| Bottom line | I switched from Carley's to Murad acne complex kit about 3 months ago... Just to see if I could see a dramatic difference in my skin I am worried about anti-aging... Well I ended up going from clear skin to having severe acne just one week after using murad... I stuck it out for the 2 months as suggested ... Not leaving the house unless absolutely necessary.. I was mortified... I decided to return the product... And immediately went back to Carley's after just one week all the major sores were gone and everything was pretty much clear again in just 2 weeks... So as far as anti-aging I scheduled a consult at my plastic surgeon for some Botox and juvederm and will continue to use Carley's :) |

| Pros | Works with perfection. I started with the weaker product and used it for about a month until my skin adjusted and then I moved on to the industrial strength. I have been using it for 3 years now (along with the Carley's clear and smooth soap and other products). It keeps my face clear of acne. |

| Bottom line | Also, did you guys think about everything you are putting on your face? If you are a woman, concealers and face primers can contain salicylic acid. Foundations/ powders can have comedogenics (ingredients that clogs pores/aggravate acne). All of these we use at once to try and cover our acne (I know I use them all the time) which in turn makes our skin worse because of all the chemicals competing to clear our skin when we are actually clogging it. For myself I use Cover-FX concealer and foundation which doesn't contain any of these and it's been good. Pricey yes, but worth it until my skin clears. Don't use anything else on your skin while using Carley's treatment. I think that is what's saving my skin so far. and DON'T PICK! I am a huge picker (c'mon we all do it!) which leaves those pores open to anything that's already on your face to enter and become trapped. Huge no-no! That was probably the hardest thing for me to stop! |

| Pros | The acne product kept my acne under control. Easy to use since it's scrubbing during shower time and use once a day only. After using the acne product, I followed up with the regeneration sea buckthorn moisturizer every night. My skin is now soft and smooth! |

| Bottom line | It may work for some but I cannot use a soap-based system or anything with heavy/moderate oils in them. I should have stopped when it first started breaking me out but continued thinking it would get better. A short amount of purging with new BP or salicylic acid products is to be expected (especially those under-the-skin bumps that are brought to the surface) but I got acne in many places where I didn't have it before. A light case of acne went moderate with cystic acne along the jaw and continued even after I stopped. It's been 2 months and I'm still dealing with the aftermath - my self esteem took a huge dive. Be careful with this product! I've done a lot of research on Paula's Choice website about acne and Carley's has a lot of the ingredients you should avoid. I feel like it "ruined" my face - but hopefully with time and a little TLC, it will improve. Am trying some of Paula's products. So far so good. |

| Bottom line | I have been using this product for over a year now. I have light adult acne (I'm 31) and I also have sensitive, dry skin. I have been to Sephora for skin analysis and nothing that I've bought there has helped me. They either made me break out more or dried me up completely. Carley's has been a skin rescue for me. I do it once a day at night for about 20 seconds and use in conjunction with their amazing soap. I follow up with their regeneration cream and I LOVE my skin. Their customer service is top notch and the products are fabulous! |

| Cons | Hasn't been able to help with the cystic acne on his jawline or back/chest/shoulders. |
| Bottom line | Good for light acne but not for cystic. My son is now on vitamin supplements--the last step before accutane--hopefully the vitamins will work. We have tried everything. My husband took accutane and it worked for him, but it is a strong drug and my son is leery of the side effects. |

| Cons | Broke me out HORRIFICALLY, can't stress how bad it has made my skin. Anyone thinking of ordering this, think again. Please don't risk your skin with this, it is incredibly pore clogging and caused cystic acne all over my chin and lower face. |
| Bottom line | I used this product for about 2 months because I bought into all of the hype and reviews. I can now honestly say that this has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Not only did it give me the worst break out of my entire life, even now that I have stopped using this product, my skin is still breaking out terribly. In retrospect I know I should have stopped using this as soon as it started breaking me out but I was hoping it was just my skin purging. I finally came to my senses and quit using this, but by then the damage was done. I will have scars from using this product for a long time. |
