Pros Absorbs quickly.
Non-greasy.
Makes my skin look nice (excluding the flakes).
Doesn't burn my skin (with using BP).
Cons Doesn't keep my skin moisturized.
Bottom line I was excited to try this, based on the description of the lotion and based on other reviews. I have really dry skin and this sounded like it might help out a lot. I've been searching for a good moisturizer because most of the ones that I have tried haven't worked.

The first day that I used it, I thought it was very nice and was working well. But the following days, my skin got dried out again and it's just not getting better with this lotion. I tried adding jojoba oil to it, which usually helps out a lot when I add it to moisturizers, but my skin is still staying dry. I tried using more if it, but that didn't help either. It's just not working on my skin.

Other than the fact that it's not keeping my skin moisturized, I really do like it. It absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. It does seem to make my skin look nicer, if you ignore the flakes.

There are a lot of positive reviews of this lotion, so it might work very well for you. It just doesn't do what it's supposed to do for me.

Pros moisturizes well
soaks in
easy to apply
Cons burns when using certain acne meds
Bottom line ok so i have used this product on both realms of skin. i used it before acne meds and during . before it was a wonderful moisturizer. you only needed a little and it went a long way , it was light, and felt good on my skin. during acne meds the burning was so absolutely incredible that as soon as i applied the lotion i burst out screaming and in tears. mind you i have a very high pain tolerance. i however have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. so this is a product that demonstrates perfectly that all products are different for everyone

Pros * Moisturises very well
* Sinks in quickly to a matte finish
* Well priced
* Hasn't caused any spots
Cons * Not sold in the UK, so shipping is expensive
Bottom line I've used many many moisturisers in the past, including cetaphil and dan's old formula (haven't tried the new one) and this is the best overall moisturiser I have used. It absorbs in to the skin very quickly and lasts a long time (I'm half way through my first bottle after a month of use). I can't comment on it's interaction with BP as I don't use it, but with the cerave cleanser it works a treat :).

Pros Moisturizers well
Got rid of flakes FAST
Cons Burned my skin when used with BP
No SPF
Bottom line I really wanted to like this, but I simply could not get it to work for my skin when using the BP from Dan's Regimen. I got a horrible burning rash, but only when I used it with the BP. I stopped using the BP for one day to see if that was what was causing the problem. Sure enough, it was. I recalled Dan saying that glycerin could cause a burning problem for some (which CeraVe has), the reason that his original moisturizer is no longer being offered. So it works if you don't have acne, pretty much. If you have to use BP, look elsewhere. I've started to use DML with SPF 25 during the daytime and broke down and bought more of Dan's moisturizer for nighttime. So far, I've had pretty good results, but I am still trying to heal my skin from getting burnt with the CeraVe. Time will tell.

Pros Goes on smooth
Doesn't irritate skin
non-greasy
Cons None
Bottom line This is my favorite of several moisturizers that I've tried. The ingredients are pretty good; I don't believe it's led to breakouts. I am a male and use Dan's BP, which dries out my skin a bit. I've relied on this moisturizer quite a bit to help repair the dry skin, and am pleased with the results. It doesn't always alleviate the flakiness, but for the price you can't beat it.

Pros -Very light
-Moisturizes very well
-Gets rid of flakiness & redness
-NOT oily
Cons -Takes practice to use the lotion properly
Bottom line It doesn't feel thick at all like most moisturizers. The best part is that my skin doesn't feel dry with the lotion and it doesn't make my skin any more oily than it already is.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to apply A LOT of the lotion if you are using Dan's BP. If you don't use a lot then the cream dries up quickly and leaves a lot of residue (especially if you have facial hair). If you use the 2-3 pumps Dan recommends make sure to use a lot of the lotion. I use .5-1 pump so I don't need to apply so much of the moisturizer.

Pros Moisturizes
leaves skin very smooth
doesn't leave skin greasy
Cons none! :)
Bottom line I have not been able to find a good moisturizer until my doctor recommended this to me. This is the best moisturizer I have ever used on my face. It was a little pricey for me, but it comes in a big bottle. I will continue using this product! :)

Pros Very light lotion, keeps skin moisturized but not oily, gives you a very natural shine, makes skin feel smooth!
Cons None!
Bottom line I have been using Cerave for almost 5 years now. I love this lotion. It's so lightweight, it doesn't feel like you're putting thick lotion on your face. It's definitely worth the price, and they frequently have coupons available online!!

Pros doesn't irritate a 3rd degree sunburn
extremely gentle on skin
helps restore and maintain protective skin barrior
moisturizes the best out of any other lotion i've ever tried
reasonable price for the huge bottle it comes in that lasts forever
available at any convienence store
Cons literally none! :-)
Bottom line to sum it all up, this is probably the hands down BEST moisturizer i've ever used, and let me explain why i think so highly of this product. first of all, about seven days ago i was out on vacation with my family to go snowboarding in the mountians! i typically do the acne.org regiman and my face looks fenominal 95% of the time, with the exception of a small breakout right before my menstration cycle. anyways, the first day we were out on the mountians, i refused to put on sunscreen (for some stupid reason) and as a result, i got a 3rd degree windburn/sunburn that didn't show up on my face until the next day, but when it did, HOLY COW it was the most aweful looking, painful, embarassing thing i've ever had to experience on my face! blisters EVERYWHERE all along my cheecks, chin, and around my lips! all the blisters looked like they just formed together to make one huge blister, and were bright red! and to top it off, my lips were all puffed up and huge! appealing, right? then about five days later the blisters went all down and my face started pealing like no other! so i tried putting gobs and gobs of moisturizer on it, but nothing was strong enough! (oh, and i didn't use BP at all for at least seven days! just wash and moisturize! my skin was dry enough!) so right when we got back from vacation, i ran up to the local pharmacy in search of a miricle on earth to save my poor, beat up face. thank God i stumbled across this product, because literally within three days it saved my face! it moisturized all the dry spots that peeled off the next day, and hydrated the new, soft skin beautifully! my skin is glowing, moisutirized, and feeling healthy again, and i owe it all to this product! i am DEFINATLY keeping this as a staple moisturizer! oh, and it didn't make my typically oily face look discusting! not even remotly! i totally reccomend this to anyone, give it a try! :-)

Pros Really creamy and rich but still liquidy
Didn't burn or irritate my sensitive BP/ Retin-A skin
Cheap
Cons None
Bottom line Great product. I wanted something plain and not irritating. All of the stuff they sell either has alcohol, acne fighters or is anti-aging for moisturizers. I don't have wrinkles, and the alcohol and acne fighters are what dry out my skin. This lotion is so great.
