I never had acne as a teen and really didn't get it til i had my second child a few years ago. I am 29 now and i am just now seeing a big improovement in my skin. Like many, i have tried numerous meds and treatments to be dissappointed in the end. I have also had my face breakout more from some of them. The doctor i see now prescribed Clindets pledgets (the brand name, not generic)for me along with a wash called Triaz6% and brevoxyl 8. I also take a sulfur based antibiotic 2times a day. My skin was real dry in the beginning, but that is what helps acne stay away. Brand names are different from generics, although they can be expensive. My skin is so soft and smooth now as a result. The few dark marks i had are also going away just from the exfoliation the products cause. If you have tried clindamycin and had no luck, please invest in clindets pledgets.

I've been on Differin lotion (nights), Clindamycin lotion (mornings), and Tetracycline (oral) for about a year and a half. I was on Accutane about 8 years ago and use this trio for minor acne that has returned. They all work well together provided you don't skip a day. I've found out that applying Differin and Clindamycin over abrasions or recent acne marks makes them much worse. By doing so I would have red spots on my face that could not be covered up for weeks. I found out that by skipping Differin and Clindamycin on those areas for several days makes my spots heal much faster. The dermatologist never told me I have red marks for so long due to the application of these meds! One downfall about the use of these three medications at the same time is that my skin is VERY sensitive.

ive been using clindamycin for a month or so now and ive really noticed an improvement. my acne isnt gone by any means but i find the pimples are less severe and disappear quicker. however i would only reccomend this to people whose acne isnt too severe cause it really isnt very strong.

Clindamycin Phosphate is NOT a very effective product to treat acne. I've been using it for over a month now and my acne has worsened. I am quite disappointed with the product and would not recommend it to anyone!

I used the lotion for about two weeks and noticed absolutely no positive differnece in my skin. This lotion actually made me breakout in tiny bumps all over my chin and forehead and caused my usually dry skin to become extremely oily. I would not recommend the lotion, especially for those who already have oily skin. If your derm or doctor prescribes you the lotion, I would ask for the topical solution, foam or any other form that is offered instead.

I've been using clindamycin phosphate lotion for about 3 weeks and it's done nothing but make my acne worse and make my face really oily. It's one of those products that makes your acne worse before it get's better, but i'm not willing to have severly worse acne for 5 months before it starts to take effect in the sixth month.

I've gone off and on this antibiotic (taken orally) and another for years, switching as they lost effectiveness. It helped moderately, not not enough and now it's lost all effectiveness for me.
