Pros Doesn't dry out the face, works reasonably well.
Cons leaves an "oily sheen" to face(tackyness, as others have observed), takes a while to work, can promote redness.
Bottom line I've used this for over a year now. It's helped alot with not drying my face out which seemed to lead to huge breakouts, but has never cleared my skin completely. Also the effectiveness seems to have decreased over the past few months.
Despite not being 100% effective, my face isn't as bad as it used to be and while I wouldn't swear by it I'm not throwing it out in a hurry.
I say try it for two months minimum before coming to your own conclusion as it takes roughly a month before it takes full effect.

Pros my skin got better from the very first time i used it. tried differin afterwards and skin got bad, went back to clyndamycin and skin is okay again.
Cons still get pimples when working out.
Bottom line try as many different products as you can handle, then stick with the one that works the best. there will probably not a product that will rid all your pimples BUT get the one that helps the most.

Pros Kills bacteria deep into pores. Clears up large pimples. Doesn't aggrevate skin too much.
Cons Takes a while to see visible improvement. Skin eventually becomes immune and med stops effecting it. Very tacky feel after application.
Bottom line DO NOT use this every day. If you do your skin will eventually not be effected by med. Use it once every 2-3 days AT NIGHT. Clind. has a tendency to make your face appear red and oily and that sucks during the day. I would recommend this because even mild acne requires an antibiotic such as this as an aid in killing bacteria.

Pros cheap
Cons doesn't work, adverse effects, tacky feel
Bottom line I was originally really happy for getting this Rx for such a low price, but immediately found out why it wasn't more expensive. This stuff seriously doesn't work. It builds a layer of film on the skin and so I could only use it at night. My skin felt really oily in the morning, while the acne doesn't subside at all. It might have showed a slight improvement at the end of the first month, which made me hopeful. But after 3 months I've decided that my skin is worse than when I started this product.

I love this solution! I have a tendancy to get those deep, painful pimples that lay underneath the skin on my chin. My dermatologist prescribed Clindamycin for me and I have not had a recurrence. Plus, if I feel one coming on (even acne on other parts of my face), I apply the solution and the next day is it gone. I highly recommend this medicine. I must note, however, that my skin never had irritation problems, so I apply it twice a day.

I had mild acne on my face and bad acne on my back due to PCOS. I was prescribed Clindamycin and Differin and was instructed to use one in the morning and one in the evening. Within a week my cystic acne went away but I was left with horrible red peeling skin. I continued to just use the differin in the evenings until that went away, and I started using the clindamycin again. Now, 2 months later my skin has completely healed. I no longer have bacne or pimples on my face. I have a few scars on my back but my face is glowing!

I have been on Clindamycin for about a month now, I swear it has made my skin worse. I am oily, I cant remember ever really having oily skin before. I am trying to decide whether to stick it out or try something else. I am getting new whiteheads every day it seems like. Reading everyones conflicting ratings is making me waver even more. What should I do?
