| Pros | Brilliantly smooth and spotless skin, evidently less body hair, short and painless periods. |

| Cons | I was on Diane for 5 years with only one 6month break inbetween. I did not get my period during the six month break and the skin was even spottier than before. |
| Bottom line | Even though they did do the trick, the pills were prescribed to me as a time-limited therapy for acne and not as a lifelong medication. after a five year long therapy i am back where i started, even though my skin was crystal clear during that period. So the bottom line is whether you are prepared to take it for the rest of your life, risking longterm side effects - many of them not yet proven by research. i stopped taking them for good and i am looking for alternatives to clear my skin without having to become addicted to a synthetic hormone. |

| Cons | When I get my period and am off the pill for about 6-7 days the acne comes back. I also get really terrible morning sickness and I throw up a lot. If you come off of this pill you will get even worse acne then before. Moodiness is also a big issue. |
| Bottom line | My main problem with this pill is the fact that you need to stay on it forever in order to battle acne. I don't like to take pills so I really had to consider taking this when my doctor recommended it. I decided to go on it and took Diane for about 10 months. After the 2nd month my skin was great! Even about 4 months after coming off of it my skin was ok. Then it became even worse than before I started taking Diane. Now my skin is so out of control that I've started taking it again, but it's not working the same way it did the first time around. My skin is so terrible and I'm waiting for the Diane to kick in. The morning sickness is also really bad, I've had to stay home from work many mornings because of it. It makes me feel really sick. It's scary to think I'll have to take this for my whole life in order to have good skin, because the moment you come off be prepared to have even worse skin than before. |

| Pros | cleans skin(70%) , makes it look much more young and so smooth, great looking hair, my body hair grows very very hard and so i shave just once at 2 weeks, my boobs enlarged considerably.. |

| Bottom line | do not take this pills more than 6 month....you should know that it is a banned medicine in other states...don't full around with your health. it is a very risky pill. |

| Cons | Have gained weight 30kgs (not sure if related); no noticeable libido, anxiety (perhaps also coincidental) and I have quite a bit of acne at the moment. Expensive. |
| Bottom line | I've been on and off this pill for the last 10 years. For the first few years it worked very well, with no noticeable side effects, and cleared up my skin perfectly. I even lost 15 kgs. However in subsequent years I have put on the whole 15 and gained the same again. I have always eaten a healthy, quality diet but some big serves- perhaps the pill is affecting my appetite. Now, my skin is not so good- I have four active pimples including one nasty one on my back. I have been single for four years and wonder if this is related too! I find it creepy to be permanently dependent on artificial hormones, especially for such a long period of time. I'm anxious a lot, but I don't know if that's just my personality- it's hard to say when I've been on this pill for so long. So I have no painful or obvious side effects, but I suspect Diane could be responsible for some of my problems, and I have now decided to try other treatments eg zinc and vitamin A with topical prescription creams. |

| Bottom line | I've been on it for five years.. and I just recently went off it because my acne was all clear.. BIG MISTAKE.. completely broke out with acne badly, and so I went back on it and I'm going through my 3rd month of pills and it's still bad. My advice: if you're gonna go off it, find a better alternative such as Pro-Active if it's for acne, if it's birth control well just stick with condoms |

| Bottom line | I loved this pill. I'm trying Ortho Tricyclen Lo now since it's cheaper and hoping it'll help control my acne. Diane 35 is amazing and I'm thinking that the price is worth it. I'm 18 and my hormones were off the hook before I took it. I was on Alesse before and I had the worst acne imaginable. Okay, it wasn't that bad, but enough to make me feel like crap about myself. Diane 35 is incredible. |

| Bottom line | I was wondering about the stinky pee because I don’t eat meat but, this only started when I started taking Diane 35. When my pack is up and I am waiting for my period to start no stinky pee so it has to be the pill. I can understand the loss of appetite and mood swings I have been reprimanded at my job for flipping out and my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy. So I believe I will be looking for something a lot more stable. Dam why do ya'll pay so much for these pills (GEE Willie)! |

| Bottom line | I've taken Diane 35 for almost 2 years and it's working perfectly on me. I used in 1 year before then i stopped, the acne came back worse and my skin very oily. I went to doctor and he prescript me Diane 35 again. He said my body was working good on it for a year, so there would be no side-effect so far. Now it's working good on me. But my sex drive is lower a little bit. My vagina is not wet enough. I don't know if that's a side-effect. Otherwise, it's working fine for me. |
