Pros Gentle, non drying.
Cons Doesn't lather up like other face washes and also won't remove make up like other foamy type face washes.
Bottom line This is a really good, inexpensive cleanser. Before this I used Proactiv, the Clinique Acne Solutions 3-step, and then finally the regular Clinique 3 step. While all cleared up a small portion of the acne, they also irritated and dried up my skin. Whenever I wear make up, I use this with a cotton ball to remove the make up then wash my face with it and follow with clarifying lotion (toner) and then moisturizer. I've noticed a difference in my skin -- it is looking more supple and has a healthier glow (I also take Vitamin E daily).

Pros This cleanser is great it doesn’t dry out my skin and my breakouts have really clamed down since.
Cons None
Bottom line My skin is really sensitive but I still get terrible breakouts, most cleansers designed to rid pimples are way to drying and only increased my skin’s oil production.
The great thing for me is that I can use the benzoyl peroxide cream my GP prescribed me and not end up waking up all dry and flaky!

Pros Its extremely gentle on your skin and I dont think that it breaks you out though it will happen eventually.
Cons I really dont like the packaging, I wish it was in the pump form where you could push down on the knob to dispense it.
Bottom line Its a great product and altogether cetaphil is a geat brand of acne treatments. Just dont use the cleansing soap as well cause its the same as this product and if you do use both it will break you out severely.

Pros Very, very, gentle for my sensitive skin, does not overdry or make my face feel tight. Can be used without water/ for makeup removal. Very cheap!
Cons Large, unwieldy bottle. Slightly unsatisfying because it doesn't foam like a soap.
Bottom line Since I have started using the gentle skin cleanser, I have not had a single breakout. My skin is calm, clear, and soft! I love this stuff and I wish I had used it in high school!

I do occasionally use other cleansers so that my face doesn't get too used to it, the same way I occasionally use a clarifying or deep moisturizing shampoo. Mostly I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub in addition to the Cetaphil- about once a week, I like to exfoliate a little bit. This combo has worked for me!

Pros Goes on very smooth and washes off well
Removes make up/cover up
Fragrance free
Cons Hasn't reduced pimples (though it doesn't really claim to)
Bottom line This is a really nice cleanser. At first I was bothered by the fact that it didn't "foam", but it's so nice to smooth on and then wash off, and it does remove make up and concealer/foundation very easily. I also have very sensitive skin, and so far it hasn't burned, made me itchy, or caused rashes, so that's nice!

Pros It makes your skin soft and nice also it gets the dirt and oil of your face really nice.
Cons They highered the prce 2 much now it costs $9.99 for a 16)Z Bottle and I remember last August of 07 they selled 2 16OZ Bottles and a small bottle of Moustirizer for only $14.99 I don't know why they highered it maybe because of the bad economy.
Bottom line If you want a normal Cleanser that will get the job done than buy it I just wished they will still sell it at Sam's Club :(

Pros Smooth texture, extremely gentle, no fragrance, easy to find in stores. Makes skin soft.
Cons The pump bottle is hard to travel with! Even when I turn it to "close" somehow it still gets all over everything. :)
Bottom line I've been using this product for years. And while I still break out, it is the only product I have consistently used while switching from medication to medication. Never makes my skin irritated or feel greasy-- especially important when I was on accutane and looking for non-drying face washes. I like to think of it as a really watered down lotion that you wash off with water.

Pros cheaper than some, and seems to work.
Doesn't dry out skin - doesn't contain sodium lauryl/laureth suflates and derivatives
Cons Not sure it reduces acne, but it doesn't seem to contribute to it
Bottom line Good for sensitive, combination/normal 35 yr old skin.
