Pros Makes skin softer
Washes off makeup
Fast results
Zits become smaller within a night
Cons Dried out skin
Toner stings when applying to open pores from popped zits
Bottom line I started breaking out really bad around December, but I didn't start using Clinique until late January. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. At first, I didn't see any results that were listed in the reviews. It actually broke me out a little more (it says it on the information guide that comes with the acne set). I was going to stop using it, but after 1 and a half week, I began noticing that my acne stopped. I am now dealing with acne from probably a week ago. My face hurts less. It is also much smoother! The only thing is that it dries out my skin =/. And when I pop a pimple or accidentally scratch on it and wash my face and applied the toner, it stings. I'm not trying to scare you. It actually worked for me. My family noticed how my skin is getting better. But to be honest, I didn't depend on acne medication that much. I tried eating a better diet too. Hope this helps!

Pros - Cleared acne after dedicated usage
- Made face look overall cleaner, fresher, smoother
- Paired with Even Better skin tone corrector moisturized, made skin very soft.. cleared acne dark spots.
Cons - Dries skin out (however, I pair the system with the Even Better skin tone corrector moisturizer for the acne spots I had)
Bottom line I have bought this product again and again. It is expensive, but for me, definitely worth it. I have mild acne, (I used to have it pretty severe when I was younger, however it's mild now and I only have dark spots left from picking at my face when I was younger -- terrible!)

I used the system morning and night, and after each use I used the Even Better Skin Tone Corrector Moisturizer. It never felt too dry after. I use bare minerals make up, and it didn't seem to affect anything.

I will continue to buy this product. It hits my pockets hard, but after dedicated usage, my skin looks and feels better and I feel more confident in my appearance.

(Total price -- about 100. 50 for the kit and 50 for the moisturizer.)

Pros Clears acne and simple blemishes in a reasonable amount of time
Normalizes skin tone
Quality Product
Cons Very Pricey
Must incorporate other Clinique products with the Acne Solutions line for it to work
Bottom line Works good if you use it consistently. For starters I have very oily skin, especially my cheek and forehead areas. I purchased my Clinique products a month a ago, and they have cleared up my acne alot. I am still working on eliminating the dark spots on my cheeks, chin, and forehead. They were very very dark at the start of using Clinique, and now they have lightened up just a little bit, but not completely. My skintone seems to also be evening out thorughout the process. Here is my weekly skincare routine. Hopefully it helps someone else.

Products I'm using
Clinique Acne Solutions Cleanser
Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion
Clinique SPF 50 Sunscreen
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector
Clinique Super Exfoliating Scrub

For Mornings I use:
Cleanser
Clarifying Lotion
Sunscreen
Dark Spot Corrector (Must use with a Sunscreen to prevent future dark spots)

For Nights I use:
Cleanser
Clarifying Lotion
Moisturizing Gel
Dark Spot Corrector

Weekends I use:
Cleanser
Exfoliating Scrub
Moisturing Gel
Dark Spot Corrector

VERY IMPORTANT: One thing for people using the dark spot corrector. If you use it with a sunscreen, eventually you will no longer need it. Because it will help to clear up your current dark spots, and then you will only need the sunscreen by itself. So the corrector is temporary but the sunscreen is permanent.

Pros - Clears acne
- Works to get to the root of the problem
- Great skin perfecting foundation
- AMAZING results (3 months in)
- Like antibiotics for your face
- Even skin tone (3 months in)
Cons - PRICEY!
- For "Amazing" results use with
- Even Better
- AS Oil control mask
- Even better exfoliant
- Time consuming process
Bottom line (TO SAVE MONEY BUY THE AS BAR INSTEAD OF THE FOAM)

Hey I'm Corey black college student from Chicago. I only found out aboutClinique due to my grandmother getting employed there.

I had pretty bad dark spots and acne as well. Oh and I had these wierd under the skin bumps that were the mf worst.I used this stuff and at first my acne got ten times worst and I was ready to toss it.

My granny told me to keep at it though. She said that the first month it pulls all acne beneath the skin. Sure enough it did clear up mid second month. I have not had one dark spot since using it great stuff.

By using only the AS treatment alone you get average results nothing too amazing especially if you dont shave. However, paired with other products from the Clinique line you get skin so great all of my ex gfs wanted to know what I used. When girls want to know you know its good. Still, the cost can be steep so I suggest using the extra less than advised to save on monthly cost.

Pros Amazing moisturizer
Toner makes your skin feel clean
Fast results
Cons Only works for a few months
Skin gets immune to it
Bottom line Im 21 I've had acne since I was 14. I tried the 3 step system for combination skin wasn't expecting dramatic results but i was pleasantly surprised. It really worked. My skin used to have redness and pimples all over my cheeks and it cleared 80% of it. Theres a big problem though... The effect was only for 4 months after my skin just got used to it and my acne came back.
It's worth trying but keep in mind that it will only temporarily control acne

Pros Made zits smaller.
Cons Dried and irrated skin very expensive. It is too much for its quality.
Bottom line Not the best it cleanses but doesn't get rid. It upsets me that it started eating at me and hurting my skin.

Pros exfoliates
takes away redness
cleans pores
shrinks pores
Cons cost
Bottom line For those of you who claim that it dries you out, well yes its supposed to do that because its supposed to exfoliate your skin (kind of like accutane). This will make your acne worse since your old skin may have bacteria, dirt or oil which would be your future pimple.

This product is wonderful, its meant for people with serious acne. I am on my third set of acne solutions. After being on accutane, it has helped to keep me clear since i started to get my cystic acne back within a year. if its too dry then just get their moisture surge gel and it will help. Also try the clay mask for acne solutions, it really helps to take out blackhead and other stuff. I will keep using it.

Pros - My skin felt fresh
- Cleared up all blackheads
- Got rid of my oily skin (to normal)
Cons - After 3 months, I was still not clear of acne
- My acne was worse than before
- Expensive
Bottom line I was using this for 3 months, and at the start my skin did get worse but the 3 step does claim that your skin will most likely get worse before getting better. The lady at the counter said most people's acne clears up at around 6 weeks of using it, mine however did not but even so I stuck with it. I kept telling myself that my skin would eventually be clear, but my acne never cleared and I finally realised that this was not helping so I went off it. My skin was better before I started this whole clinique regimen.

Cons This product made my skin clear the first few days and then my acne became worse than it was when I was a teenager ! I had constant breakouts all over my face in areas I have never broken out. The product also was extremely drying and caused itching redness. Skin flakes off even with moisturizer and scars and redness never fade away. I hope my skin can get back to normal soon after stopping Clinique!

Pros Cleared up Acne
Cons VERY drying
Bottom line I enjoy this product's effectiveness for a couple weeks, I noticed towards the end of the bottle that I was breaking out into a rash. I had gotten a spray tan during and thought that maybe I was allergic to the spray tan, so I scrubbed it off. My rash continued. So I bought Burt's Bees Deep cleansing wash and I shampooed my carpets, deep cleaned my bed and washed my dogs thinking it was something they brought in. My rash went away, all was fine. Well I bought this product again and two days after using I noticed the rash was back. :( I love the product, but it is too much for my skin. So I decided to go back to their original 3-Step System. My skin care relies on Clinique, I even only use their makeup. That's how dedicated I am to this line.
