I had severe acne one summer so i decided to go on Diane-35. So i went on it for about a year, after about two weeks i noticed my skin became a lot less oily and greasy looking. After two and a half months my acne had drastically gone and i had only a couple pimples here and there, but i was left with severe acne scars. I also gained about 8 pounds and i was constantly moody.I stayed on it for about a year and a half and then got off. Three months later my acne had returned and it was severe again. Ive now gone back on and my skin is getting a lot better.

I've been on Diane 35 for three months now. I don't notice any real difference. I don't have any change in mood, breasts or weight. I did notice that the acne moved from my cheeks to my chin, but otherwise no change as of yet.

I was put on Diane 35 when I was 18. At this time I was suffering form excess free testosterone and the result was mild hirsitism and acne. After being on the pill for 3 months the hirsitism completely went away as did the acne I didn't gain any weight if anything I lost weight. About age 21 I noticed a bit of weight gain but people though it looked better as I have always been a bit of a stick...though I also noticed a bit a cellulite ....which has for the most part disappeared..(I thought it wasn't supposed to go figure eh?)...This year (age 21) my doctor put me on Tricyclen due to some bad publicity Diane 35 has received for an increased risk of deep vain thrombosis.(though he still thinks individual risk is quite low..he wanted to try me on something different just incase) Diane 35 was a miracle drug for me and I'm a bit paranoid about using tricyclen as I ahev read some horror stories about it casing HAIR LOSS....if thats the case I'd liek to switch back to Diane 35. If anyone has tried these two pills and has any insight on the differences/ superior pill...or any experience with hair loss on tri cyclen plz let me know!

i was finish reading your comment about this pill..i hope it will work for me..im underweight and i got a pimples in my face and backs in wich bothers ame a lot..so i will try this thing

Diane-35 cleared up my skin but every morning i had nausea. I went of Diane but now my pimples are back. Lose-lose situation IMO.

I was on this pill for just over two years and it improved my skin to the point where I only had the occasional outbreak. I stopped taking the pill because I missed a few days and got my period for the second time in one month. While waiting to et back on cycle I noticed that I felt this odd feeling of optimism and happiness. I hadn't even noticed but the whole time I was on this pill there was this huge grey cloud over my head. This feeling of sadness and hopelessness had just crept over me so slowly I didn't even know it was there. Now that I am back to myself again and with acne again. I am trying to decide which makes me more depressed, the pill, or being 22 and still having acne?

I tried everything since the age of 15...prescription pills, creams, etc from the best dermotologists and none of them helped, but Diane-35 cleared up my skin within 2-3 months. I had smooth skin, no oily skin or oily hair, and my period was super regular and painless compared to before. I didn´t even breakout during my period and I stopped losing hair. I loved it. But after 6months of using diane-35, I gained a lot of weight. My mom couldn´t believe it. It happened so fast that I didn´t realize it till I weighed 15lbs more. My diet didn´t change...but weight kept coming on. I started going to the gym, but oddly enough I couldn´t lose it...normally after a couple months of yoga, stairs, running...I would see a difference. I saw nothing. I was 20 yrs old with a metoblism of an old person. I used to be in excellent shape. So, I quit diane-35 to take a break. My skin broke out in 2weeks after quitting the pill and my hair and skin were more oily than before. My pores are huge and I started to breakout on my body in places I have never before. I had no idea you could breakout on arms and legs. I suffer worse after getting off the pill. I have been off the pill for 4months and my weight has not gone back to normal.
I think this pill does lower libido...but to different degrees for different people. I plan to go back on diane35 to feel again what it was like to have perfect skin....then I plan to research an alternative bc with an anti acne objective.

I've been on diane twice, the first time i cleared up almost completely within 3 months, but when i stopped working i couldn't afford it. i assumed my acne was gone but one month after i went off of it it came back almost worse than before. as soon as i noticed it was back i got money and went back on it, i totally regret it though because it's been 2.5 months and i'm JUST noticing results now =( i've also noticed decreased body hair, the hairs on my arms, legs, and armpits have become a lot more fine and there are fewer of them. that's a very nice plus. i would definatly recommend diane, i know it doesn't work the same for everyone but it's worth giving it a chance.

Well i am just starting Diane 35 and I am 14 yrs old. My acne is mild-medium, and I am excited to see a change. To be honest I am also excited for a couple of the side effects (bigger boobs, and gain in weight). I have just read over all these comments, and I think the side effects most people here have had are just mental problems. Like hypocondreact or however you spell that. I think if you just have a positive attitude towards iit all it will turn ot well.

I have been on this pill for 1 1/2 years. This pill is mildly effective at clearing acne. I still get zits every day. Also, it seems i have developed bad chest acne. I didn't gain any weight, in fact, most likely lost 5 pounds. I don't believe it has affected my moods either. I'm switching to a new pill to see if it will work for my acne.
