Pros: Less acne, bigger breasts, (birth control? I'm only 15 so maybe they just said it doesn't work because they don't want me having sex.. lol ) oh and definetly less oily hair and skin! Regular period too which is also awesome. =] Cons: Mood swings, depression, heaviest periods of my life! Bottom Line: I have been using Diane 35 for about two months now and I am definetly seeing a change in my skin! And the whole breast thing, my mom just commented on it and she said it did look like i have bigger boobs! score! haha. My acne isn't completely gone yet but its getting there so I think I'll hold out for a while. Everyone should know that it takes time for this to work.. it's not like you're going to use it once and see the results tomorrow! Your body has to adjust to the change in your system. P.S You should also know that some people have found that they were bleeding for the first few months. I am included in this stupid category! I bled for about a month straight.. Pretty brutal. Pros: It did clear my face Cons: This pill has been destroying my life for the past year. Weight gain, depression, mood swings, awful migraines, decreased sex drive and HUNGER ALL THE TIME! Bottom Line: This pill is the devil. If you are willing to destroy the natural balances of your body with this alien poison, do so, but I assure you, this pill has horrible effects. I have been one week off it and I feel renovated, no hunger, I'm losing weight, my mood seems better and thank god no more killer migraines. Until now, I haven't had any acne breakout, but we will see, it's been a short while to say if the acne will be back, I hope not, but if it comes, I swear to the Goddess that I will never use such a medicament again. Pros: Shorter, less painful periods Cons: Mood swings, depression, weight gain, loss of libido Bottom Line: My family doc recommended Diane-35 after having tried everything over the counter and other prescribed drugs. I took it for 4 mths then stopped. It worked then but the acne came back soon after I stopped. When I started visiting my present dermatologist, she insisted that it would work and prescribed it. I have been taking it now for 5 mths and if anything, the acne is worse. Huge painful pimples and even after 2 facial peels, my skin still looks awful. In addition, my legs feel cramped and I have put on weight. As a matter of fact, I am on a combination of diane-35 and doxycycline and some other med I am supposed to take for the first 12 days of the pill. uite frankly, results vary. It works for some, it doesn't for others. I am giving it another month and if things don't change, I am getting off. It would be nice to have a little desire for sex. Pros: Got rid of all of my acne while I was taking it. Cons: Very heavy and extremely painful period (for someone who never had cramps before), weight gain, depression, complete loss of sex drive, pain during sex Bottom Line: Although it got rid of my acne, I would NEVER recommend Diane 35 to anyone. In fact, I have made a point to pass the world along to my friends that it is not a good choice. I'd like to keep the 2 years I was on the pill a distant memory...it was a dark time. I can't remember a day when i didn't cry for no good reason. Before Diane 35, I never had cramps. On Diane 35, they were excrutiating (one month I thought I was having a miscarriage). After a complete loss of sex drive, I decided to stop taking it. It took a good year or so before I felt back to normal. Bottom line, don't risk it. Pros: very clear skin larger breasts birth control (of course) Cons: lower sex drive mood swings higher chance (than normal) of getting pregnant when taken inconsistently Bottom Line: I started taking Diane 35 to help prevent my acne, even before having a boyfriend. Then I got pergnant immediately when I decided to stop taking it because my was acne already healed. I also have lower libido (sex drive) ever since I took Diane. Me and my husband only have sex 3 times at most per month, and I only get aroused once out of those 3. Take Diane 35 if your only goal is to get rid of your pimples, but if you're in a relationship, try other birth control ways instead, like condom or IUD. Pros: clear skin, went up one cup size, regular periods Cons: .... Bottom Line: Great product!!! strongly recommend! I have been on it for 2 months and am just starting into my third! My skin has cleared up substantially since beginning diane 35. I use it in conjunction with proactiv and clindamyacin. Before that I was just using proactiv and it didn't work at all by itself!! I have been on accutane once and the acne came back, though not as bad as before. I am getting the same results from diane i got from accutane w/o the awful risks and side effects of roaccutane. Alot of acne in women is hormonal so if nothing else has worked (i've been there) then give this a try! The only thing i'm worried about is the acne coming back if i stop using it as i will, at some point in the future, like to have children??? Pros: PERFECT Skin, Less body hair, regular cycle Cons: Mood Swings Bottom Line: I had severe cystic acne that persisted for years. I tried everything possible-antibiotics, accutane, topical treatments, ProActive, even other oral contraceptives! NOTHING worked! My doctor decided it must be hormonal and put me on Diane-35, It took 3 months for anything to change but once I hit the 3 month mark all of a sudden the texture of my skin changed and the pimples started to disapear. I couldn't believe it!! Diane 35 worked so well for me. I tried going off 2 years later (was having some mood swings-may not have even been the Diane) and the acne returned after being off it a couple of months and so I went back on and on I will stay... I have to put effort into getting a pimple now... people who didn't know me when I had bad skin are always asking how I keep such clear skin all the time. TRY IT!!! and give it at least 3 months to start working.... even longer DON'T get discouraged, I was there once and won't ever go back! Pros: No acne, skin is smooth, birth control Cons: none Bottom Line: I love Diane, I have been using it for 8 yrs and saw results right away. People ask me all the time what I use to make my skin so smooth (not just my face). I never get a pimple unless I stop taking it for a month, which i do not do anymore because I love the flawless skin and the not getting pregnant. I wish I was having weight gain in my hips but I guess no luck there :). I am sorry that it is not working for everyone maybe you guys should give it some time. My sister is also on Diane and her skin healed from the acne quickly, however she initially had headaches. Pros: breast gain, some might see this as a con prettier hair and skin Cons: initially flare up of cystic acne. weight gain especially around hips severely painful breasts Bottom Line: I only used this drug for 2 months,sporadically not sequentially, so i'm not sure how great my review will be. First time i tried it was great, i had no weight gain, no symptoms at all except for very painful breasts, and my acne went away. Second time however, i had that initially flare up of acne that some talk about. i gained a kilo or two alot of it on my hips :( ! but thankfully it went away when i got off them. I stopped using the drugs for this reason. Use it if you must, but i have heard once you get off the pimples come back with avengance.
