| Bottom line | 1) while I was taking them (for 9 months), I had strong headaches almost every day, and also strange sensation in my right arm(?!) 2) dryness of the eyes, and this is terrible, because I'm wearing contact lenses for 15 years and I didn't have problems, and now my eyes are so dry that I can't stand the lenses anymore. I can't wear glassess cos they don't help, I see poorly with them - I must go on laser operation and pay it app. 2500eur 3) gain weight (and I'm still gaining fat...) about 13 kilos in few months, and I can't lose it, I tried everything... :( 4) my acnes didn't stop, my face is as bad as ever... |

| Bottom line | i haven't gotten any weight gain as many experience. This is my 3rd month of taking diane. however, i noticed that my acne worsened. I am so worried because im up for job interviews this month and i don't want to attend interviews with a really bad breakout... i use it with Proactiv. please let me know if i need to stop taking diane? or is it normal to still have this breakout although i am already taking it? i am a little confused |

| Bottom line | Been on Diane-35 for 2 years. It helps clear my face so it is smooth, only a 1-2 pimples a week before period and gone very quickly. However, I started experiencing depressive mood changes, mild headache, tiredness and freckle on face last year. No weight gained.I am thinking to ask my GP to prescribe me a lower dosage Yasmine, I hope pharmacies have it here in Oz. |

| Bottom line | I have yet to find the "perfect" birth control for me. I dont like the fact that this BCP makes me so tired (like, really tired) and moody. I am going to finish my packs, because I paid for them, and because I noticed clearer skin and I am going on vacation + a wedding and dont want to risk having my acne reappear. I pretty much want a birth control thats excellent for skin with minor side effects... I was thinking of trying Yasmin. Any suggesions? |

| Pros | Improved my skin dramatically. Regular periods. Birth control. Doesn't make the skin sensitive to sun like other oral acne medications. |

| Bottom line | This product does work. It never took my acne away completely, I still got a couple pimples a month (usually around my period). I decided to go off it after being on it for a year and my skin didn't really get worse. After a year of being off it I decided to go back on it. I took Diane 35 for another 2 1/2 year before giving my body a break again, but this time I broke out so bad. I don't know if it was the stress of going back to school, but after about 3 months of going off it, it was like I had the skin of a teenager again. I also experienced a change in my period. Since being off it (almost a year) my periods have gotten very light and last longer than they used to. I would recommend this product, but not as a permanent solution. You shouldn't be on something like this for a long period of time and it does have the same side effects of birth control. |

| Bottom line | My cystic breakout make me looked like I've been splashed with acid (red,flaky,etc). My derm pres. Diane 35 and sampling of Differin. I didn't encounter any depressions, headache or morning sickness, which is good. But,it makes me more susceptible to joint injury (like spraining my wrist while I'm driving...freaky!) but then, maybe it's just me. Anyway, I hope to stop taking Diane 35 in another 3 months, and hopefully Differin could help combat my acne to the roots as informed by my derm. I really hope this works for me. I used to take Accutane, but it makes my body sick and I can't be exposed to the sun (which where I'm living it's not really practical-Malaysia). Hopes to also see the scar fades away (I'm using Bodyshop Vit C Skin Booster + Vit E combo, hopefully it works) |

| Bottom line | Diane has given me 12 years of beautiful smooth skin and the confidence that I wont wake up to a face full of pimples. I first took it for a year and then went off it, but after a year I became frustrated with acne again (can't remember how long it took to return) and went back on it for 12 years (I'm 33 years young now!). I reluctantly stopped taking it 4 months ago as my husband and I would like to try and have a baby. I have had a couple of pimples on my chin but nothing distressing. On the back of my neck I have developed full-on acne but am not too worried about it given it's not a noticeable area. My skin and hair are very oily and my breasts have gone from a D-cup to a B, but nothing too problematic so far (fingers crossed it stays that way). The first 'home-made' period was associated with terrible depression but it only lasted for about two weeks and am feeling normal again. On the weight gain issue - I think all BCPs affect weight. |

| Bottom line | i use these pills before going to sleep as i heard they start "working" after 4-5hrs and can be tough to handle with. although once i took it during the day and had some problems with breathing (like there was no oxygen) and felt too hot all the time. still, i'm more than satisfied with the results and strongly advise it to everyone with similar problems |
