I've tried everything in the world including this Clear Light treatment. It is a waste of time and money. I do not recommend it at all. Do not waste your money like we all do.

I used Proactiv for 5 years and did not have one pimple to speak of. One day I woke up and Proactiv completely stopped working for me. I developed very bad acne all over my cheeks and my doctor told me to try clearlight. It did nothing but cost me hundreds of dollars and more agony. Don't waste your time with this, everyone.

I have never had an acne problem, but my daughter's acne was taking over her face & body and she was miserable. Her self esteem was hitting rock bottom & she was constantly hiding under her hood (jacket). She cry that she was "a monster" & not want to go out. As a mother, this broke my heart & I was desperate to find something that would helt her. She had tried every acne treatment including prescription drugs & Proactive. All of them had side effects or would work just temporairly. The initial treatments of clear light made her look horrible, but by the 8th. treatment I saw a difference. Then her skin cleared up completely! I couldn't believe the beautiful face that emerged! I recommend it to everyone. Just be patient because it really works, not just externally, but internally too as her self-esteem has so improved!! She has to go in for "tune-ups" approximately every 2 months, but that's nothing to her now. It is totally worth it!!

I am not sure if everyone is talking about the same treatment. Some of you are describing the ClearLight Machine while some are about the Blu-U, and even at least one is describing Acne IPL. Note the price differences. All light only therapy is really only fitting for mild acne. There is no single magical cure or treatment out there for acne. FYI: In Canada the average price for Blu-U is only about $40 US per treatment. Sounds like a lot of people went to many physicians with $ in mind only. No treatment should be peddled nor glorified. Good luck everyone. .....Just passing by.....Acne Doc.

I was getting 2 or 3 pimples every other day, and it was leaving red scars that were not that deep on my cheeks, around my mouth and close to my hairline, I had 5 sessions of BLUE LIGHT done (they call them photofacials too), once every two weeks and after the third one I would say I was breaking out once a week maybe less, before I went for the treatments I had huge cystic ones on my chin , and after the 4th photofacial those were gone, as well as the redness on my chin, my face improved A LOT but it didn't last very long, after about 3 months I started getting them all over my face and chin. They said that the blue light also works for scars, but in my case it made them more noticeable, also make sure you go to an experienced doctor, because one of the girls that did one of the treatments went too many times over my hair line and burnt my hair and skin, now I have this thin lines in that area. by the way the ONLY thing that has made a permanent difference in my acne, (I don't care what anyone says) has been drastic changes I made to my diet along with many supplements that I have been taking, this has improved my face and the way I feel like anything else I have tried.

Spent over a thousand dollars to do 8 treatments plus follow up of 4 more. Cleared up beautifully after 8 but a few months later broke out worse than ever, and the second treatments wouldn't touch it, and now I am worse off than ever. I am wondering if the lights are a long-term treatment; obviously they weren't for me.

I have had really bad acne all my life, I am now 32. Tried every single drug possible - from all antibotics to all topical solutions. Even went on accutane for an extended period of time at a high dosage. Clear light after 12 sessions, I am totally clear and I have been for 2 years. Extremely expensive though.

I had mild to moderate breakouts and it has helped to completely control them. Now I hardly ever breakout, but I do go for a touch up every couple months. I think it's the best thing since I tried everything else and saw few results which worked this quickly. $90 / session is worth it for clear skin.

my daughter went for the 8 treatments & the results were truly impressive. she went back to college as a different person! she couldn't be happier. the dr. also recommended a regimen of vitamins & wild salmon oil at the same time, so who knows which is working more & how long the clearlight will last..but you know what...i would pay just about anything for these fantastic results, & when it's time for her to go again........no problem!
