My SPF of choice is just a wide brimmed hat. I like hats because they physically block the sun, and block it at 100%. Plus, I’m not putting extra ingredients on my skin this way. If you decide to use hats, just be aware that they can irritate the forehead area. Doing the Regimen up there should help you stay clear even if you use a hat.

Sun Week – Day 4 – Chemical Exfoliants
Chemical exfoliants like retinoids (Retin-A, tazorac, etc.), alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid, lactic acid), and salicylic acid, can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Be extra aware of sun protection if you are using any of these products.
Sun Week – Day 3 – Choosing an SPF
Come shopping with me today and we’ll take a look at SPF options down at my local Walgreens.
The video is super grainy. I’m not sure what’s up. I’ve been having huge problems with YouTube all week, so it’s a mystery. Anyway, I hope the information still comes through.
Sun Week – Day 2 – Vitamin D
We only get our vitamin D from the sun and from dairy, so if you’re not getting a lot of sun and you don’t eat much fortified dairy, it’s a good idea to take a vitamin D3 supplement.
Sun Week – Day 1 – The Sun & Acne
We’re starting “Sun Week” a little late in the week because YouTube was down on Monday and then we had a special announcement on Tuesday about TLC (The Learning Channel) doing a documentary about Acne.org! Check out yesterday’s video if you want to be a part of the documentary. Happy Sun Week!
Wanna be on TV?
In this video, I say it’s gonna be Sun Week from Tuesday to Friday this week, but since YouTube wouldn’t let me post yesterday Sun Week is going to have to be pushed back to Wednesday-Friday of this week and then Monday and Tuesday of next week probably. Alternately, I might just do something else for the rest of this week and save Sun Week for next week. Ok, this has ceased being interesting. I will sign off
YouTube won’t let me post
Sorry you guys. YouTube is doing maintenance, so I can’t post today’s video. I’ll post first thing in the morning tomorrow

Cost of cortisone shots
I forgot to mention the cost of cortisone shots in the blog yesterday. It sounds like they are between $10 and $100 depending on where you go and whether your insurance covers it. You can read more on this cortisone shot cost post on Acne.org.
btw, no video today. I was at the dentist all day again and didn’t have time to shoot anything. I’ll do my best to get one up tomorrow!
