I've used the anti-static balls for the past few years. They generally work well for static, however, a load with many pieces of fleece clothing sometimes still has a little static. On the other hand, the balls seem to make the clothes dry faster, as it keeps them separated in the dryer.

It is good to know that aluminum foil works in a similar manner. Foil can be my backup now.

Thanks for doing this experiment, Dan!

These videos are so fascinating! It has been boggling me for the past couple of weeks which method works better, and because I have to pay to do my laundry I can't just try them all out. So this is quite useful!

Originally I had used the hypo-allergenic dryer sheets, but I didn't realize that it was actually the wax that could possibly instigate breakouts... Which really makes a lot of sense. But now I will definitely try the vinegar and baking soda. :D

Looks like a combo of the vinegar and baking soda for softness and aluminum balls for anti-static would be the big winner!

Scientifically, there are a lot of things could've varied. maybe one sheet fabric was just already softer than the other.

oh well! I don't expect u to go through any tremendous study into this either. love your videos :)
