Hi Dan, I love your site. I think it's a great idea to talk about pregnancy, especially because I had to shelve a lot of the great ingredients that kept my acne at bay (AHA's and salicylic acid to name two) during pregnancy. Don't forget about breastfeeding! Lots of women breastfeed for extended periods of time, and more and more women are starting to do so. It will add up to years of my own life by the time I'm finished raising my own children. I worry less as they get older about certain skin care ingredients getting into my milk, but it's definitely a concern of mine when they are newborns. Thanks for your hard work! What a great resource you've created. All the best to you and your team.

dan i know you made a video on chapstick but can you do a video more focused on lip acne? acne border line your lips? and distinguish between the difference between acne and herpes and ways to avoid from breaking out, hope you take my idea into consideration, thanks

Hello. I've been doing the benzoyl peroxide remedy for a few days now. I'm not sure it will work, and I'll say why. I've had acne since I was 13, and now i'm 29. I've tried just about every topical cream, wash, mask, etc. Some worked a bit, others not at all. I also tried birth control for a few days, but that messed up my hormones so bad that I quit and never again even thought about trying. What worked pretty good at one time was Adoxa. I believe the other name for it is Doxycilin or something like that. This is an antibiotic that's not too harsh. It cleared up my skin very nicely, but as soon as I stopped taking it, my acne came back. By now I pretty much figured out what aggravates my acne condition. I might be wrong, but this is what it is for me: 1.Stress. 2.Foods that are high in salt, oils, nuts, chocolate. 3.PMS. So, no matter what I use topically, if I don't exclude these 3 things from my life, I have acne. The foods I can control, although life is pretty bad without chocolate; stress is sometimes controllable :) but pms is pretty much here to stay, at least for a while. I have a friend who is undergoing a Vitamin A treatment, and is working very well for her. I'm thinking about trying it myself, although I've heard some bad things about that too. Also, I think that once I stop it, acne will come back. What do you say?

Hey dan,
Great ideas for the women and acne page, all are very relevant. Another suggestion to add would be the emotional side of acne for women including self image/worth. Women unfortunately feel the pressure to be attractive to prove their self worth, and struggling with acne can often cause emotional damage. I think it would be great to have a place for support and advice that is focused towards women and how they can better themselves emotionally too. almost like a AHA+ for the soul!
