Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar, Antibacterial Reviews

I just recently started using this product and so far so good. If u went to a store and couldnt find it i would defidently ask the pharmacy because they keep some products behind the counter. The soap makes my skin feel fresh and I also use the Cetaphil lotion after i wash up. Hope it realy makes a difference!!

I tried to use this soap--I really did. I wanted it to work because I'd heard so many good things about it. I tried it after my dermatologist recommended it for me. I stuck with it for about a year after my skin problems started (breakouts on chin and neck area). This soap didn't really help. I guess I'm not really a soap person though--not when it comes to my face. I prefer a liquid cleanser but I don't even really like Cetaphil in the liquid form either. I like a big lather--I guess that is preference...but when I see a lather I feel like I'm cleaning something. Don't like this product but I do think it's good for those who prefer soap perhaps.

I used this product for about a year or so, and while on the regimen. I have pretty bad acne, cystic, etc., and it did not work well for me. I switched to Neutrogena BP Cleanser/Mask and my face cleared up a LOT more (still on the regimen). I think I might try Purpose next because of the good reviews.

Very very gentle....does not dry out my skin. Has been a part of my regimen and helped me get clear. Way better than all those other cleansers out there that contain chemicals that are way to harsh on your skin, making it worse than it was to begin with.

Hey i totally LOVE this cleansing bar! I use it with my regimen and it plays a a huge role in it. I could really say its the star! I only use it at night because for me it works better at night before i go to bed and stuff. Overall i can count on this stuff i can tell. I really like cetaphil products =)

It creates a nice lather to massage your face and after u pat it with a towel gently pat some moisturizer and this both works as a charm for healthy skin! It helps my blemishes too. Ive only used this for about a week and im already bragging about it! Trust me, ive used SOoo many products out there.. even proactive and neutrogena bp gel, different types ot masks, etc. I think the simpler, the gentler;yet powerful the better. It really works.

i like it, did leave my skin a bit dry, but not as dry as purpose cleanser. i think it is very aforadable, and since i am using it only on my face, it will last a long time

Shes not a moron, but I think in this case, it doesn't really matter much. Since bacteria divide every 20 min, they have a huge variety of genetic diversity.. there are bound to be a few that survive the killing agents, just by chance. These will then divide and be immune to the same 'antibacterial' agents, hence the name 'superbugs'. In hospitals, this can be a huge problem where people are already immunely weak. Anyways, there will always be some sort of bacteria on your face and pretty much anywhere, not all are harmful strains so it doesn't really matter much in a household. Anyways, I find cetaphil pretty gentle, but it doesn't help my acne alone.

didn't really get rid of my acne with just this stuff, but it doesn't make it worse. it's just a good face cleaner, not really for acne by itself.

i have a monkey face before and i use to try alot of acne treatment only cetaphil clear up my acne. i was so happy they made this soap.

Don't use anti-bacterial products. Don't you know that if you keep using anti-bacterial products the bacteria become super-bugs and do not react to any anti-bacterial products and antibiotics?

That's why people get super-bugs, mostly at hospitals (since they use so much antibiotics on patients and anti-bacterial cleaning products to clean equipment and floors), and there is no cure for super-bugs.

Research shows (you can research it yourself) that washing your face and hands well with a regular bar soap (for example, Ivory) kills just as much germs/bacteria without transforming them into super-bugs.
