Pros: cleans well, doesn't leave your skin greasy nor drier than before, very gentle, causes no zits or inflamation. CHEAP! Cons: feels greasy going on, but besides that it's great! Bottom Line: This is the best cleanser I have ever used, I never thought a cleanser would clear my acne, and this hasn't, but I knew many were causing mine to get worse, irritating my skin, and causing other side effects. if you want a cleanser for just cleaning, without any bad side effects get this cleanser! Pros: Gentle, effective, doesn't dry out the skin Cons: none Bottom Line: I've tried so many things: proactiv, tea tree oil, different clearasil and neutrogena products. None have ever cleared up my face as well as cetaphil. It feels great and is starting to look great. My face has always had red spots all over which are starting to clear up. I went to costco and got a huge container for 20$ which will last me awhile since you don't need to use much at all. Since it is so gentle you can also use it multiple times a day without ever drying out the skin. If nothing else has ever worked give this a try! Cons: dont think it has any Bottom Line: I was suffering from mild acne. since i started to use this cleanser my breakouts really stopeeed. infact i use it moisturizer that is super gentle and very effective. Pros: Gentle on my VERY sensitive skin, it was recommended by my dermatologist as well as discovered by research to be the best facial cleanser in the book Clear Skin Diet. Over-the-counter and pretty cheap for a big bottle! Cons: I wish the sensitive skin version came in a pump form. It also doesn't feel like soap (no lather) which takes some getting used to. Bottom Line: This should probably be your basic facial cleanser, and the bonus is that if you don't want to use a heavy moisturizer you can just pat it off instead of rinsing and it keeps skin soft-- these were, in fact, instructions from my dermatologist, and, although he was a bit of a quack in other ways, THIS was definitely a great idea. I also occasionally exfoliate and use different cleansers to cleanse a little more deeply. Recommended: Yes Usage: diomedea has used this item for about a year. Pros: Gentle, non drying. Cons: Doesn't lather up like other face washes and also won't remove make up like other foamy type face washes. Bottom Line: This is a really good, inexpensive cleanser. Before this I used Proactiv, the Clinique Acne Solutions 3-step, and then finally the regular Clinique 3 step. While all cleared up a small portion of the acne, they also irritated and dried up my skin. Whenever I wear make up, I use this with a cotton ball to remove the make up then wash my face with it and follow with clarifying lotion (toner) and then moisturizer. I've noticed a difference in my skin -- it is looking more supple and has a healthier glow (I also take Vitamin E daily). Recommended: Yes Usage: Ally has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: This cleanser is great it doesn’t dry out my skin and my breakouts have really clamed down since. Cons: None Bottom Line: My skin is really sensitive but I still get terrible breakouts, most cleansers designed to rid pimples are way to drying and only increased my skin’s oil production. The great thing for me is that I can use the benzoyl peroxide cream my GP prescribed me and not end up waking up all dry and flaky! Recommended: Yes Usage: v_1991 has used this item for a few months. Pros: Its extremely gentle on your skin and I dont think that it breaks you out though it will happen eventually. Cons: I really dont like the packaging, I wish it was in the pump form where you could push down on the knob to dispense it. Bottom Line: Its a great product and altogether cetaphil is a geat brand of acne treatments. Just dont use the cleansing soap as well cause its the same as this product and if you do use both it will break you out severely. Recommended: Yes Usage: kevin has used this item for a few weeks.
