If you are patient, it does work. I use these products religiously twice a day everyday - no exceptions! Every month, around my ovulation and period, I get 1-2 almost pimples but they never fully materialize and they are gone within 2-3 days. I'm happy I stuck with this product. It's the first I found that works for me and I think it is because it combines salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Most lines are one or the other and that did not seem to work for me. Good luck on your quest to be acne free!

Pros

  • Non-drying. Easy to use. Does not smell weird.

Cons

  • Expensive and takes 3 months to fully work though I saw some results within days.
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 50
  • I recommend using this treatment.

  • got rid of some acne

Cons

[not submitted]
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • $ 40

I've had moderate acne for most of my adult life, and I found this product about a year ago, I have tried other brands, but always come back to this one.

These are small versions of larger products, I wouldn't recommend for daily usage but maybe two or three times a week, it might dry up your skin too much.

Last moth a tried Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Trifix lotion with horrible results, I broke up like I hadn't in years, after a couple of weeks of that, I stopped and immediately returned to Clinique's system, I won't be making the same mistake again.

Like suggested in acne.org, I sometimes use the wash as shaving cream and the lotion as aftershave, the moisturizer is good, but it's more like cream, so I still use another more potent moisturizer on top of it (Action by Anthony Logistics), this combo is working great.

So in conclusion, A++ products, highly recommended!

Pros

  • + Everything you need in one package
  • + Light smell
  • + Matte finish moisturizer
  • + Clears and heals!

Cons

  • A bit overdrying
  • Too little product for the price (still worth it!)
  • Won't cure root cause of acne
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • $ 38
  • I recommend using this treatment.

This product is great for us! My 13 year old was prescribed Differin Gel from her dermatologist, her face broke out severely (IB), was swollen, burned and was red. Called dermatologist, he asked to reduce treatment to 3 times a week. Well, my daughter refused to put it on her face again, she was so depressed b/c of the way her face looked. I went out and purchased Clinique Acne Solutions 3 step system for her and honestly, within 3 days, her face was noticeable clearer. Here we are 2 weeks into it and there is a huge difference in her skin. The only thing I would recommed would be to purchase the Cleansing bar instead of the Foam cleaner, due to the soap will last longer. Also, you must use a moisturizer as it does dry out skin. These are small cons to us due to the results she has gotten.

Pros

  • clears up acne

Cons

  • price, but worth it
  • moderately severe
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 50
  • I recommend using this treatment.

i would recommend this for people with normal acne but not for girls like myself. I used it for 3 months and i didn't see any improvements. i thought that because it is sold in the mall and it is expensive it would work wonders but it didn't. =C maybe this product is not meant for severe acne and that is why it didn't work on me!

Pros

  • *smells very nice
  • *face feels soft
  • *good toner
  • * moisturizer is awesome!

Cons

  • *very expensive
  • * didn't help much with acne
  • severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 50
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

It's not an overnight cure but it will work if you stick with the routine. Do not mess with the routine for the first couple of weeks and you will be just fine. I can go out without makeup now and I couldn't before. However I still get break outs

Pros

  • Cleans up your complexion super fast. I literally noticed much smoother skin after just a few washes.

Cons

  • Doesn't completely clear my acne, however it is about 85% better which I'll take because I was about to sell my soul for clearer skin. Oh yeah and it's expensive!
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 50
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I don't write online reviews ever. But I had to make an exception here in the event that I can help someone out, goodness knows I would have appreciated it!

Here's my story, I've battled acne for over 15 years (I'm 30 now). I went through two 5 month doses of Accutane as a teenager which cleared things up for a few years, but once out of college, my acne flared up again and seemed to get worse every year. From age 24 to 30, I tried a number of acne-fighting lines: Pro-Activ which worked for a few months then turned my skin scaly and red, Aveda's Acne line which didn't do much, multiple different prescriptions (oral and topical) from the dermatologist, and then Acne.org. Dan's regimen worked on to an extent, but my already sensitive skin became red and flaky, which would have been manageable, but I still had pimples...so it didn't seem worth it to me.

Looking to change things up once again, I perused lots of reviews online and settled on trying Clinique as a last ditch effort before heading back to the derm and requesting Accutane. And I'm so glad that I did! I use the Clinique regimen in the morning, and the Acne.org face wash and BP at night, and within 3 weeks, my face became 100% clear...I'm seriously amazed. Now that I've been using this regimen for a while, I've added Clinque's "dramatically different moisturizing gel" in the summer, and Clinique's "moisture surge" in the winter. I finally have skin I feel proud of. It's soft and blemish free which is something I haven't been able to say in a long time. And even better, I've been able to slowly add in anti-aging creams without the fear of breaking out. I can't recommend this line enough, and if you try it, I hope it works the same for you!

Pros

  • Cleared up my adult acne!
  • Not as drying on my skin as using the Acne.org regimen twice daily
  • Smells fresh
  • Leaves my skin soft

Cons

  • Slightly drying in winter months, but SO worth it to me
  • The cleanser doesn't seem to clean my skin completely, so I use Acne.org's cleanser instead
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 34
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I used this for about a year, it seemed to work better than my spot treatments, but my acne wouldn't go away. I finally gave in and visited a derm. I wish I had done that sooner. If your acne is mild I can see how this might work, but if you try it for awhile and it's not working, move on asap and see a doctor. They can prescribe you more effective treatments.

Pros

  • available over the counter, price, smell

Cons

  • didn't really work that well
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • $ 30
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I bought this merely out of desperation, but i was really disappointed as i really wanted to like this stuff. The foam in the cleanser doesnt cleanse well since its too light.

The toner is really harsh and drying because of the high alcohol content and really irritates sensitive skin. Even using the moisturizer didnt help. Skin still felt greasy and flaky.

Pros

  • Toner dries out zits well
  • moisturizer feels nice and light on skin.
  • didnt clog pores

Cons

  • waay too drying.
  • The cleanser didnt really clean my face properly -toner is too harsh for sensitive skin due to the high alcohol content.
  • moisturizer doesnt do much
  • PRICEY
  • moderately severe
  • for about a year
  • $ 300
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

It works really well. I've been using it for almost 4 years now, and I have severe acne, the kind that hurts like a beeznatch. At first it sucks, because it brings out ALL the pimples that have been hiding for a while, but after it clears all those up, you're skin is really nice.

Skin is soft, clear and honestly, after 2-3 months, if you ever have to use a heavy concealer and walk out of your house wearing anything but a light powder ladies, it will never work for you. The salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are the only over the counter products that work for me, and the toner has witch hazel, which is mother nature's gift to acne prone skin. It's very soothing and if you stick with it, redness=0.

I'm basing price on buying all three big bottles for each month or a little over, but for the starter kit it's about 45.00 (way too overpriced for little bottles)

Pros

  • If you stick with it, it works
  • Good for lesions, or any type of severe acne
  • If you buy the big bottles, and use properly, you can make the cleanser and toner last for at LEAST a month.

Cons

  • Can be drying, especially the toner (2nd step)
  • Need to use more moisturizer, so you run out of that faster
  • Expensive
  • You have to do A.M and P.M
  • severe
  • for more than a year
  • $ 70
  • I recommend using this treatment.
