| Pros | Clears active acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | Drying to skin, can irritate skin if skin gets too dry, if used with a moisturizer, can be rendered ineffective |
| Bottom line | I do use this when I do not want acne to flare up, especially after a microdermabrasion session. Also, if you do not have acne caused by hormones or cystic/nodular acne, that is, if you have acne caused by dirt, being a teenager or just a weird flare up, this is the topical for you! |

| Pros | shrinks red bumps clears acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | it loses its effectiveness. |
| Bottom line | I've used this for about 5 months. At first it worked great and cleared most of my acne so I stopped using it it when it ran out. Then when I broke out again, clindamycin did nothing for my skin. I've been using it for about a month every morning and it doesn't seem to work. I've been breaking out more actually. But I still think it's worth a try. It seemed to clear up my acne at first. |

| Pros | works fast, makes my skin feel clean, gets rid of small pimples and reduces the size of the bigger pimples. |
|---|---|
| Cons | strong smell, makes skin dry( i strongly suggest using a moisturizer!), sometimes irritates my (sensitive) skin. |
| Bottom line | works very well but makes my skin very dry and sometimes irritated so i only use it every other night instead of every day and night. since it makes my skin REALLY dry i use extra moisturizer on the nights that i dont use it. |

| Pros | not expensive at all, no initial breakout, great for people with oily skin, larger pimples have yet to reappear, noticeably clearer skin within the first week, very easy to use since I purchased the liquid kind that you dab onto your skin (with a little roller thing that came with it) after washing it twice a day. |
|---|---|
| Cons | dries out my face but that can be easily fixed with a moisturizer, strong alcohol smell, burns sometimes when I put it on more sensitive areas like my cheeks so I avoid those spots |
| Bottom line | I've been using it for about 4 weeks now and I haven't gotten the very large painful pimples I usually get but some small ones have appeared. I'm excited to see how my face looks in weeks to come, I have already received many compliments on how clear my skin has gotten. I also like how clean my skin feels after using it. And by the way I use it after washing my face with a mild soap such as a Neutrogena bar and moisturize with Olay daily moisturizer with SPF when needed. |

| Pros | Clear skin, less blackheads, no dryness or irritation, no initial breakout. |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | I've had moderate acne for years and this is the only product that has ever consistently worked for me. I used to wake up everyday with a new pimple. I cannot remember the last time I brokeout after using this. No initial breakout for me...no dryness, no irritation. I cannot recommend this stuff enough. |

| Pros | 1. Large tube 2. Clears pimples in about a weeks time. 3. Doesnt sting for me. 4. Not much of a smell. 5. Doesn't stain like B.P. |
|---|---|
| Cons | 1. Possible bacteria resistance can occur. 2. Can be drying - will make skin flake |
| Bottom line | I believe I have hormonal acne. 28 y.o. male. I use this as a spot treatment only - as ordered by my doctor. Do not apply everywhere. I apply it after my shower which consists of a shave and face wash with Cetaphil Genle Skin Cleanser at night time. Just apply a thin film over the affected area. I rub it in with a q-tip (personal preference). Its been working great for the past week as I have been avoiding processed sugars and also taking a multivitamin with said routine. $5 with insurance. |

| Pros | not drying |
|---|---|
| Cons | caused hundreds of pimples and made my face drip with oil. |
| Bottom line | Used for 2 months and the Dr. just gave me ediduo to use with it, used them together for 4 weeks, skin in really dry and when I use ediduo it makes my skin super oily but tons of dry skin still with all my new pimples! I'm done with Clindamycin for sure! |

| Pros | produces results very quickly. skin was nitocable clearer within the first few weeks. |
|---|---|
| Cons | stings a little |
| Bottom line | i was prescribed this by my doctor. No, it does not clear out blakheads and unclog pore, but my doctoradvised me to use a face wash containing 2.0% salicylic acid. A useful tip that she gave me is to wet face and put on the face wash but leave it on for about 5 minutes to give it time to kick ing. After washing and drying gently, then use the clindamycin. This method helps to unclog the pores the allows for the medication to work better. The medication was aroun 10 dollars plus another 7 for the face wash. but its completely worth it! |

| Pros | Gives skin nice glow Helps control breakouts Easy to use Smooth texture |
|---|---|
| Cons | Makes face a little sticky Be careful not to squeeze to much out. |
| Bottom line | I am using Clindamycin along with Retin A. I feel like it really helped control the initial breakout with Retin A. Gives my skin a really nice glow. The only gripe I have is it tends to make skin sticky feeling-but maybe that's due to applying a bit too much. |
