i have been using the clarisonic for close to a year on and off. I notice when i use it my skin has a glow to it and is much smoother it also helps fade some red marks i guess from exfoilation and increased product absorbtion. I still have some blackheads and those tiny clogged pore bumps but nowhere near before.

Pros

  • + Cleans very well
  • + Gets some dead skin off
  • + Smoother skin

Cons

  • + Acne isnt improved
  • + Price
  • moderate
  • for about a year
  • $ 160
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I have always suffered from acne and dry skin patches around my cheeks and chin. The 1st 1-2 months I used the clarisonic I continued to breakout, I think this was because everything deep down was being brought to the surface. I have now used the clarisonic for 4months and my skin looks GREAT! No dryness, breakouts every now and again thank you hormones:)

It also depends on your cleanser I use Effaclar gel along with Clinique lotion and bareminerals makeup. Careful with all the acne cleansers sometimes it can be too much for your skin and cause you to breakout even more.

Pros

  • Awesome!! My face has never felt cleaner!!

Cons

  • The only con I think the clarisonic has is it's price, very expensive but worth every penny.
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 175
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I plan on giving it a full week, but just after using it one week, my skin is more broken out than it's ever been; which of course, is very upsetting!

Pros

  • feels like you get a good deep clean
  • easy to use

Cons

  • I am breaking out like I did when I was in HS and I'm almost 30!
  • moderate
  • for about a week
  • $ 225
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

BE CAREFUL using this if you have sensitive skin like me. You have a disturbed skin barrier and any irritation like this brush (even though it claims to be gentle) is bad for you. I wanted to write this review to say regular, gentle cleansing is enough you don't need the brush pulling your skin. Because of the Clarisonic I have to go to the Dermatologist

Pros

  • Deep Cleaning, waterproof

Cons

  • I have sensitive, light skin. The Clarisonic made me break out TERRIBLY for over a month, I guess my skin was purging but it was really bad. I have to go see a dermatologist as I have painful acne lesions from the Clarisonic irritating my skin.
  • moderate
  • for about a month
  • $ 195
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

If you have the money to purchase this item, buy it, especially if your already using a cleanser manualy. Totally worth it. I've always been using Cerave cleanser and Epiduo which was working well for me but as soon as I started using this two weeks ago I have only got one or two breakouts. You can purchase different brush heads and it has speed setting for people with sensitive to rough skin. Also if you get a Plus or Pro model you can attach a special head to use on your skin. I bought a pro model off of ebay for a reasonable 150$'s.

Pros

  • Makes your skin feel awesome
  • Easy to use
  • If your using a topical acne cream like Epiduo, BP, Differin, ect. It will help it absorb better.

Cons

  • Not cheap
  • Cleansers it comes with are not that great (I recommend using Cerave hydrating cleanser)
  • light
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 150
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Not worth it. I never saw a silver lining--just kept breaking out!

Pros

  • Quality machine, well-made, smooths face in parts that aren't breaking out!

Cons

  • Caused my skin to break out like I was 15 for a month continuously.
  • moderate
  • for about a month
  • $ 225
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I've had acne for years and have tired everything. My skin looked better after about two weeks of using Clarisonic, and is almost completely clear after two months. I use it twice a day with a BP cleanser and I use Tazorac at night. I'm amazed at the results. I only regret that I didn't buy one of these as soon as it came out.

Pros

  • Cleared up skin, shrunk pores, squeeky clean

Cons

  • Does not hold charge for long
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 200
  • I recommend using this treatment.

This is one of the best products I have found for my skin. It makes my skin very smooth and has helped reduce some of the scarring I have had from previous acne.

Pros

  • Makes my skin feel really clean and smooth.

Cons

  • The initial price. But I have found it is worth it!
  • light
  • for about a month
  • $ 200

I love my Clarisonic. I purchased it from Amazon ([link removed]>

HEED THE INSTRUCTIONS and gradually introduce the Clarisonic into your routine. I started on the lowest setting, but opted to use it once a day since I manually/physically exfoliate my face on a daily basis (exfoliation gloves) and felt that drying would not be an issue for me. After 2 days my boyfriend pressed the buttons and messed up the settings so I am now using it on a higher setting, but there are no problems so I'm keeping it on that setting. I use it 1-2x a day. Smaller pores and improved texture (i.e.: old acne scars, sun damage), generally brighter complexion, I assume from the improved penetration of my 2.5% BP facial wash. It is not an overnight miracle worker, but like I said, I was able to jump into a pretty vigorous routine right off the bat. I also like the spot therapy on my neck and elbows.

So impressed with my Clarisonic, that I went out and bought a Sonicare toothbrus

Pros

  • Waterproof
  • Solid construction
  • Works as advertised

Cons

  • Expensive (initial investment)
  • moderate
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 189.33
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I have only tried this twice so far, but already my pores look smaller and my skin feels cleaner.

I have thick oil skin, so I really went hard when using it to get in deep after decades of having clogged enlarged pores and scars.

I used it with cetaphil face wash. After rinsing the soap off, I applied a topical vitamin C serum that I got from Puritan's pride.

I think the mistake some people are doing is using the brush while it is still semi wet from previous use -- if so -- bacteria can grow on it. Bacteria will die when the brush head is dry. Also, people need to wash the brush head after using it so that the dead skin cells and bacteria don't stay on it. That's why I recommend using this once a day or getting two brushes.

Pros

  • My skin feels cleaner and my pores look smaller

Cons

  • I worry about keeping brush sanitary. A bit expensive. I got mine on amazon.
  • light
  • for a day or two
  • $ 190
