Pros: Acne is gone. Scaring from the acne is dramtically reduced. my periods are light, less than 4 days and i am overall a happier person. Cons: none Bottom Line: I recommend that you do not give up after a month or two. it took 3 or more months for me to start seeing results but it is worth every minute and every penny. Pros: Less oily skin, contraception, less menstrual cramps, lighter flow Bottom Line: Helped my skin and reduced cramping significantly. Flow is a lot lighter now. Pros: none just yet. Cons: increased appetite, moodswings, cystic breakouts (they dont look like pimples, more like blisters) Bottom Line: i'm 18 and i've only just started to take diane 35. I'm about one and a half months into it, and my skin seems to be worse than it was before. i'll remain optimistic that it will begin to take affect around 3/4 months or even 6 months, but that still doesnt help in the mean-time. I hate looking in the mirror and have deliberately avoided seeing my friends on various occasions because my skin has been so bad. i have recently lost a loved one, and so i find i can cry a lot easier than ever before, where as before i barely EVER shed a tear. i really really hope the diane works for me because nothing else has in the past. but right now, i feel ugly. Pros: I would say... NONE! Cons: Moody & irritable, depressed, heavy period, cystic breakout Bottom Line: With so many things on the market, you'd be better off steering clear of this. Pros: Haven't seen any yet. I'm taking them to clear my unwanted facial hair and because I have polycystic ovaries. (I don't have acne) Cons: Had abdominal pain the first week. Bloated. Boobs grew. Liquids retention. Tired, sleepy. Weight gain. Bottom Line: I've been taking Diane 35 for 2-1/2 weeks. Not sure if I want to keep going on. I used to take it when I was 23 (now 33) and the side effects weren't that bad back then. Recommended: No Usage: Pris has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: It was recomended for my polycystic ovaries and intense pains on the right hand side of my stomach Cons: Really bad mood swings, bloated, naseau, fatigue, blury vision Bottom Line: Stay off bith control pills and trust God to help you and direct you. Pros: Birth Control; Clearer skin, regulated period, slightly fuller breast Cons: Increased menstrual pain while on the pills. Weight gain; Skin more oily and broke out more after stopping; Increased menstrual pain; Constant hunger Bottom Line: It is not worth it. The cons outweight the pros. I took Diane for birth control purposes. I never had to take pain killers before, but while on this I had to take pain killers if not I would not be able to sleep. Weight gain was horrible, so I stopped after 3 cycles. I am petite (5ft) small boned, asian built. My hips grew from a size 0 to a size 4 within a month. My stomach also grew larger. Pants and skirts which I could have pulled off without unbuttoning before, I barely can zip/button up now. I had to buy a whole new wardrobe. (my cousin was also on Diane for half a year, skirts that hung on her waist now can barely fit her hips) Skin and scalp felt oilier after I stopped Diane, and my forehead broke out, which is unlike the past when I had zero acne. While on diane, I was considerably hungrier, and ate more than double my normal serving of rice. Pros: great skin, no oil, didn't even have to wear cover up, regular periods, hardly any cramps Cons: DEPRESSED, shortness of breath, moody, increase in headaches, chest pains Bottom Line: I took Diane-35 for a year and 4 months. It was awesome for my skin, and cleared it up so well I was the happiest I had ever been at the beginning. About a year into it I began having really bad shortness of breaths and ended up in the hospital 2 times, not knowing why I had chest pains and couldn't catch my breath. It was the scariest thing I had ever gone through, but the doctors were idiots and did all these tests on me and had no idea what was wrong with me. I ended up searching the side effects of the Diane and found out that the severe side effects were chest pain and shortness of breath. I got off the pill immediately. I used to be super depressed to the point where I didnt want to get out of bed, let alone live. My sex drive was brutal, I didn't have sex with my boyfriend for over a year. Iv been off the pill for 5 months now, and my skin is the worst it's ever been, but my mood has been so much better and my sex drive is back. Im able to breath fine.I am on no pills since. Pros: Reduced number of migraines, skin is perfect, no oil in skin or hair Cons: I've heard that there is a greater chance of blood clots while taking this particular drug Bottom Line: I took this drug for about 4 years and it worked perfectly for me. I've suffered from migraines for the past 18 years and they got better once I started Diane-35. My skin is perfect and my hair takes forever to get oily - love it! I switched to another BC pill (Seasonale) about 6 weeks ago as I was scared of the increased risk of blood clots, and it's been a complete nightmare. Extreme mood swings, depression, MANY migraines, gas/intestinal pain, etc. I need to go back on Diane-35, despite the risks. I simply can't live the way I have been lately - 5 migraines a week that completely wipe me out ... not acceptable! Diane-35 isn't for everyone, but it is perfect for some. Pros: clear skin Cons: DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL- THE SIDE EFFECTS ARE HORRIFIC! Bottom Line: i have been on this pill for 3.5 5years , i DO KNOW that it works for acne like a charm, you feel great, no weight gain, perfect skin - YES, ALL OF THAT IS TRUE,the horror starts when you go off the pill. trust me - it is not worth it. i have been off of the pill since 2004 - i am having side effects still. after you drop the pill- your acne will go 1000 times worse, like you have never seen it and it will not respond to anything other than you going on this pill again. i have spent years trying everything and anything and seeing all doctors only to hear- you took this pill - this is what you signed up for. and now its been 5 years. i am trying to stop this from happening to anyone else . you can contact me if you have qn's at any time - i am happy to help anyone who would need it, "svenssonkate@[link removed]". please do not end up in the same shoes as me.. this pill should be eliminated, it does not tell you what the effect will be....
