if you are using differin and are very dry, use this product. I am never dry or overly oily with this because both products even each other out.

Good overall. Definitely look for generic products, as they cost much less.

I just started using it to combat acne and dry skin and it leaves my skin soft and with less acne. I also think its improving the general appearance of my skin

This cleanser did not work for me. It was like washing my face with moisturiser... I have very oily skin, and after washing with Cetaphil my face did not feel clean at all... It is however very well priced - esp. when buying the big pump bottle..

I found this product to be quite nice. It feels slick and watery. It also softens my skin a little when I use it. It is not harsh and I highly recommend it.

I’ve had “problem skin (that description doesn’t quite cut it) since I was 11, I’m now 23 and this is still causing problems. The worst time for me was between the ages of 13 and 17. My acne is slowly going away, and I mean slowly. I’ve tired every product under the sun and most of the stuff is just another form of soap. I have tired Proactive Solution which worked for about 4 months, I think my skin adapted and overcame the stuff. :P

As I said, I’m now 23 and I’m beyond tired of acne. It’s not nearly as bad as it used to be but it’s still there and I still frequently get breakouts. On average I have I’d say about 5 or more zits on my face at a time and on the rare occasion I might have a day or 2 where I’m down to 2 to 3 but that doesn’t last very long.

I read an article about Cetaphil and decided to give it a try, heck I’ve tried nearly everything else. I’ve been using it for about a year now and it’s has made a great difference to my skin. Sadly the acne isn’t gone but it has reduced a little and my breakouts have also gone down. But my skin’s condition has improved greatly, it’s no longer blotchy or too oily or too dry all the time. The article said it would take the Cetaphil about a year to repair most of the damage done to my skin if harsh products were used. Well I’ve used nearly every product available to me and even went over a year with using straight peroxide to wash it. Ya, ouch...

I feel after a year of use Cetaphil has done well to improve and repair my skin’s condition and to reduce breakouts a little. I hope things continue to improve but if not I’ve decided on going to my doctor to see if there is anything else he can do to help.

An oldie and a goodie. A very straight-forward and soothing product. But I think some of new generation products have improved on the cetaphil theme ie: no Lauryl Sulfate and with some moisturising ingredients. Check out Aquanil, Moisturel and Basis Comfortably Clean.

I really like this product. It takes some getting used to, however. At first I was like, "this is so weird, it's like thick water". It doesn't lather at all.

But it ends up being very gentle and totally non-drying. It's pretty darn good. And comes in large sizes. Be sure to look out for generic versions at your local drugstore.
