Day Five of Laundry Week: Anti-static Balls!
If you use fabric softener sheets in the dryer to manage static, you may want to try anti-static balls instead. Or, you can try just crumpling up aluminum foil, which is cheaper and works too!

I’ve used the anti-static balls for the past few years. They generally work well for static, however, a load with many pieces of fleece clothing sometimes still has a little static. On the other hand, the balls seem to make the clothes dry faster, as it keeps them separated in the dryer.
It is good to know that aluminum foil works in a similar manner. Foil can be my backup now.
Thanks for doing this experiment, Dan!

These videos are so fascinating! It has been boggling me for the past couple of weeks which method works better, and because I have to pay to do my laundry I can’t just try them all out. So this is quite useful!
Originally I had used the hypo-allergenic dryer sheets, but I didn’t realize that it was actually the wax that could possibly instigate breakouts… Which really makes a lot of sense. But now I will definitely try the vinegar and baking soda.

Looks like a combo of the vinegar and baking soda for softness and aluminum balls for anti-static would be the big winner!

I will stick to baking soda and vinegar, it does work the best! and I agree with Laura, tim should find himself a grilfriend, poor guy has nothing better to do.

Scientifically, there are a lot of things could’ve varied. maybe one sheet fabric was just already softer than the other.
oh well! I don’t expect u to go through any tremendous study into this either. love your videos
