| Pros | Clears up most acne fast (about a week), prevents breakouts, doesn't dry or damage skin. Very cheap. |
|---|---|
| Cons | only helps inflammatory acne. my pores are still clogged. (maybe this will change in time) strong smell, fumes burn your eyes. |
| Bottom line | Very good for those struggling with inflammatory acne, fast, effective and cheap. It's worth the cash and the trip to the dermatologist. |

| Pros | It has really helped get rids of all the little bumps on my forehead, and the big pimples that I get seem to shrink. I use this product with a 10% Benzac gel, also. It has also seemed to help reduce redness during the day. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It really has a strong smell, and can be a bit irritating for the first few days. But after that you get used to the smell and it doesn't irritate much. It is also a little drying if you don't moisturize. |
| Bottom line | It works alright so far, but I'm not really sure if it is the Clindamycin or the Benzac that is reducing the acne. It makes my skin feel good and clean! |

|---|---|
| Cons | Strong smell (alcohol) and it gives you dry skin. |

| Pros | After three months of use, I have virtually no whiteheads or pustules. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dries skin like crazy. |
| Bottom line | So far so good. I am using this in conjunction with an oral antibiotic (minocyclin) and cream (retin-a). While the whiteheads and pustules have virtually disappeared, I still have cysts that form every month or two and those require injections. All of these medications are available as generic, so monthly costs are low. My skin isn't perfect, but it's so much better than it's ever been. My skin tends to dry out on it's own in winter - so we shall see how this season treats it with the combination of medication and nature. I may have to invest in a stronger moisturizer. |

| Pros | Clears some acne. |
|---|---|
| Cons | it is a tier 3 drug on my insurance plan. Tier 3 drugs have a $50 co-pay. |
| Bottom line | I have been using it for about a month. We will see how well it works in the long run. |

| Pros | it cleared up most of my acne. |
|---|---|
| Cons | it dried out my face to the point of peeling. it made me extremely sensitive to the sun. my skin was constantly tight and dry. |
| Bottom line | this will clear up most acne, but the price you pay is not worth it. it made my skin so dry that i was constantly peeling, like a sunburn. it was painful and tight. i became extremely sensitive to sunlight. it also smells pretty bad. |

| Pros | I no longer wake up wondering how many new pimples I have! It worked relatively quickly. I began using it in the AM and Retin A at night, but the Retin-A dried my skin out horribly (pealing, redness, etc.). I now use it before bed (the solution). |
|---|---|
| Cons | Somewhat strong smell - I would also recommend that if you have sensitive skin to use only once a day (and not with other acne meds). |
| Bottom line | Great! Highly recommend and wish I had known about this YEARS ago!!! |

| Pros | Worked well Worked quickly |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stopped working abruptly |
| Bottom line | I started using clindamycin about ten months ago. My face was breaking out horribly mostly with whiteheads. After a few days my face started clearing. After about a week my face was almost completely clear! I used this everyday, twice a day and my face was clear for almost the whole summer. Now unfortunately it isn't working anymore. My face is starting to break out again because I think it built up resistance to the antibiotics. If you have any type of acne I would at least give this an initial try and it will probably work for awhile, but it's not forever. |
