| Pros | Gentle Good for sensitive skin No odor Helps clear acne Makes skin tone more even |
|---|---|
| Cons | Doesn't exfoliate Not good for getting off makeup |
| Bottom line | This is a great face wash!! My acne, now light, used to be medium/severe, and so I started using medicated acne cleansers like Clearasil. However, this didn't help so I tried switching to Cetaphil, thinking that maybe the chemicals in the Clearasil were what were irritating my face. And I'm happy to say it worked!! My face is clearer than ever before using Cetaphil, along with topical Tretinoin and sulfur. However, Cetaphil is not good for getting off makeup; I hardly ever wear it so this is not a problem for me, but for others who wear more makeup it might be an issue. Anyway, I highly recommend this facewash if you are looking for a gentle, non-chemical cleanser that doesn't irritate sensitive skin. |

| Pros | won't dry you out gentle |
|---|---|
| Cons | will not give you that clean feeling did virtually nothing to my skin feels oily-ish when going on. The feeling of it is kind of hard to explain but I personally don't like it |
| Bottom line | it was recommended to me for my sensitive acne prone skin. This is a gentle cleanser rather than an acne treatment so I didn't really expect much to begin with. It feels weird and did nothing for my skin |

| Pros | -Doesn't dry out -No harsh "scent" chemicals -ACTUALLY WORKS -Softens my skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | -It doesn't give that SO CLEAN feelings, but that is because it is gentle and does not dry you out a ton. |
| Bottom line | I have only been using this for about a week and it has worked amazing. I never write reviews for anything, but this product deserves one. My acne has cleared so much. I usually get really dry skin with my cleansers, but this one actually makes it softer. I have tried EVERY product I can think of, I am sticking with this one now. |

| Pros | -Cleanses skin thoroughly -Does not dry out -No feeling of 'tightness' -Gentle enough to use every day, even for extremely sensitive skin -Actually works at treating acne, particularly mild-moderate |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Feels greasy during application -Can be difficult to wash off |
| Bottom line | This cleanser is a Godsend. I have incredibly sensitive skin, so much so that even cleansers designed for children leave me dry and tight. When I cleanse with Cetaphil, my skin feels thoroughly clean, without the harsh after effects of most cleansers, in fact, my skin actually feels softer after using it. Cheap and easy to find, I recommend this to ANY ONE with acne prone skin! |

| Pros | -gentle -nonirritating -hydrating -smoothing -doesn't cause breakouts -easy to rinse -bottle is huge -works very well with my regimen |
|---|---|
| Cons | -contains SLS and parabens (doesn't really matter, though, because it's only on the skin for 10 seconds) |
| Bottom line | I LOVE CETAPHIL. It's the only thing I put on my skin! I use 4 Cetaphil products at the moment--this, the moisturizing cream as a moisturizer, and the Restoraderm body wash and body moisturizer for my dry skin on my body. I remember 3 years ago when my mother gave me some of this and told me to start washing my face. This is when I didn't have any acne, but my skin was getting oilier. I was using this for years and barely ever got a zit, but then I went on a three week trip and forgot to bring it. They didn't have any at the store where we were, so I got Clean and Clear and St. Ives. HUGE mistake. This is when I started breaking out, about a year and a half ago. Since then, I was switching products all the time and using tons of spot treatments and different regimens that would end up damaging my skin. I even tried making my own cleanser, haha. I FINALLY came to my senses and went back to Cetaphil. I got on 0.025% Retin-A and use this and the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream and my skin is clear again! *A lot of people expect this cleanser to clear up their acne completely, but it probably won't. Sometimes, this works wonders for people, but don't use this alone and just expect your blemishes to start vanishing. This stuff works to clean your skin, not necessarily prevent breakouts. It might if you have very light acne, but if you have light-moderate-severe, you should use this with a medication.* |

| Pros | non - comedogenic fragrance free DIDNT brake me out left skin smooth took off makeup too |
|---|---|
| Cons | dont really have any. |
| Bottom line | i am absolutely in love with this acne cleanser, i have just about tried everything.. from proactive to clean&clear to neutrogena even the stuff the professionals gave me. nothing worked like cetaphil did for me. my skin is sensitive , gets dry, but very oily in afternoons. all my friends were using cetaphil so i tried it too, and i can proudly say ill never go back, after washing my face cetaphil left it so fresh and clean. id first rinse my face with some water just to smear the makeup off a bit. then i would wash it with cetaphil cleanser, dry it , & then use the cetaphil moisturizer. id let it sit for 2-3 minutes just to make sure it all sunk into my skin, then apply the proactive acne mask a thin layer across my whole face, but a spot more on those hormonal zits then go to bed, wake up wash my face add the moisturizer then the makeup to start my day. and that was my routine as simple as that. i definetly recommend this product ! its amazing |

| Pros | Noncomedogenic Doesn't cause breakouts Gentle Feels good on skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | Doesn't take off makeup |
| Bottom line | It was a very gentle face wash and seems to have all that you want in a face wash, but I did not care for the texture and felt like it did not thoroughly clean my skin and it didn't take off my makeup completely, kinda just smeared it, not good! But on a positive note, and this is important to me, it didn't cause me to breakout. |
