Pros: Clear Skin, Effective Birth Control, Regular Periods, Price (for some reason I am paying a lot less then many of the people reviewing - under $18 for three packs?) Cons: Slight Spotting, Weight Gain (no more then 5 -10 lbs) Moodyness at first (went away after a few monthes) Bottom Line: I get an occasional pimple here and there but my acne has significantly deceased. Also, for those of you just starting on this pill if you wait a few monthes your body will get used to it and almost all of the side effects will go away. I've never had any problems with significant hairloss (that actually sounds pretty scary.) If you could put up with the minor side effects I've experienced, go for it. If you're scared of these side effects ask your doctor about tetracycline for acne, it also works, but the pills are larger and you are required to take more of them daily. Pros: clears up acne a bit Cons: worse cramps than before, and causes blood clots Bottom Line: After using Diane 35 for almost 6 months, I saw a little difference in my acne, but not enough for me to keep using it. For me, the cons outweighed the pros of me staying on it to see what would happen in the long run. I was reading that 100% of subjects that took Diane had their acne gone after 18 months, but I didn't want to wait that long, nor deal with the consequences of birth control as a method of acne treatment. Diane 35 is really dangerous apparently (causes blood clots and such), and being off of it for about 2 weeks now I'm feeling bloated and getting stomach aches almost every day, but it should go away. Pros: Clears up a bit, not bad Cons: BREAST ENLARGEMENT. Oh my god, I had perfect B's and now have busting out C's. If you want a bigger chest, mood swings, weight gain, this is the pill for you. Pros: Cleared my skin after two cycles. Cons: Made me feel sick in the morning - I've been off it now for about 4 months, and the morning sickness is still there, and I'm not taking any other medication (and I also am NOT pregnant). Bottom Line: I was very happy with how clear my skin became. It was way cheaper and less hassle to take a pill rather than use topical systems like Proactiv. Pros: Worked well for my skin, acne was completly gone after a few months, on it for 2 years, but thinking about stopping it. Cons: Major weight gain, very sleeply all the time. Pros: my menstruation period is regulated. my breasts got bigger, too. Cons: I still have break outs even using diane for 2 months already. Bottom Line: I just got this severe acne when I turned 21 (I'm turning 23 already. Before I had a great skin, but now, I have a terrible one! My derma told me that in my case (severe acne), I have to wait for 3 to 4 months to see the results. So far, I just feel worst! I didn't feel the result. I've tried many medications already but I always end up having big bumps all over my face. I've got to comment again here after I Have taken my 3rd pack of diane as to assess if its really effective to me. MAJOR BOTTOMLINE: Diane's result depends on the person. Pros: Skin cleared up, less oily, thicker healthy hair, regulated periods, helped ease PMS symptoms like Cramping and Clotting, contraceptive....increased breast size!!! Cons: Tends to make me a little more anxious and on edge than usual, mood swings and chest pains. Bottom Line: I just loooove this stuff!!!! Make a long story short.... IT WORKS!!!! Pros: Improved acne, not pregnant, can skip periods Cons: Slight weight gain, possible other side effects (not sure if they are due to pill or not), didn't clear all acne Bottom Line: This pill worked pretty well for me though not all my acne is gone it's definitely a lot better. and it's good how it can be used as a birth control too. I didn't get any side effects at first but some appear to be arriving now after a few months, however they may not be due to the pill. Pros: Decreased acne, larger boobs, weight loss Bottom Line: I like it so far, it is slowly decreasing my acne. It decreases my appitite so I am losing weight (even though I am gaining weight in my boobs.) My periods are amazing - on time and light. Pros: Clear skin, bigger breasts Cons: Suspected initial breakout Bottom Line: I have been dealing with acne for 15 years. I have been reading this site for a while and this is the first time i've wanted to post. My Derm put me on Diane 35 a month and a half ago. At first my skin broke out and I got a few cystic acne nodules. I thought that maybe it wouldn't work for me. Then last week everything changed and now my skin is completely clear and there are no new bumps in sight. This product is simply amazing. I've tried everything except Accutane and my derm said that was my next step if this didn't work. Diane 35 is a life saver. I should mention that I have moderate acne that had suddenly worsened in the past few months for no apparent reason(I am 30). I have yet to see the weight gain or any other negative side effect.
