i only bought the moisturizer because it is the only thing contains benzoyl peroxide. and i have to say it works for me even though i use very small amount. it works slowly so you have to give it time. i would definitely repurchase it since it works. one thing bad about it is the price. the moisturizer which is the only thing work for me costs $$17. too expensive and the i think it's only 2 oz. i may buy dan's treatment since i know benzoyl peroxide works for me. give it a try and take some time.

oh another thing is once you use this you cannot quit it, because once you quit, you acne comes back!

Pros

  • helps my acne

Cons

  • too expensive
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 17
  • I recommend using this treatment.

So i been suffering from acne for the past 7 years . I've used proactiv(waste of money), Murad(completely ruined my skin, i beilieve my acne got severe after murad 4 years ago.), exposed(its ait), a lot of over the counter products (none worked), many antibiotics, dan's regime, retin a, climandicin, ziana (complete ruin my skin as well 4 months ago).

The only think that worked for me was the ratin a, bactrim, and clindamacin regime, it controled my acne for almost a year but stopped working :(

Anyways I been using Clinique acne solution for 3 weeks now and it has def cleared me up. I think its a great product and u guys should give it a try. Im also taking bactrim once a day to help the clinique. My acne went from severe moderate to light moderate which is a huge improvement. I also use concha nascar bleach cream for my scars for one hour at night and it has helped me with my scars.. Overall clinique might be price but it might help your acne get it under control, try with an anti biotic for even better results. .Good luck and ill keep u guys posted :) oh And i use it day and night.. also use a different moisturizer during the day.. I use cera vu.. hope it keeps working..

Pros

  • It cleared my forehead, right cheek, and neck
  • Made the blackheads in my nose minimize :)
  • My face is not as oily
  • more confidence

Cons

  • Left cheek still have 4-6 pimples( really small ones tho)
  • The price in the long term
  • moderately severe
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 35
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I bought the 3-Step System plus the supplementary spot gel. I used this religiously for 5 weeks. Whilst my spots were under control, I was still dealing with around 6-8 active spots.

*Foaming Cleanser*

This stuff is great, it smells lovely, it is gentle, the ingredients are good. I will try the bar next time purely because I hear it lasts longer and therefore better value

*Clarifying Lotion*

This isn't lotion, it feels like an alcoholic toner and the Clinique counter lady described it as a gentle exfoliant. She was right, after using this with a cotton pad I always see a layer of dry skin coming off. It is more gentle than an exfoliant wash which are harsh and tearing on my skin.

It does sting a little, especially on active spots.

*Moisturiser*

You need to use a lot of this for any moisturising effect at all. It is so drying, I couldn't smile! I won't buy this again, I replaced this with Cetaphil in my regimen.

....

*Spot Gel*

I used this after the clarifying lotion before the moisturiser and sometimes during the day. It stings A LOT. I didn't find it any more effective than Clean and Clear or Freederm spot treatment, apart from it is far dearer.

To conclude, I do like Clinique as a brand. I will be buying the clarifying lotion and the soap bar when I run out.

I asked the counter lady for a tester amount but she claimed not to have any, which has forced me into a very expensive trial and error situation! I am going to try to return the moisturiser.

Pros

  • Controls acne
  • Nice packaging
  • Smells nice
  • Trust the brand and intredients
  • Doesn't break me out

Cons

  • The exfoliating clarifying lotion stings somewhat
  • The moisturiser isn't moisturising
  • The additional spot gel stings a LOT
  • Very expensive - over £50
  • Didn't clear my acne
  • for about a month
  • $ 56
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Ive used this product for about 6 months. Ive tried everything under the sun including the acne.org system nothing cleared it up completely until this. For the first few weeks it was great my face cleared up so much, but after that it did break me out again, but dont give up on it if you stay with it it will clear up completely. For me it does take time for this to work I would say around 1-5 months for ur skin to get use to it. I use to have really inflamed acne all over my face and now I only get maybe one to two pimples with in a few weeks and they are really small. At first I bought the 3 products this came with but I was having problems with the cleanser not taking all my make up off. So what I did was buy the acne bar soap and use that as the cleanser, It last soo much longer then the foam it takes off all my make up and its great for body acne as well. It cleared my acne that I have had since I was 15/16. Just make sure you dont touch ur face during the day. Also try a cream that has scrubbing beads(I use St. Ives Timeless skin, I dont use a scrub that has harsh peroxides for acne bc it drys the skin out more) maybe 3 times a week, but make sure not to put a lot of pressure when using it just a very light touch and rub it for about 5-10 seconds and rinse it off with warm water. The clinique system does not help with scars so Im still looking for a product to help with that, but at least I dont have all the pimples Ive had before! Try it and keep with it! I hope you have success with it as I have!

Pros

  • Cleared acne

Cons

  • Drying
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 30
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I have oily, sensitive skin & have been breaking out from almost every skin care product I tried. My mother actually called me & told me to try this out, & I thought "I doubt it's going to work, but I'll give it a try." Within a week, my acne cleared up. I mean, that's fast. I was so happy. The only problem I had was that it was so drying, to the point where my face felt stiff. It says to continue using it even after your acne is gone, to prevent acne, but I don't think I will. I just hope my acne doesn't come back after I stop using this kit.

Pros

  • Cleared my acne

Cons

  • Drying
  • moderately severe
  • for a few weeks
  • I recommend using this treatment.

It does work but it doesn't last unfortunatly, I am waiting till it runs out then moving on to a new product.

Pros

  • Works wonders for the first 2 weeks

Cons

  • After 2 weeks it stopped working and I am back where I started
  • The lotion is very irritating when you have any inflammation
  • Costly
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 60
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I bought Clinique because it was recommended by several friends who also have acne.

I am using several things and it has only been ONE week and I have noticed improvements in my skin overall.

If I am wearing make-up:

Remove it with Cetaphil

Use the three step system

Moisturize with Ponds Clarant B (redness remover)

I am also taking DIM supplements because I already know my acne is due to imbalanced hormones (tested by my doc) and I didn't want to take birth control so I tried some natural alternatives to balance the hormones.

It could be a combination of everything but my face does feel healthier and although I broke out slightly in the first couple of days, everything looks like it's healing and I don't have new breakouts.

Clinique doesn't smell fancy, but hey- it's medicine. My skin is pretty tough so it doesn't burn at all for me, but it is drying so I always use a moisturizer after. Also- after a week's use, it looks like I barely put a dent into the amount, so I think this will easily last me two months if not more.

Pros

  • Not too pricey (compared to Proactiv and some of the more recognized products)
  • Long-lasting
  • Makes skin feel fresh

Cons

  • Doesn't wash off makeup
  • moderately severe
  • for about a week
  • $ 49.95

It may work for some people, but it without a doubt made my skin worse than it's been in my life. Be careful with this.

Pros

  • N/A

Cons

  • Totally ruined my skin. Before I used this I had about 5 pimples. When I stopped (3 days later), my whole forehead was covered in them, I had a cyst/nodule on my chin and cheek which I have NEVER had before using this. The only way I was able to get rid of the nodules was by using drawing salve to draw out the infection. It's now been 6 months since I stopped using it and I'm just now getting rid of the white bumps it left all over my cheeks.
  • moderate
  • for about a week
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.
