Pros + Cleanses skin gently
+ Scent isn't overbearingly horrid
+ Doesn't dry out skin and can use with water or without. Also great for sensitive skin
Cons + Doesn't clean makeup off well
Bottom line This isn't a cleanser to aid in the prevention of acne, it simply is a GENTLE CLEANSER. Though Cetaphil does what it claims to do, it isn't the best for cleaning makeup off with and you would need to wash your face and use it at least a few times before makeup is almost entirely removed. Overall I have to say that Cetaphil by far is one of the best cleansers I have used and comes at a very decent price (Tried cleansers ranging in prices from around $50 to $7 and Cetaphil is definitely one of the best). Love how it doesn't clog my pores as that is the major problem with my skin.

Pros Gentle on skin. Does not dry skin out.
Cons Doesn't clear pimples
Bottom line I might as well have used Dawn dish soap to wash my face. This did nothing to clear pimples. After washing with it I would take an oxy pad to my face and there would still be makeup leftover on my skin.
Price paid $10.00

Pros I've used dozen of over the counter cleansers from Neutragena to Clarins to Clean&Clear etc etc, NONE of them are as gentle as this one. Leaves your skin soft, clean and refreshed. Instead of red, dry and irritated
Cons None that I can think of
Bottom line Whether or not you have acne, this cleanser is very very gentle on the skin and since most acnes occur as a result of irritation, it doesnt harm to try this product. To me its better than specific acne treatment cleansers when combined with BP.

Pros Cleans really well without stripping my skin. Leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.
Cons None - I don't mind the non-foaming characteristic - foaming doesn't mean a product is working, it's just the result of a specific ingredient this doesn't have (sodium lauryl sulfate, I think.)
Bottom line Excellent cleanser for those with or without acne. I want to point out that Cetaphil is a CLEANSER, and while derms recommend it to those with acne, Cetaphil is not designed to treat acne, and makes no claims that it will help with acne. Dermatologists recommend it because it is a very GENTLE cleanser, with no fragrance or unnecessary ingredients, so it is unlikely to exacerbate acne symptoms that way some other cleansers can. So... for those of you who say "it didn't work for me".... if it cleaned your face, it worked for you. Its purpose is not to make acne go away. It did help with my relatively mild acne, though. It's kept the moisture in my skin balanced, and I can clean several times a day to get rid of oil (I have extremely oily skin) and my skin doesn't end up stripped and dry.
