Hey Dan,

I had really bad allergy for a couple of years now, but this year is the first one that I don't have it--or more correctly--got rid of it. I had used everything over the counter and was left with unsastified results. However, my savors arrived this year (like your acutane). My doctor introduced Sudafed and Flonase. Back then, my noses were bleeding during the night, which caused me to sleep 3 hours a night, my eyes were itching, and other symtoms. Now a day, everything is completely normal. As my doctor prescribed, I need to take two tablets of Sudafed and one spray of Flonase a day. It work so well tha a week into the treatment, I end up taken only one tablet of Sudafed and a spray of Flonase a day. At this moment, the end August, I have stopped using them because the season is over.

They might work for you as well as they did for me. I saw a couple of other recommendations, and I know you are going to try them all. Hope you find the ones that work for you.

Hey sorry to hear about the allergies. I work in the pharmacy as a pharmacy tech so hope this helps, we have been getting a lot of this. I would try zyrtec D or Clartin D. But the thing is you have to keep taking it everyday at the same time. It take about a week for these medications to work in your body system. Hope that helps! Sorry but there is really nothing that clears out allergies right away..dont believe that zyrtec commerical. If still not sure ask the pharmacist incase you are taking any other medications because they may interact with what you are taking.

i just use the AHA once a day (only at night). i just out on a bunch and after watching this i will put on spots that i have to see if it'll help (behind my ear/neck area). this product i've used since july. i only use this as i have other things i use regularly. this is one of my favorites and i always take it with me on trips. i still do break out on the occasion for some reason.

Thought I would add that another option to allergy shots might be allergy drops. It may be worth looking into.

Hey Dan. Thanks for a good comprehensive site. A friend of mine is a world renowned allergy specialist. He was one of the people who helped develop the inhaler for asthmatics. His website is www.allergiesexplained.com. Anyway, one of the things that you might find interesting is a spray of an asthmatic inhaler such as bricanyl or ventalin to the eye can dramatically improve allergic reactions. Although a doctor won't give you this advice, it is basically a form of steroid, and treats the localised problem. I've ordered some of your BP, I'll give it a try.

for the allergies, you might want to try a neti pot or some other nasal irrigation system. they use salt water to clear out your sinuses. its supposed to be great for that, along with a variety of other sinus issues. i love mine!

I use a 1:1 mix of cetaphil cream and 10% AHA twice daily with once daily bp. That seems to work pretty well. It certainly keeps spots away, but I think my skin looks a little beat up at times (depends on the lighting). I suppose I'm just happy with clear skin for now though, so I'm sticking with what works.
