| Bottom Line: | This is dermadration you guys are talking about microdermadration. Dermabration literaly shaves off your skin and allows new one to grow back. It's painful, but for some people it does give good results.

| Pros: | it got rid of some of my scaring |
| Cons: | throught out micro i still broke out so it wont help for breakout. |
| Bottom Line: | i did noticed a diff within the third session, but i think its important to see a dermtalogist for oral medications as your getting treated b/c the oral med is what helps keep clear, while micro is just helping with scars. |

| Pros: | gets rid of dead cells, evens skin tone |
| Cons: | expensive, didn't help my acne |
| Bottom Line: | I first had Microdermabrasion done at Rizzieri's salon in Washington. It evened out my skin tone but didn't do much for my acne. I stopped going after quite a few treatments because it wasn't helping and was wasting money. Later on I went to Susan Bullock of the Washington Twp. Dermatology Center. She recommended Microdermabrasion for my acne so I gave it a shot a second time. She said their machine was stronger then the one used at Rizzieri's so I was convinced it would work out this time. A few months went by and there was no improvement in my acne. I still was breaking out and didn't see any difference in my Nothing. Nada. What a waste of money. I really wanted it to work out. They only tell you to get it done to cover the cost of buying Microdermabrasion machine. If you really want to try Microdermabrasion purchase a home kit and save your money. Derm-e has a Microdermabrasion product. |

| Bottom Line: | For existing acne, just use accutane. I no longer suffer acne. Forget about all the warnings out there, i've never been happier.
As for the scars, i'm going to do more research on laser resurfacing. the entire face can be done for 1250 at some of the places i've scoped. |

| Pros: | dermabrasion does not work. i have had 6 treatments and looks great when you get it done but i still have cratersin by sking from acne and scars.i is expensive and the before and after photos that they show you are fake. |
| Bottom Line: | instead of all these treatments the best is to go see your doctor and ask for anti biotics which help acne disappear 100% with regards to scars they will disappear over time and regards to craters in your skin its sad to know it will stay forever one advise try not to pick scars |

| Pros: | It removes dead, flaking skin.. temporarily gives smooth even look for special occasions. |
| Cons: | Does not give you permanent results, and veryvery expensive! What a racket it is! |
| Bottom Line: | I really think the dermabrasion machines are a scam, the results are not permanent, the price is outrageous... of course I did treatments when it first became popular and realized belatedly I was simply paying the cost of their equipment. Basically I think besides exfoliating your skin, the machine simply causes your skin to swell and have a temporary filling out of scars and smooth appearance--IT DOES NOT LAST!!! A rip off and a farce. Now I can use store products that pretty much give me the same results--including a dermabrasion cloth that works as well as an office visit.I would never pay 50.00 to 100.00 plus for a dermabrasion ever again. I wasted a couple of thousand dollars on the machines and I regret it. |

| Pros: | none |
| Cons: | rolling acne scars looked worse after dermabrasion difficult recovery |
| Bottom Line: | I would not recommend dermabrasion for moderate to severe acne scars. I had the procedure many years ago but it didn't help the appearance of my rolling scars at all. In fact, I believe it made some of them worse. The recovery is no fun--red face for a long time and having to keep the face moist for several days is difficult. Since my procedure I have learned that you must find a doctor that is very skilled in doing dermabrasions (mine had minimal experience). Many physicians won't even do them. Very difficult for the doctor to determine how "deep" to go. They often err on the cautious side and therefore, not good results. It was a waste of money for me. |

| Pros: | N/A |
| Cons: | Doesn't do anything for scars and it's expensive over the long term. |
| Bottom Line: | If your going to do something about scars the only and best thing to do is laser resurfacing but it's expensive, $8,000 Cnd. |
