| Cons | It's not a miracle cure - but I don't believe there is such a thing. You must stick with it! |
| Bottom line | I'm 27 - I have mild to moderate acne up and down since I was 16. Like most people I have tried nearly everything with little or no effect. By chance I came across some reviews on this and thought I'd give it a go. I don't usually write reviews on things, but so far have felt this is one of the best things I have ever come across for my super oily skin and want to share my experience in the hopes it may help someone else who's feeling as though there's no hope for their skin. Application: At first it's strange, after being so used to washing my face with water and some form of "soap" like cleanser, it does take some getting used to - it's basically a lotion consistency - I slap a fair amount on, pat it in, leave it a minute or two and gentle remove it with cotton wool. This is particularly satisfying at the end of the day as the cotton wool tends to be a murky grey dirt colour! Timescale: I've been using it for exactly one month. I saw results with 2 weeks but waited to review it in case it was by chance. So far I have noticed that I have fewer breakouts (especially bad at the time of the month, yet I've just passed that and I had only one very small spot). Overall my skin feels smoother, looks cleaner, feels cleaner and older acne scars appear a little less obvious. Overall: It does take a little getting used to - but give it a chance and stick at it because if you are like me, and feel like you tried everything else, this really might be worth a shot for you. Also, as a side note, I am no longer moisturizing as this doesn't not dry the skin at all and no matter how good and mattifying a moisturizer is, I always end up an oil-slick by the end of the day. I am still a little oily by the end of the day but no where near as much. I have also managed to train myself out of the habit of touching my face throughout the day, whether stressed or agitated - I believe this improves your chances of |

| Pros | Price for amount Can get it just about anywhere It actually works for my issues which is redness! |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | I dont ever post reviews unless i am very impressed with something. I have very sensitive skin and always have issues with redness. Not really acne but redness. I am at the point that i have scheduled an appointment with a dermatogist to see if i have rosacea or somthing. I decided to try Cetaphil and all i can say is WOW! What a difference after just the first use. I can finally wash my face and it not look like i have a severe sunburn or windburn. It feels soothed. Still a little dry but about 80% of the redness gone! I am really glad i tried it hope that this is not temporary results. If you have issues with redness i would definetly recommend trying this. |

| Pros | no burning no itching no redness reduces acne works fast |
|---|---|
| Cons | none |
| Bottom line | i use the daily facial cleanser every morning and every night, and i had very noticeable results within a couple of days. i have oily skin, especially after applying foundation on my face. mostly on my chin, and thats were i get the most breakouts. i also had a lot of redness, but after using cetaphil, it reduced drastically! like everyone else says, it doesnt remove make up well, pretty much mascara. but it takes off the rest of my makeup. after i use the daily cleanser i like to use apricot scrub for daily exfoliation, then i use toner to shrink the pores, then moisturize. i know, sounds like a process but it really works. its worth the 5 - 10 minutes of my day to have healthy skin! |

| Pros | Gentle Cleanser Non-Irritating Non-Foaming Non-Fragranced Doesn't Dry Skin Out Non-Comedogenic Dermatologist Recommended Low Price $ out of $$$ |
|---|---|
| Cons | Not a Good Makeup Remover |
| Bottom line | Honestly, I don't think this is pricey at all. Unless you don't live in the states the price of this product doesn't even compare to the pricey products you could purchase at the counter. Anyways, I went to my dermatologist and was recommended to use Cetaphil before my Benzoyl Peroxide wash. I wake up in the morning use a generous amount of Cetaphil wash it off, then use the BP which I also wash off. The results? Amazing. When you look at the product its a slightly cloudy lotion like cream. It doesn't foam up, which won't strip too much of the oil from your face. It's not supposed too. Turns out if you strip the oils from your face your skin tries to produce more to replace your skins barrier. The verdict? Using a product that makes your skin feel "tight" will just end up making your skin more oily afterward. My skins very clear now. For the first time, in a long time I've felt very confident in my appearance. Except for my dark circles, I don't wear any foundation of concealer, because I don't need any! Speaking of makeup this is not a very good makeup remover. Makeup remover is designed to dissolve tough makeup, think of grease paint. I would use Cetaphill after I remove my makeup to help moisturize my face again. The Bottom Line- This is a great product, well recommended. |

| Pros | -Didn't leave skin dry -Left skin clean without oder |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Soduim Lauryl Sulfate |
| Bottom line | It was ok. it was like any cleanser. it just washed and did its job. I don't like that it has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate because i did some research and heard that in a long run it can damage skin. |

| Pros | - extremely gentle and non-irritating - evens out skin tone and texture - brightens skin tone - non-comedogenic - fragrance free - free of soaps and harsh chemicals - helps skin retain moisture - soothes and softens skin, while making it healthy - reduces and prevents acne and breakouts over time - rinses easily - it does not lather or strip skin of natural, needed oils and nutrients - available is various sizes - leaves skin clean and fresh |

| Cons | - it is rather pricey, depending on where you purchase it; it is totally worth it though! |
| Bottom line | this stuff is simply amazing and nothing short of wonderful. it is very effective at significantly improving the look and feel of skin. i was a little iffy about the texture of the cleanser when i first started using it, but i warmed up to it after using it a few times. i love the way it makes my skin feel after rinsing and it greatly reduces acne over a period of time; be patient with it, it takes a good while to be completely effective, but it does work and it is by far the most amazing cleanser you could buy, in my opinion. i've used cetaphil's products for quite some time now, ever since my fiance unknowingly introduced it to me; i'd say about a year. but i just started using the gentle skin cleanser about a month ago and it has already worked wonders! i have oily skin and though it isn't oil-free, it is so gentle that is helps keep my skin's oil production under control, which is awesome. my skin felt and looked better than before after only the first use, with drastic results after about a week or two. i still get the occasional pimple or two once a month due to my period, but that's expected. my skin has definitely improved, thanks to this product and i highly recommend it to anyone who wants overall healthier skin. and it's great for all skin types; from the oiliest of the oily to the driest of the dry, and every skin type in between! :) i hope this review helps anyone that needs it, and i hope that the product works as well for you as it did for me, if you decide to purchase it! it's ten bucks well spent :) |
