Bottom line I'm new to this product but it is already helping me soooo much! I use the moisturizer in conjunction with their face wash. (Same brand desert essence.) highly recommend this to others, have used neutrogena before, proactiv, a lot of expensive spa products, murad, philosophy.. i haven't seen results with those products as i have with just using this system for two nights.

Pros -Acts as an astringent; it draws out blackheads
Cons -Extremely irritating & drying
Bottom line I'm a mid-20's female with pretty dry skin. I've never had acne on my forehead. After using this, I did. My forehead is covered in little pimples, my cheeks, which rarely break-out, are spattered with large zits, and my usual jaw and chin problem is even worse. I kept using it for 4-6 weeks because I like to give every product a full chance. I suspect that it irritated my already dry skin enough to make it break out more. If you are at all dry, stay away from this. Even massive amounts of jojoba oil didn't stop the dryness and irritation. If you're oily, this may be a good choice for you, but even then, be sure to moisturize.

Pros Excellent for fighting bacteria
Cons Slightly drying
Bottom line I use this on my face AND on my body. It works better than the body wash and I do not have problems with body odor anymore.

In addition to Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Facewash I also use Mychelle products on my face and have been quite pleased with them. The pumkin face lotion is great and the sunscreen is a must. Love the fruit fiesta face soap too and the scrub for every other day. ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN!

Pros Definitely cleanses and removes makeup.
Cons Very very drying. this is NOT fr sensitive skin users who have combo skin. This dehydrated and painfully dried out my skin and neck.
Bottom line If you tend to be very oily and shiny oily than I think this will be a good fit. If you have combo skin and sensitive skin- THIS IS NOT GOOD.

Pros Controls oil. A little goes a long way.
Cons Can be slightly drying but I have found that if I use this once a day (usually at night) and then Cetaphil once a day(usually in morning) that my skin is just fine. I just make sure to alternate so it doesnt dry my skin out.
Bottom line It has improved my skin tremendously, I cut out all sacilyic acid and my skin has never looked better. I did have hormonal acne around my mouth and always on my chin and it is finally shrinking, I definately reccomend this cleanser with a gentle one and a light lotion.

Pros nice earthy smell, keeps my skin 95% clear, makes my skin soft, natural ingredients
Cons It can definitely dry out your skin if you do not moisturize. I put a little bit of jojoba oil into my dispenser to combat this.
Bottom line I really like this cleanser... I recently got a foaming dispenser and I love the feel of it even more now! I doubted it at first because of the dryness and the runny consistency, but now that I put it in a foaming dispenser, it works very well for me. I highly recommend adding jojoba oil to the cleanser because its good for your skin, and it will help with the dryness if it bothers you.

It didn't clear up my skin 100%, but there is definite improvement. (Almost nothing will clear up my skin because of birth control aka hormones, so I think this is my best bet). Overall, its a great natural alternative to putting a bunch of detergents on my face, it makes my skin soft, and it helped clear my skin up!

Bottom line I use this in conjunction with pure jojoba oil and my face has been very pleased with me. Finally*

The best part, I don't have to use a toner (which i've always hated).

Pros I first tried this at a friends house, and was amazed how clean and different my face felt after using it. I got the big size bottle, 32oz. I love this product, no break outs since first use.
I see different results from diff people..try it.
Cons None so far..I will post again if anything comes up.
Bottom line I paid 10.99 at Wholefoods for 32oz bottle, will be buying foam dispenser, and everything should be peachy. I've tried so many soups and creams, this by far the best cleaner for me.

Pros all-natural, affordable, effective!
Cons watery consistency but i remedy this by putting it in a foaming dispenser; not only does this make the foam for you but it also helps you use less thus making it last forever!
Bottom line this is the best cleanser i've ever used! i've definitely noticed a decrease in my acne/clogged pores. about 3 months ago i had terrible cystic acne and well over 100 clogged pores scattered over my cheeks. fast forward to now - my skin is 99% clear!
