Thanks for all your posts. I have tried everything for acne and have found nothing that works. I have not tried any kind of light therapy. I did however try accutane about 6 years ago and I regret ever having used that poison. Acne made me sad but the accutane made me suicidal. My eyes have never recovered from that medication. They get extremely dry even 6 years later. Please do not take accutane. good luck to all of you.

I tried it...I then realized you can get the same effects at home with the little at home teeth whitener blue light...its called "white light" like 20 dollars at longs...same thing!

I have had 4 sessions of clear light and have scheduled 4 more. DON'T DO IT. My derm. didn't tell me the side effects until I got there for my first "treatment". They made me sign a waiver form saying that "explosive acne and scarring" was a risk factor. Along with several other things. These two just caught my eye. When I asked about it she said "Oh...well...everybody is different." I couldn't believe it. But I just went through with it and before I just had a little tiny bit of a breakout. Now I have full fledged acne. It is HORRIBLE.

I was begining to get my acne under control and I thought that this would be the nail on the coffin. I WAS WRONG. It made my face worse...much worse. I looked at this web site and hoped that I would be one the few that benefitted from this procedure. I was not. If you are looking through these reviews please do not try this treatment, it is not worth the money and has the potential to make your face worse.

Had 4 treatments of clearlight for my adult acne and ended up with deep holes in my skin where the areas were treated. Has anyone else had this problem as the doctor said he,d never seen this happen before

If you go to a good dermatolagist they should tell you that this treatment, as with any other acne treatment, will not work on everybody. The varying success rate is about 60-40, with 40% having no improvements on their acne. I don't know about the light making acne worse and that could be due to an outside factor but the light does not aggravate acne.

I went to Dr. Bruce Russell in Beaverton for 14 treatments with Clearlight; and it made my skin worse. In my opinion, it is one of the biggest scams in cosmetic industry, particularly if you have adult acne.

I went to Dr. Lisa Kellet at Spa Medica in Toronto who told me that she had used Clear Light on thousands of patients and it had worked on most of them. Well, it certainly did not work for me. I had very mild acne before the treatments and after the final treatment I had a serious acne problem that required me to go on acutane. Worst of all is that the Clear Light did something to alter the colour of my skin...it's now orange. I also thought the Clear Light aged my skin. I do not recommend the treatment and I think that Dr. Kellet was negligent in using the machine in her office.
