Thank_you_001I take it for granted sometimes, but I think it’s so cool that we have such an active, helpful, supportive community of people on Acne.org sharing their knowledge and experience.

So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who are active here at Acne.org, whether that be through adding your honest review of products or treatments you have tried, or whether it is asking and/or answering questions on the forum, uploading pictures to the gallery, or keeping a blog of your experience with acne treatment.

How much do we all rock?! A lot.

Acne.org has always relied on word of mouth to get the word out. Lately we’ve been receiving lots of emails from people telling us they found Acne.org through watching YouTube videos that mention Acne.org. I took a look and there are lots of people posting videos on YouTube sharing their experience with The Regimen or giving their opinions on Acne.org products. If you have a few minutes sometime, please feel free to add your voice by uploading a YouTube video yourself. Feel free to be as creative as you want. Here are a few of the types of videos people have been posting:

  • Sharing their opinion and experience on The Regimen
  • Product “hauls”
  • Showing before & after pictures to share their success
  • Doing weekly updates as they proceed with The Regimen so people can watch their progress in real time
  • Thanks to everyone who has been posting on YouTube. It is a great way of letting people know The Regimen is the real deal.

Note: All of the YouTube videos which mention Acne.org are unsponsored.

    Acne.org does not advertise.

Most people find us on Google. The way Google ranks a web site is based on who links into that web site. Basically, the more links that come into Acne.org from around the Internet, the more easily people will continue to find us and get the info and support they need.

    How You Can Help:

  • Post a link to Acne.org in your blog.
  • Link the words “acne treatment”, “acne treatments”, or simply the word “acne” to the Acne.org homepage (http://www.acne.org).
  • If you have a favorite Acne.org page, feel free to link to that. For example, link the word “Accutane” to http://www.acne.org/accutane.html
  • Thanks you guys! This will really help! If you have any questions on how to do this, feel free to contact me.

It’s been another awesome year. You’ve all contributed a ton to the site with your reviews, blogs, galleries, forum posts, success stories, and emails. Even those of you who just come to hang out and read, I want to thank you for being here and becoming more educated so that you can spread the word amongst your family and friends should the time arise.

I have a sneaking suspicion that 2010 is going to be even more exciting. The scientific community is producing some very interesting research into acne. I’ll share it all with you as I discover it myself. In the meantime, I hope you have a joyous holiday and enjoy the love that surrounds you.

As usual, I am busy with a bunch of stuff–bottling jojoba, sampling moisturizers, researching this and that. But at this time of year, and forgive the mushiness, I remember how unimportant that stuff is when compared with family and people. So at the risk of sounding all touchy feely and what not, I really appreciate all of you guys. It is amazing how caring you are to each other and to me. It means a ton to me that you guys come here and help each other out so selflessly–and help me out too. I feel blessed being part of the community that you all make possible.

So happy holidays to everybody! And a million thanks for another amazing year.

    Cheers,

    Dan

I just got my latest check from drugstore.com and it was $569 over what I need for bandwidth this month. I don’t know why people have been clicking through to drugstore.com and ordering more stuff, but this rocks. I needed the extra money to pay for past months where I had to cover some of the bandwidth myself, but with another couple months like this one and I’ll be caught up. Y’all rock! Thanks.
