Pros: Works really well on acne Cons: Smells, discolors/bleaches clothing Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I have used it for years, and have always had to replace damaged clothing. Although the warning is on the label, it's just not worth it in the long run. It's funny how there is no rating option for recommending this product. I'm done with it. Pros: works well on all types of acne, keeps my skin smooth and helps prevent new acne Cons: slightly pungent smell Bottom Line: I've spent a good 15 years on what seemed like a never-ending quest for clear skin. I've tried everything out there sparing no expense whatsoever (ie. MD prescribed topical/oral antibiotics, over-the-counter treatments, and even accutane!). Since my skin gets irritated by salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide has absolutely no effect on my adult acne, I recently bought this Clearasil adult acne cream as a last ditch effort. I found that using the cream (right after a good 3 minute lather with Noxzema Triple Clean Anti-Bacterial Cleanser) gives me heaven-sent results!! For the first time in years, the little bumps on my face are disappearing! Pros: Started to work immediately, have been using the product for about two weeks and i can see a huge difference. Cons: The smell, dry skin.. but it doesn't matter because i only apply the product at bedtime. Bottom Line: The product seem to work.. and it's also affordable i bought mine @ Walmart. Pros: This is the only product that works well for me. Salycilic Acid and Benzoil Peroxide do absolutely nothing! Cons: I have a hard time finding it in my area. The tint is a little dark but I put it on about 5 minutes before applying moisturizer and that smooths out the tint. Bottom Line: Prefer this to anything else. Pros: This product works really well but you have to let your skin get used to it as it is VERY drying the first couple of days. I've sworn by this spot treatment for years now but need something a little stronger when I get large, swollen acne. Cons: A little drying and doesn't work as well on large pimples. (Although it creates a matte effect which makes it look less conspicuous) Bottom Line: The best value for your money! The large tube costs only about $5.00 and it lasts for ages! I use it 2x daily each time I wash my face even if I don't have acne because it keeps it pretty clear. (and matte) I should also mention I have combination skin that sporadically breaks out in the chin and nose area. yuck! Pros: It works; especially on blackheads or noninflamed acne, but also on pustules, etc. Cons: not really a con but, don't use it if you go out. The tint isnt meant so its like makeup or something. Wear it overnight. Bottom Line: It's the only product I consistently return to after using other stuff because it always works. Also, doesn't contain harmful ingredients like BP that cause wrinkles. Pros: didnt notice any Cons: smells awfull, drys skin, causes breakouts Bottom Line: this product is tinted a lil to dark, it smell is nasty, it dries skin badly and i used it for a week had to stop because it caused more breakouts and it dried up my skin badly. Pros: none Cons: it is waaay too dark and makes you look like u had a bad tan and i used it twice and it made me itchy and now my whole face is swollen and pink i cant even open my eyes all the way it also dried up my skin a lot!! its so embarraasing Bottom Line: its HORIBLE i HATE it! Pros: Works well, even on cystic acne and boils Cons: I never noticed any odor or fragrance. something is wrong with your noses. Bottom Line: Works well on adult acne, especially if you have grown frustrated with benzoyl peroxide remedies that burn when applied, and salicylates that make your face peel like an onion.
