| Pros | Works as a birth control |
|---|---|
| Cons | Heart Palpitations, Nausea, IBS |
| Bottom line | I used it for a year and then I realized that it wasn't worth being on it or any other pill. Changes hormones and disrupts normal balance in the body. I don't recommend any pill or anything artificial. |

| Pros | it cleared up my skin considerably, increased breast size, had no period pain |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made me severely depressed, moody, cry all the time; i lost my libido, and had suicidal thoughts frequently/ You also need to be on it all the time as the Acne comes back so much worse after going off pill. Also gained weight |
| Bottom line | i have suffered severe acne (cystic) for more than 12 years. Went on Diane 35 for 3 years and found that, while it worked very well on my skin, the side effects made it very difficult staying on it long term. My constant bleak outlook on life and extreme depression plus loss of libido made me realise it was not worth it for gaining clear skin. It got to the point where it wa slike those tablets took over my life and made me into an emotional mess. Only realised it was all because of diane 35 when i looked up the side effects one morning 2 months ago. Stopped the tablets there and then and havent looked back since. Have broken out worse than ever but have managed to keep things in control by adjusting my diet and ridding junk food/sugary food consumption. My mental state is heaps better and i am slowly getting back in control of my emotions. Suicidal thoughts with a clear complexion or cheerful old me with my cystic acne? Give me happiness anyday :) |

| Pros | slightly bigger boobs.... |
|---|---|
| Cons | headaches, sick to my stomach when I first started, leg pain, seems to have brought out every zit my face was planning on having in the next couple months. I'm depressed and on edge. Not sure if its the pills or the fact that my face looks like hell |
| Bottom line | When I started these pills my face was worse than it had ever been before in my life. I just finished my first pack and I haven't had much improvement. My face seemed to get even worse, and in the last couple days it may have improved a bit. I am really hoping that this is one of those instances where it gets worse before it gets better....just about everyone else on here has been raving about how their skin cleared up so fast. I am not feeling great at all. It really sucks having to go to work every day with my face like this. I swear I will never complain about a few zits again if this goes away. I'm 25 and all of a sudden my face just freaked out. Has anyone else taken these pills and had their face get worse, or not get better for a while?? |

| Pros | clear skin, bigger breasts, less body hair |
|---|---|
| Cons | weight gain |
| Bottom line | I've had problems with my face since 18 and i'm now 25. when I started using this pill 5 months ago my skin just really cleared up for the first time that I dont need to go to the dermatologist anymore so eventhough its more expensive, you save money coz you dont need to buy skin products that much and you save on doctor's fee. I've had so many people notice my skin and say how good it is. it's really amazing after trying all types of skin products and not working out. |

| Pros | Less breakouts, helping skin, bigger breasts |
|---|---|
| Cons | Anxiety, depression, dizziness, can be considered expensive. |
| Bottom line | I have been using this pill for exactly 2 months and can notice a difference, it is really working. Heaps less breakouts. Side effects are that I'm feeling fatigue, anxiety and very emotional. I'm willing to stick with it though. I feel it's going to be worth it. The cost was $50 for 3 months, so when I think about it, $20 a month really isn't that much for something that works! |

| Pros | it really has improved my skin. No weight changes. I get it for free. Painless and shorter period. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It actually had no effects on facial and other body hair, the main reason for me to take this pill. |
| Bottom line | I've been taking Diane-35 for 4 years now, but I had three 6 months breaks. The acne reapered immeadiatly when i stoped. Actually, acne its not a big issue for me, but I have body hair and some facial and it really didnt work on it. |

| Pros | Porcelain skin, bigger breasts |
|---|---|
| Cons | Quite expensive; if you want to stay beautiful forever, you have to take this pill until the day you die. Once youe get off Diane 35, your acne will be much worse than before you started taking it. |
| Bottom line | Beauty has its risks and price. If you want to feel confident, enjoy life and look fabulous, stick with Diane35 for all eternity. |

| Pros | Perfect Skin in only a couple months, minimal side effects, regulates periods, I get it free from my doctor. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Breast tenderness beginning 10 days before period, decreased sex drive. |
| Bottom line | Extremely happy with this pill, works both as a contraceptive and an acne fighter, minimal side effects compared to other birth control i have been on. |

| Pros | Haven't seen any yet - except for no ovulation pain. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Extremely tender breasts - agony when I take off my bra at night. First period on Diane lasted 12 days, with PMS pain no better than before - and intermittent at other times. |
| Bottom line | I was prescribed Diane-35 for PCOS - primarily excess facial hair. I am finding the side effects too much to bother continuing - and its scary to think of the other more serious side effects like major depression and DVT. I am also concerned what happens when I eventually come off it. What's the point in going through all this if it is only temporarily camouflaging, not solving the hair problem? I am too impatient to wait the 4-6 months to see if it lessens the excess hair, and I certainly don't want to be taking the pill for the rest of my life. Does laser hair removal actually work - is it permanent? I would rather spend the money on this. |

| Pros | Cleard my skin completely in the first 2 months of use. Bigger rounder breasts are a plus. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Increased anxiety, mood swings and a littl depression. also a slight dizzy feeling |
| Bottom line | Ive had moderate acne bothering me for the last 9 years and none of the topical creams or clensers i tied really worked. After 2 months on Diane i feel much prettyer when i look in the mirror because my skin is the best its been in years, plus my breats are bigger! but... i have definatly noticed an inability in controling my emotions. Havent really felt happy or enegertic since taking it. and the more i read about its side effects and dangers on the internet the less i want to continue, im thinking of stopping and changing to minocycline or another treatment. |
