This cleanser works well for some people but was terrible for me. I used it when I started on Epiduo and had really dry red irritated skin. Initially I thought it was the Epiduo but when I stopped using the Cetaphil (& kept using Epiduo) my skin got better. Although it's described as gentle it contains sodium lauryl sulfate - which is used in research studies as a comparison skin irritant! You might be ok with it (skin varies a lot) but I've discovered my skin doesn't like it.

Pros

  • None for me

Cons

  • Irritated my skin
  • for about a week
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

This stuff is pretty expensive, especially for the size of the bottle. But I love Cetaphil products, and I think it's worth the price! I still have acne but the number of pimples I'm getting has greatly reduced. I've been using it for a month, and only got one pimple all month! I still have scarring on my cheeks, and it's taking its sweet time to heal up. I will keep using this, because my skin is sensitive and dry, and this gentle cleanser is great for what my skin needs. Try it out!

Pros

  • Smooth
  • Prevents pimples
  • rinses well

Cons

  • No foam/lather
  • Pricey
  • Takes time
  • for about a month
  • $ 8
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I have light acne, most of which is attributed to oily skin. The cleanser works and removes dirt, oil, and such. The only negative is that it doesn't foam, so I feel like I have to use more pumps than necessary to clean my face.

With that said, I'd still recommend the cleanser as it is a lot cheaper than my old one (dermalogica).

Pros

  • Non-irritating
  • removes oil

Cons

  • No Foam
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 12
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Although I do have a small cons as I listed it's not a reason not to give this product 5 star because it deserves.

Pros

  • very gentle
  • non-drying cleanser.
  • skin feels nice after use.

Cons

  • when you rub your hands together it does not creat the "foam" that you should expect at a cleanser.
  • severe
  • for more than a year
  • $ 25
  • I recommend using this treatment.

  • Cheaper than most products, feels nice, gentle, doesn't dry skin, doesn't irritate skin, cleans thoroughly.

Cons

  • Nothing as yet.
  • moderate
  • inconsistently
  • $ 15
  • I recommend using this treatment.

When I first used this, I didn't really like it because it didn't leave my skin with that refreshing sensation other cleansers left. However, I just kept using it and it was actually really nice. My skin did feel clean after I washed it, but not tight and dry. It made my skin feel smooth and healthy. This will not help with breakouts alone, but it will prepare the skin for any topical medication.

Pros

  • Gentle
  • Fragrance Free
  • Doesn't dry out my skin
  • Easy to rinse off
  • Non-medicated

Cons

  • You have to get used to the texture.
  • Doesn't remove makeup very well. (I don't wear makeup so that isn't a problem for me.)
  • light
  • for a few months
  • $ 10
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a major skin irritant do not use facial cleansers with it! I would reccomend the Cerave Cleanser. My acne was pretty tame and i do suffer from sensitivity so I tried this and it made it sooo much worse. Word of advice spend more money on your diet the rewards are amazing.

Pros

  • Gentle
  • No-fragrance
  • (claims to be non-comedogenic)

Cons

  • made me breakout
  • has sodium lauryl sulfate!!!!
  • face didn't feel clean after
  • light
  • for a few months
  • $ 10
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

  • Leaves skin smooth and very clean
  • I think Everything!

Cons

  • I think it would not work so well for those who have severe acne.
  • light
  • for a few months
  • $ 8
  • I recommend using this treatment.
