| Pros: | This product always leaves your face feeling soft and clean. |
| Cons: | does not get rid of acne and or other blemishes to the skin. Does not remove make up and stubborn dirt well or even at all. |
| Bottom Line: | I liked the way it made my skin feel, soft, moisturized, and refreshed but it almost made my acne worse so i switched to this stuff called basics its great. |

| Pros: | Clear gel; pump bottle with lock for travel. |
| Cons: | Not good to remove makeup. I use HSN's Signature Club A Meltdown for that. It's the best. |
| Bottom Line: | Reccommended by my dermatolgist for after laser and every day for rosacea. |

| Pros: | Cetaphil did make my face feel clean. Also, it was easily attainable. |
| Cons: | It did not help with my blemishes in fact, even made me wonder if it was making them worse. My skin still stayed extremely oily. |
| Bottom Line: | Cetaphil is for those people who already have great skin and if that were the case with me I wouldn't even be on this site. Right? |

| Pros: | Very gental, helped clear my skin in a matter of a week or so. Large containers can be found at almost any drug/retail store including Costco and it's inexpensive. |
| Cons: | none |
| Bottom Line: | After using Proactive for years, I switched to Cetaphil. After about 2 weeks of use, I threw out my Proactive. I have used Cetaphil for over a year. It has saved me hundreds of dollars and my skin has never been better. |

| Pros: | very gentle, unscented |
| Cons: | does not remove makeup |
| Bottom Line: | For women who wear foundation, Cetaphil is great for the morning wash in the shower. In the evening, you need another product to remove foundation and/or eye makeup. |

| Pros: | Gentle, non-irritating, effective, leaves skin feeling clean and soft, not tight and dried out. Good for post-acne sufferers and those with sensitive skin. Smells very clean and fresh. |
| Cons: | Can help with, but does not eliminate acne lesions. Expensive. |
| Bottom Line: | It's undeniably the best facial cleaner for people AFTER your major problems with acne have been solved. I found that many other facial cleaners were too harsh after my acne was gone, and actually made it just come back. This product will reduce minor acne, and makes your skin feel awesome, with no irritation or dryness. However, if you suffer from a sudden breakout of more severe acne, it will not be as effective. It is pricey, but worth it. |

| Pros: | very gentle, no fragrance, affordable |
| Cons: | not good for acne prone skin and/or oily skin |
| Bottom Line: | I used Cetaphil cleanser for about 5 months before realizing that it was actually clogging my pores, making my skin oilier and not cleaning my skin well enough (and I don't even wear foundation!). However, my husband whose skin is perfect and who is on the drier side loves this stuff. It was just too heavy for me. After that, I tried Neutrogena Fresh foam face wash and that was too drying. Finally I switched to Purpose gentle face wash which works very well for me. It gives my skin its perfect balance. I checked "no" in the "recommended" area simply because most people visiting this site is acne prone and on the oily side and would probably not benefit from Cetaphil. However, it is a great product if you are lucky and blessed with good skin. Also do not forget to wear a high quality suncreen everyday year round as most of the skin problems are kinked to sun exposure. |

| Pros: | The smell isn't bad. |
| Cons: | The ingredient list scares me. Expensive for what it is. |
| Bottom Line: | I was pestered into trying this product. It did not work (even slightly) for my skin type. Kind of expensive too, for what it is.
Also, the ingredient list scares me. Years after trying Cetaphil, I am using a different product that has natural ingredients and it works for my skin.
I have a friend that swears this product works for her, but she also has very decent skin in the first place! |
