Today’s video was 11:30 long so YouTube wouldn’t let us upload it. We used Picasa instead. That’s why it looks different, but it should still work :) Just press the play button!

dan I want to know how to do this with a limited supply of water, like a water bottle size. I camp alot.

Thanks Dan! I have been wondering for a long time how exactly you approach shaving. For me, it’s been the most difficult ‘part’ of the regimen. Perhaps in part because the cleanser I use, cetaphil, does not lather up at all. Shaving with it is practically like shaving with just water, so I end up using shaving cream instead, which in turn causes me to break out.

Is it possible to shave without the acne.org cleanser? Are there any shaving creams I can trust (or other cleansers that work nicely for shaving)?

If you need to use sunscreen, would you use it in place of the moisturizer and jojoba oil?

    Thanks

Hey, BP, I also use the Cetaphil cleanser for the regimen. I’ve also been using it to shave for a few weeks now, and I have to say it is perfect for it. Even though you may think a good lather is the only way to get a good shave, I’m telling you from experience, it’s just as good, if not better, for shaving.

Hope it works out for you.

I would love to try your products, but you can’t seen buy them from Sweden, which sucks!
You should try to fix that problem if possible.
‘Cause I’m almost dyeing from an acne overdose over here!

Hey Dan, My acne is on and off. I am taking Minocycline and about a month and a half in. My skin is definitely improving but the issue of shaving comes up. I hate electric razors but often see the side affects of manual shaving reek havoc on my skin. I am using a daily cleanser(Clearisil Daily facial wash) and a moisturizer(oil free-neutrogena). I have fair skin so my facial hair is blonde/brown so it is not really that noticeable. How often should I shave?

  • Sam

Hey Brad, it’s not important how often you shave, but the type of razor you use is very important. Using the right non-irritant shaving products is a good start, something that contains tea-tree can always be beneficial, I use a great one in Australia called ‘Tri-Shave’. Also when using razors, try to find a single blade razor, some ones i’ve seen recommended are PFB Bump Fighter or BIC Disposable for Sensitive Skin. I know it’s hard to find good acne products out there but keep asking questions and you should get some good answers.
