| Pros: | doesn't irritate your skin |
| Cons: | doesn't seem to work for those with oily skin |
| Bottom Line: | i have oily type skin. my doctor prescribed this at first and it started to reduce the size of my pimples, but it didn't take care of the redness or anything, and it made my face very oily. bottom line is it did not work for me in the long run, even though it initially did during the first...maybe 2 weeks |

| Pros: | This stuff works. I get it every now and then on my chin and if I have it again on my chin. My doc called it in for me today. I am a believer on this... |
| Bottom Line: | Don't waste your money on the overcounter acne products. Have your doc give you a prescription for this. IT JUST WORKS! |

| Pros: | works incredibly well for minor acne when first starting treatment |
| Cons: | body becomes more tolerant of the antibiotic and stops working |
| Bottom Line: | i used to think clindamycin was a miracle gel. when i felt the beginning stages of a pimple forming, i slathered the stuff on at night and woke up to a clearer face. however, after using the product for more than a year, it has stopped working. my skin probably became resistant to the clindamycin. |

| Pros: | It is great on mild and moderate acne, it cleared my whiteheads for about 2-3 weeks |
| Cons: | if you stop using it for a while, your acne will probably come back. Also you can became immune to it. |
| Bottom Line: | I've been using it for a while for my moderate acne and it worked werry well in clearing them. But you should not use it alone.(it could not help if you use it alone). I used it with minocycline pills(doctor prescription). I didn't saw any side efects( only some redness after applying, but it goes away quickly). It doesn't make the scars better. |

| Pros: | Helps to clear smaller breakouts or regions of the face that are not very stubborn. A good product if you have very mild acne. Also, it doesn't dry out the skin or cause too much redness. |
| Cons: | Not very helpful for major breakouts. If you apply it to a sensitive area, it can cause it to break out, which does always go away with continued use. It (the gel) does somewhat soften marks on your face. |
| Bottom Line: | If you're looking for aggressive treatment for acne, then this is not the product for you. It can help to control acne (as a preventative measure), but it will do little to eliminate active acne. If you are just looking for something to keep your skin under control, then this is probably the perfect product for you. If you are looking for something to really treat your acne, this is not for you. And if you have areas that are very sensitive, don't take this becaue it can cause an initial breakout that will never go away. |

| Pros: | Doesn't irritate skin |
| Cons: | Doesn't really work |
| Bottom Line: | I have been using clindamycin gel for about 6 weeks and have been applying it religiously morning and night. I get moderate acne on my chin only. I am yet to see an improvement, if anything I have been getting more spots. I don't know how long this medication takes to kick in but after 6 weeks am going to switch to skinoren and see if that works any better. |

| Pros: | Have only been using for less than a week and already the extreme redness has cleared up as well as many of the zits that I couldn't stop picking at. face feels smooth for the first time in ages! Also taking minocycline which may be helping as well. |
| Cons: | smells like death. Skin gets a little flaky but nothing a little exfoliating can't take care of. |
| Bottom Line: | I was using the AcneFree Severe Line and had a reaction to it, so my doc said to throw it away and she would give me something for the problem instead. She gave me the clindamycin along with an antibiotic. In less than a week, my face already looks 100x better. Just a few pimples remain. I had horrible HORRIBLE redness on my cheeks and nose and my skintone looks so much better. I will continue to use this as long as my doc recommends it. |

| Pros: | it's ok, no real pros |
| Cons: | no real cons |
| Bottom Line: | i have used a product called duac, which is a gel laced with benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin. i feel that this product is the product i would recommend the last, out of several prescription medicines i have tried. i feel that oral anti-biotics with a strong face wash (like brevoxyl, which is manufactured by the same company) is more effective combination than duac, probably because in the hot southern weather, i dont get a chance to leave duac on my skin for long. it perhaps gets to stay on my skin for 2 -3 hours before i wash my face. so if you live in a cold northern state, it may work for you better than it did for me. all in all, it's ok.
btw, duac should be kept in a cool place like your refrigerator, and should be used within 60days. also coupon is available at [link removed] |

| Pros: | It dosnt cause redness too much and in about two weeks or so i really started to notice a differance |
| Cons: | It made me break out even worse: worse than my face has ever been at least for about a week or two until i started to notice any results |
| Bottom Line: | Its a great product and works in about a month. |
