so I'm just waiting for this "miracle pill" to work... Bottom Line: I'm yet to see the benefits that everybody has been talking about, but i just finished my first pack, hopefully it'll get better with subsequent uses. It is kinda expensive though. I have faith in this pill, so I really, really hope it works.......can't wait. If it does clear my skin, I can live with the side effects- I'll be taking it for a while. We'll see... Pros: all pimples-GONE! Cons: mood swings, depression Bottom Line: For those who take diane only a few weeks and claim that it does not work, PATIENCE is the key. After 2 times failure of roaccutane ( which pimples came back even worse), I tried diane ( basically i just tried everything anyway). the first 2 months of diane was a very bad memory, but after 1 month that it cleared my skin significantly. My skin now glows and is so soft that i can't help touching it all the time. So just be patient friends! For those who have pimples again after stop using diane: My doctor prescribed me with diane 35 and minomycin. He said that when my skin is completely clear, I should stop diane and go on with minomycin for a few months to make sure that the pimples won't come back. I'll start using only minomycin next month. Pros: It cleared my skin and never had to worry about acne. I am from Costa Rica and I used to get them there for less than $20. Cons: Some headaches every now and then. Bottom Line: I love Diane 35!!! It's the best contraceptive pill that I have taken so far. I need to find a place where I can buy them here in the States. I live in Murrieta, California and my doctor told me Diane 35 is not FDA approved but I really need to take this pills again because the ones I'm taking right now are not working at all! I used to live in Costa Rica and took Diane 35 for over 5 years and they really work. Can somebody tell me where I can get them here in California or if I can order some online? Pros: None as of yet. Cons: Depression has gotten A lot worse, constant cravings and wanting to eat, mood swings terrible, acne has gotten worse. Weight gain. Very emotional. Bottom Line: I have only been using this product for 3 weeks so im not excpecting to see any results just yet. I am willing to stay on it for 3 months though becuase my doctor said it may take that long for my skin to clear up but im hoping my moods improve because i dont think i can take feeling the way i have been any longer. Its been Terrible. I dont feel like doing anything, and if anyone says the smallest thing i go off and just start crying uncontrollably. I dont want this to scare anyone off using it because with any pill the first month of taking it your body is adjusting to the hormonal changes so you have to expect there to be some side affects. Pros: Continuously clear skin (for over 15 years!), regular & light cycle (virtually no cramping), no pregnancy scares Cons: Occasional depression and mood swings 1-2 days prior to getting period, and most recently, seriously low sex drive! Bottom Line: I have been on Diane 35 for over 15 years almost CONTINUOUSLY! I went on it when I was 18 after 2 unsuccessful attempts at using Roaccutane (after which my acne came back worse!). I am now 32 and have found Diane 35 to be excellent at treating my acne. I have attempted to go onto a more 'typical' BCP a few times because of the price. Diane is not subsidized in Australia making it 3 times more expensive than a regular pill. My acne has returned with a vengeance every time, particularly on my back & chest. Up until now I have been pleased with Diane 35 and have had relatively few side effects. However, recently my sex drive has virtually disappeared, much to the disappointment of my partner. After 2 years of suffering, he is at his wits end, and I am now researching possible reasons. Perhaps it is due to my age or other emotional issues, however I am exploring physical causes first: they're the easiest to cure! Pros: no major side effects (ie. weight gain, nausea, headaches or water retention) Cons: acne is way worse Bottom Line: I do not recommend this pill. I have only been taking this pill for about three weeks and it has made my acne worse than ever before. I feel very mislead by my doctor because she described this pill to me as being a miracle cure for my acne and did mention any side effects. The type of acne that i'm receiving from this pill is different than what i had before. My skin is much more sensitive and becomes red very easily. The pimples that I'm getting are more like sores on my face and are not able to be squeezed. I'm scared to go off of this pill because of the other horrible stories i've heard on this thread. I really do regret taking this pill and do not recommend it to anybody given all of the different side effects it has for each person. Pros: Clearer skin, and is a birth control Cons: does give me nausea Bottom Line: bottom line; it's treated me the same way any other birth control has. Yasmin has the same pros but doesn't give me nausea. if i go off any birth control whether it's been aless, yasmin, or diane my skin always get worse. Diane however clears it up faster. if you find it does make you sick always take it in the middle of the day with lunch, never at night or in the morning. Pros: Skin is less oily Cons: More acne than ever before Bottom Line: I've been using this pill for about two weeks and the first week i didn't notice a change and the second week my acne became worse and doesn't seem to go away.
