| Cons | This product made my skin clear the first few days and then my acne became worse than it was when I was a teenager ! I had constant breakouts all over my face in areas I have never broken out. The product also was extremely drying and caused itching redness. Skin flakes off even with moisturizer and scars and redness never fade away. I hope my skin can get back to normal soon after stopping Clinique! |

| Bottom line | I enjoy this product's effectiveness for a couple weeks, I noticed towards the end of the bottle that I was breaking out into a rash. I had gotten a spray tan during and thought that maybe I was allergic to the spray tan, so I scrubbed it off. My rash continued. So I bought Burt's Bees Deep cleansing wash and I shampooed my carpets, deep cleaned my bed and washed my dogs thinking it was something they brought in. My rash went away, all was fine. Well I bought this product again and two days after using I noticed the rash was back. :( I love the product, but it is too much for my skin. So I decided to go back to their original 3-Step System. My skin care relies on Clinique, I even only use their makeup. That's how dedicated I am to this line. |

| Bottom line | I was using the 3 steps about six months and at the beginning it was Ok, though it doesn't clear up my face but reduced the pimples, I had to deal with 2-3 a week. Over time my skin began to turn red gradually and after that I noticed that it is so dry that I need more of the 3 step which made my face glowing but didn't effectively moisturize it. After a few months my face felt as if I had leather instead of skin, and I began also getting bigger red bumps. Then I stopped it and decided to try another system. Unfortunately, now I have to take some break because of the overdriness and the destructive causes of the natural balance of the skin, because over time that's what this product has done. I now only wash my face twice a day with Cetaphil and treat the pimples locally, but I am feeling better, because after all I love my skin and want to give her love. I recommend the product if you want to try the Clinique system, but I would not recommend it for long-term use and be kept as an effective regiment. |

| Bottom line | Be very careful with this product. Everyone's skin is different and this product is very strong and definitely not for everyone. I have used this for a couple of months and it has make my skin horrible. I have been getting huge pimples on my face that are extremely painful. These big painful pimples that I got are actually infections caused by dry skin from using this product. Our pores have sebaceous glands which produce sebum (an oily/waxy matter). When our skin sheds, some dead skin cells left behind may become stuck together by the sebum which causes a blockage of the pore. The glands then produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage creating pimples. Having dry skin interrupts the skins natural shedding process and can cause more blockage to our pores, and in turn, pimples. The sebum can't get out when our skin is dry cause it blocks the pores, so keep your skin hydrated! I learnt this when I went to a spa this past weekend to get a facial and purchased organic hydrating products and can already see an improvement in my face. Dermotologists and other specialists will tell you that it is good to dry out pimples which is completely wrong. Be careful when looking for acne products as people are usually trying to push certain products for compensation and/or are just unknowledgeable. It's not that easy, as even specialists and professionals misguide you with their advice and they are the ones who are supposed to be the experts. |

| Bottom line | I started using this product because I have started to breakout a lot more. I tried everything, clean and clear, neutrogena, tea tree from bodyshop.. So I decided to try the clinique acne system. Worst decision of my life! The first few days it helped reduce the size of my pimples but then after a week my skin was 100X worst then it's ever been! I have cystic acne on my chin, near my mouth and they take forever to leave and then come back really quickly! I used to hardly breakout and now its really bad! I am going to stop using clinique and see what happens! this product has ruined my skin |

| Bottom line | This product was the best I have used to solve my acne problems. The three step solution is prefect, easy and quick to use morning and night. The clarifying lotion shows the dirt and makeup that is being removed, so I know that the product is working. A simple solution to the dryness issue is to skip the moisturizer when necessary and use a normal, non medicated moisturizer. I expecially love how this product has a makeup line with it, which is also medicated products. Within a few days I felt a significant difference within my skin, and within a week or so change showed. I love my skin now! |

| Bottom line | this stuff is amazing! i tried the regular clinique 3-step system, and it didnt' work. after reading reviews, i decided to give this a shot, and thank god i did! in just a week, my acne was completely cleared up, and i only get the occasional blemish. also, despite what i had heard, it doesn't dry out my skin. definitely try this out! |

| Bottom line | First, let me just get this out of the way-- those of you who just get a couple pimples here and there, or simply wish your pores were cuter, this product was not made for you, and you shouldn't be using it! This is a fairly heavy duty product. I am 31 and my skin was great in high school. In college it started to get worse, and for the past year it's been worse than ever. We're talking big, painful, itchy, humiliating zits that spawn and scar like crazy. I've been resisting trying something like this because I generally prefer to go the natural route-- but tea tree oil/etc. just was not working. Nothing was working. After 10 days, my skin has completely cleared. The scars are still there of course, but I can touch my face and it doesn't hurt. Yes, it's drying-- that's how this stuff gets the job done. I skip the lotion every few days and use regular moisturizer instead to alleviate the flakiness, plus drink lots of water and eat plenty of citrus, nuts, etc. Will definitely be getting this product again. |

| Bottom line | for the record, I have never written a review on anything, but thought I should since I saw some negative reviews on these products. I'm 35 and have tried everything out there for my acne. After one week on this system, I am clear and very smooth!!! What I didn't realize, until I went for a facial, was that my pores were majorly clogged and that's why my skin was so rough and bumpy, even when I didn't have active breakouts. Facials were not working. I would be clear for a day, then rough and bumpy the next. This system cleaned out my pores in no time and the BP dried up my hormonal, cystic acne quick!! During the first 5-6 days, I did break out a lot. However, I think that my pores were clearing during this time. Now, i don't have a single pimple, and I actually have the confidence to go to the gym without makeup. I can't stop touching my face because it is so soft! now, yes, you will be very dry. I used the Moisture Surge moisturizer on top of the benzoyl peroxide moisturizer. The Moisture Surge is oil free and I loaded my face with it. You can also dab it on AFTER you put on makeup, to get rid of dry patches. It is a gel, not a cream, and it is AMAZING!!! I'm at 12 days right now, and the dryness is easing up. I think i went through a flaky phase in the beginning, similar to what a light peel would do. So, I am a firm believer in these products since I've tried everything and nothing has worked. You have got to give it the full 2 weeks as it says on the kit packaging, and use it twice a day. do not give up when your skin starts to break out more. Stick it out, and it will get better after your pores purge completely!! I can't believe that I finally love my skin after all of these years looking for a miracle! |

After about 4 days everything started to go away. I love this thing. I feel confident and it working for me. You really need to try this ! |
