| Pros | Gentle. Does not dry skin out . |
|---|---|
| Cons | Doesn't thoroughly cleanse the skin Doesn't give a refreshing feeling like most others cleansers do after you've washed your face. |
| Bottom line | I was persuaded by all the great reviews on this cleanser that I decided to try it for myself. At first I was very pleased with how gentle it was to my skin. However, I realized that it didn't remove all the impurites off my skin as I initially expected. The city where I live is among one of the most polluted cities in the world so I was raving for a cleanser which will help me cleanse my skin after a long day at school. Cetaphil failed to do that. After a few months of usage I quit and moved on with a new one. It is Oriflame's Pure Skin Scrub Face Wash which is so cooling. I'm loving it strongly recommended for acne sufferes (it has salicylic acid ) |

| Pros | - No harsh chemicals - Soft - Can be used with or without water |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Does not remove heavy makeup at first wash |
| Bottom line | I use this product everyday and night as my cleanser. It doesn't contain any chemicals like other cleansers, it simply washes my face clean and makes it feel a lot smoother. Although this product does not deal with acne or pimples directly, it is the best daily clenser to feel fresh and not have irritating stings on clogged or infected areas. My favourite cleansing product. |

| Pros | Gentle. Sulfate free. Helps prevent breakout. Hardly smells. It's doesn't irritate my skin. Makes my skin soft. It's creamy. It feels nice. Doesn't strip the moisture off your skin. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It doesn't clear up my ance. Could be too gentle for those who have worst ance. |
| Bottom line | It took me a few years to finally find a good face wash. I've used a lot of different face wash and none of them worked for me. Cetaphil is the best face wash I've tried so far. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't clear my ance completely. I used to breakout once or twice a month but this has help prevent me from breaking out. and If I do breakout, its because I'm stressed out. This face wash is so gentle and creamy. It feels so nice against my skin. It doesn't foam but I've read somewhere that sulfate is what makes a cleanser foam and it's bad for you. So in that case I'm fine the way it is. My face feels so soft, clean, and refreshed. Works for me:) |

| Pros | * makes your skin feel soft * cleared about 50% of my acne over night * gives you confidence! :p |
|---|---|
| Cons | * no lather * your skin feels a little clean but not as clean as if you used a bar of soap * may cause dryness |
| Bottom line | it's a really good product and i would recommend it to anyone! i use it when i wake up and whenever i take a shower at night. i usually use biore moisture lotion with 15spf afterwards because the cetaphil may dry out your skin. it cleared up my acne within a week! |

| Pros | Very gentle Unscented Soap-free Does not dry out skin No new acne Old acne is healing Calms skin Evens out complexion Prevents itchiness |
|---|---|
| Cons | Unattractive packaging |
| Bottom line | My acne is light, T-zone is oily, and cheeks are very dry. In the days when I had perfect skin (ironically, all my life before the age of 20), I didn't use a cleanser at all. Lately, I've had this idea to create a new, very simple routine: cleanse, then moisturize. So far, Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser is exactly what I've been looking for. My skin looks and feels like it has taken a huge sigh of relief. This product won't work for everyone. Here is some background on myself to help you decide whether or not this product might work for you. My acne didn't start until I was 20 (I'm now 24). My skin changed drastically around that time, and my forehead and chin suddenly became very oily while my cheeks remained very dry. I acquired NUMEROUS little clogged pores in the oily areas that eventually would erupt into pimples. I found that anything with salicylic acid ingredients made my skin itchy and worsened my acne. Before this I used Purpose; it was an improvement, but I still would get 3-6 painful pimples at a time. Also, BP wasn't so great for me. I realized it wasn't doing much when I stopped using it 6 weeks ago. This is the first time in 4 years that I have NOT experienced the pain of emerging pimples and itchiness. My acne is healing, and I have no new pimples emerging. I hope this trend will continue! I'm looking forward to having beautiful skin! |

| Pros | Gentle Non-irritating Easy to apply Don't need much |
|---|---|
| Cons | Causes a few acne Doesn't lather Don't give the feel like it's cleaning the skin |
| Bottom line | I started using this product after Christmas day because I noticed a lot whiteheads, blackheads and oil in my skin because of the food I ate. After using it for one day I don't see any difference on my face, but I still continued using it. After 3 days my face broke out! Red large bumps with white pus starts to form... I feel like giving up but I give it another chance to restore my skin for one week. After one week, the acne blemishes and the pimples disappeared. I'm still grateful it restores my skin to its normal state. Forget about the parabens it contained because those are added in a very small amount. I also became horrified at first, but after researching it, those parabens may cause breast cancer, but you are not applying it on your breast and you are not ingesting it so no big deal. Just give it a chance to work on your skin. |

| Pros | -makes skin feel soft and smooth -non comedogenic -extremely gentle |
|---|---|
| Cons | none |
| Bottom line | This is the best product that i have ever used for my skin. I suffered from moderately severe acne, and tried almost every OTC product and facewashes to clear up my skin.Nothing helped. In fact, some of the cleansers irritated my skin and completely dried out my face.. I gave Cetaphil a try, and fell in love with it. Cetaphil salvaged my skin, and does not aggravate/ irritate my acne. I use it twice everyday, along with other dermatologist-prescribed topical drugs and my condition has greatly improved. Thanks to Cetaphil!! I would recommend this product to anybody who has sensitive/dry skin and suffers from acne. |

| Pros | Gentle Good for sensitive skin No odor Helps clear acne Makes skin tone more even |
|---|---|
| Cons | Doesn't exfoliate Not good for getting off makeup |
| Bottom line | This is a great face wash!! My acne, now light, used to be medium/severe, and so I started using medicated acne cleansers like Clearasil. However, this didn't help so I tried switching to Cetaphil, thinking that maybe the chemicals in the Clearasil were what were irritating my face. And I'm happy to say it worked!! My face is clearer than ever before using Cetaphil, along with topical Tretinoin and sulfur. However, Cetaphil is not good for getting off makeup; I hardly ever wear it so this is not a problem for me, but for others who wear more makeup it might be an issue. Anyway, I highly recommend this facewash if you are looking for a gentle, non-chemical cleanser that doesn't irritate sensitive skin. |

| Pros | won't dry you out gentle |
|---|---|
| Cons | will not give you that clean feeling did virtually nothing to my skin feels oily-ish when going on. The feeling of it is kind of hard to explain but I personally don't like it |
| Bottom line | it was recommended to me for my sensitive acne prone skin. This is a gentle cleanser rather than an acne treatment so I didn't really expect much to begin with. It feels weird and did nothing for my skin |
