| Pros: | Very gentle, great as a basic cleanser |
| Cons: | None |
| Bottom Line: | I've been using this product for a decade, since I first had minor breakouts as a teenager. Back then, I tried products by brands such as Neutrogena and Dermalogica, and Cetaphil kicked all their asses. I'm still using it, and my skin is doing great.
I've had problems getting some people to use the product because they *think* it doesn't feel clean, but that's precisely why it's effective! When skin gets that "squeaky-clean" feel, it's already stripped, which can irritate skin even more.
Some people also don't like Cetaphil because it does not foam and has no fragrance -- but again, that's why it works. Foaming agents and fragrance can dry and irritate skin.
Lastly, please, no complaints about how it does not remove make-up. Cetaphil was never intended as a make-up remover, especially since a lot of make-up now is made to be tough to remove. Use make-up remover if you use make-up!
I really want people to try this because it's worked so well for me! :) |

| Pros: | Cheap, convenient container, available everywhere, doesn't dry out skin too much |
| Cons: | If your skin is really oily it won't take all the oil away, although package says its meant for normal to oily skin its more for normal skin I find. |
| Bottom Line: | This product didn't work that great for me. My skin is very oily so when i used cetaphil it took away most of the oil, but my skin was oily 15 min later. The container is great because you just twist it and it locks so you don't accidently squirt it on your clothes. Its very mild so if your easily irritated by washes and have normal skin this product is worth trying out. |

| Pros: | - very gentle
- softens skin
- does not dry skin out |
| Cons: | - does not remove all of make up |
| Bottom Line: | For many years I used only medicated cleansers (usually with salicylic acid). I started using Cetaphil a couple of months ago when I had a nasty flare up and started the regimen. As my skin cleared up I started to really notice that my skin felt softer than it had in a long, long time. I tried Cetaphil's formula for oily skin and it dried my skin out. As soon as I switched back my soft skin came back too! Love it! |

| Pros: | Light consitency, extremely gentle, effectively removes dirt and oil, does not leave skin dry, great for skin prone to acne. |
| Cons: | A possible allergic reaction, otherwise none. |
| Bottom Line: | I am amazed by this product! I have tried many cleansers that claim to be "for sensitive skin" or "non-drying," but I consistantly found their claims were not in fact true. I have very sensitive skin and bad acne in some areas, so I needed a cleanser that could gently remove dirt, makeup, and oil, yet not take moisture out of my skin or cause breakouts. I've found one! Cetaphil works wonders on my skin.
Just as a warning, however, I have heard some people react to it with a rash, so be sure to check the ingredients for substances you are allergic to.
Also, in terms of price, I see most people rated it as a 5, but I'm putting 4, because there ARE cheaper cleansers. If affordability means if it's worth it's price, I would definitely put a 5, though! |

| Pros: | Very gentle cleanser that doesn't irritate, pleasant smell that doesn't overwhelm, smooth consistency, takes off the tinted moisturizer I use, and nondrying. |
| Cons: | For me, none. |
| Bottom Line: | This is a wonderful cleanser for sensitive, dry skin (which I have). I can't imagine it being bad for anyone. It also significantly improved my skin. Much of my acne, which I had previously ascertained was from irritation, vanished. I now have two to three very small pimples, which are most likely due to my hair products. I also have no more flakies. If you have dry skin, you know how valuable that is. I use this in conjunction with 2% BP on spots (only a few times a week or the surrounding skin goes to flake-land). |

| Pros: | It's affordable, has no fragrance, easy to use. |
| Cons: | - Contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, a known irritant
- It irritated and dried out my skin even more(I have dry skin)
- Acne got worse |
| Bottom Line: | I was one of the unlucky ones, I guess. Try it out for a week or so to see if your skin reacts badly to it. My skin started getting worse approx. 1 month after using this product. Before that, there wasn't much change at all. I ditched this for Olay Moisture-Balancing Foaming Facewash and it works much better [for me]. |

| Pros: | Gentle, fragrance free, soothes irritated skin and won't cause over drying. |
| Cons: | Not available in many high street stores in the UK. |
| Bottom Line: | I have tried various topical medications for persistent adult acne, most of which irritate my sensitive skin and exasperate the problem. Cetaphil products are perfectly suited to dry & sensitive skin and allow better natural moisture retention than other products. My skin is the best it has been in many years, since discovering Cetaphil. |
