Pros The first week:
-zits were dying
-my face was getting better
Cons then after 3 weeks my face became:
-oily
-having some breakouts
Bottom line so like I don't know if I should continue using it 'cause maybe It'll get worse at first but it will get better by the time. So I'm not quite sure though, I'll give it another chance like 2 weeks? but if it doesn't work. I think I'll just stop using it.

It's up to you if you'll try this.

*I'm using it twice a day. One in the morning and night.

Pros - was clearing up larger spots on back and fading smaller spots
Cons - induced severe diarrhea and some vomiting even with only prescribed dosage used (thin layer applied once per day)
Bottom line I'm 15, had this prescribed by dermatologist (dalacin-t liquid solution) and used this product for 4 days and was seeing a pleasant improvement in my back acne. This morning I woke up with severe diarrhea and I vomited twice - induced by clindamycin.

I guess it works for some people but be careful because the side effects aren't fun and I have to discontinue use of this product after only 4 days after spending 35$ on it :( Plus I feel like crap and it has ruined my long weekend in addition to the fact that I can't contact my doctor for 2 days due to the holiday. fml

Pros - None
Cons - Made acne slightly worse
- Made my face itch after applying
Bottom line My doctor prescribed this to me before going to pill form antibiotics. Unfortunately, this didn't make my acne go away. I tried it alone, and tried it while using Benzoyl Peroxide, which is supposed to make it more effective. I'd say it increased my mild acne to moderate acne.

Pros -Reduced acne by 85-90%
-Easy to apply
-No so drying if the cream is used
-Helped fade acne scars a bit faster
Cons -Extremely flaky skin for the first few weeks
-I found it became less effective over time
-I only gave t 4 because it didn't make me 100% clear
Bottom line I think Differin is a very good acne product and is good for people with sensitive skin because it is much milder than retin-a or and other retinoid. I started of with using Differin cream so that it wouldn't dry out my skin so much and then after 2 months went to the gel which was much easier to use and prefer over the cream. I highly recommend Differin to people with moderate acne as it can really make you about 90% clear and will change a spots healing time from like a week or more to just a few days.

But make sure you use a very good moisturizer with this because you can get very flaky skin. I would recommend applying a moisturizer like Cetaphil lotion like 30 mins after you apply Differin and this is what my derm suggested

Pros Clears Acne Fast (starts working within a week)
Not very drying at all
Can wear under makeup
Worked on my cystic acne (contrary to the belief of my derm)
Cons Smells strong like Alcohol (the liquid form)
Bottom line I am 23 and have always had mild to moderate acne (sometimes worse than others) but it was never a huge issue and I thought I would "grow out of it". Somewhere about a year ago I started breaking out with cystic acne on my chin. It was like one huge painful bump would form and linger for weeks and then once it finally started going down two more would appear...so I was fed up. I saw a dermatologist and asked to try clindamycin before trying any of the pills. I have the liquid type that you dab all over your face and use it once in the morning and once at night. Within a week I saw results! My face is not perfect and still breaks out every now and then, BUT I haven't had one cyst form on my chin since beginning use. It smells terrible when applying, but dries quickly and at most I need to dab a tiny bit of moisturizer on my cheeks if they start to dry out. I wash my face with a Cetaphil antibacterial soap bar before application and can apply makeup after the clindamycin has dried. This product is WONDERFUL!
