I tried everything to get rid of my allergies–pills, acupuncture, allergy shots, etc. It turns out HEPA filters were the answer–at least for me. I can’t believe I took this long to try them. My favorite site to get them is rabbitair.com. I’m totally not affiliated with them in any way, but their filters are the best looking, work great, and their customer service is top notch. Plus, a little inside tip…if you call them to order and ask for a free replacement filter, they’ll probably give you one. If you do call, tell them Dan from Acne.org says hi too. I’ve called a few times lately to order and they kinda know me by now ;-)

  4. Dan,

I was curious as to why irritation causes acne, even while one is on the regimen? Shouldn’t the oxygenated environment that benzoyl peroxide creates be enough to kill all P. Acne bacteria, regardless of whether irritation occurs or not? I guess what I’m essentially asking is why irritation causes acne (particularly while on the regimen).

Great videos logs by the way; they’re very informative.

  5. I use an IQAir (http://www.iqair.com/residential/roomairpurifiers/healthproplus.php) which is definitely pricey, but DEFINITELY worth it. There are 3 filters and you change them every 1,2 and 3 years. It pays for itself. I’ve had it for about 3 years now and I breathe much better.

P.S. I’m not affiliated with them either.
    P.P.S Hilarious video guys!!!

  7. Wrong Boo! Dan’s videos don’t always have to be about acne, we all need a little humor here and there.

  8. When my nose gets itchy for any reason and I scratch it with my bare (and probably bacteria-ridden) fingers, I get nose acne. My dad always told me to carry a handkerchief and use that instead to scratch my nose…and he was right. I don’t get nose acne (or face acne for that matter) because I never touch any part of my face with my bare hands.

  9. I love your silly videos, they make me laugh every time and they still get a valid point across, it’s great that something funny can come from an otherwise depressing condition :)
