please...if you have acne try finacia cream and retin-a-micro. Use one during the day and one at night. Not ony does this produce the best peeling but gets fully rid of your acne. My dermatoligist insisted on tazorac, minocycline, doxy, metrogel...ect. I asked to go on these and he was amazed at the results. I have had acne for 15 years and its the only thing that got rid of it...for 6 months now and no initial breakout. I should also mention I had cystic acne along with typical acne. Also, use glycolic acid for the peels if you are going to buy any offline...they are the only ones that are affordable and very very effective.

I had the obagi blue peel (two layers)done ten days ago. I feel that the fine lines around my eyes have softened somewhat. I honestly cannot say whether it reduced the pigmentation because it was already pretty much faded after having prepped my skin six weeks prior to the peel with the Obagi Nu Derm system. Overall my skin looks a little better but definently not dramatically better. If you don't mind spending $700 Canadian for a mild improvement then it is worth it. Otherwise I would suggest saving a few more hundred dollars and opting for a package of laser treaments such as the IPL.

I did the 25% tca chemical peel on my face, it's been 6 weeks. My face looks bad. One cheek has pink in the middle, with brown spots on the edges. The other cheek looks
pink, but the skin looks bubbly not smooth and flat like I expected. How dissapointing. I look worse than before i did
the peel.I have to spend more money at the dermatologist to fix this if it doesn't improve. Use with caution, after all
it is a chemical. The best to all who have used this peel with good results.

i have tryed glycolic peel 70% homekit i dint have deep scars they were mild somewhat like small holes (pothead) i just applyed it 3times on my face and waited for 5 mins exactly and washed it and after 7 days it kinda got light and i used it for few months now i dont got scars left only 2 or 3 but they r not that visibel they will be going soon if i keep using glycolic peel after every 15 days and i have sencetive skin which gets really red when i put on the peel and the redness wont go for few hours soo after the peel its better to put on cold compression ( wet the towel in ice cold water and put it in the face) it works for me .

I had a Obagi Blue Peel on Monday (today is Friday). I am anxious to see the final results but my skin is so red and feels irritated and tight right now. Can anyone tell me their experiences with it?

I had a jessner peel yesterday so won't start peeling for a day or so. The one consistant thing I'm reading from everyone on here rating peels is that too many of you are doing at home peel kits. I would suggest you have a professional do it as there is a reason they went to scholls to learn such procedures. I just feel as though it could be either dangerous of fruitless to perform one of these peels on yourself at home. The woman who applied my peel explained to me that as each layer is applied and then dries she looks for certain changes in the skin and depending on how your skin is reacting to the peel she will apply another layer. In all I had six layers put on my skin. As they say 'practice makes perfect' and I would suggest that the right professional has had plenty of that. Please please please consider what it is you are doing to your skin at home without supervision and go to a professional.

This section should be separated into various different kinds of chemical peels out there. I have noticed most people complained about the Obalgi Blue Peel the most as being expensive and ineffective. Even we do not perform this procedure in the clinic (not as effective as others we found, btw blue is a gimick), it is likely that a lot of these are performed by inexperienced chemical peel physicians. Please notice that some of you had great experiences with certain peels at the lower cost range. These are probably done by experienced and ethical physicians. For most, the peel cost should be between $100-200 range and should give very significant results.

I had the obagi blue peel for 2 minor hyperpigmentations of sundamage. Well, the peel resulted in creating a completely wrinkled face. I am 32 years old but after the peel and recovery I look like I am at least 52. Everybody tells me that cannot believe what it did to my skin. I get tired of being told what a fool I was or people asking me why I did it. Obviously, I never knew the results could be so bad. Every website I went on assured me that it was harmless so I went ahead and did it. Now, I have met others with the same result as I have had. Looking in the mirror is a nightmare now because I feel so ugly and to think I spent $1000 to age 30 plus years. The wrinkes are everywhere and very, very deep. Please, please, please do not waste many on the Obagi blue peel. I don't want you to regret it and be forever scarred because of it like I am!
