Benzoyl Peroxide Reviews

I used to use proactive solution for about 1 year and my face cleared pretty well with no reactions to BP. Then I discontinued it for about 1 year and my acne came back so I started it again and now I'm allergic to it. My face swells up and all my neck gets itchy. I even felt heat on my face. I ordered the BP gel from the clear skin regimen and my face does the same thing. Why am I now allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide? What can I use now to control my acne?

it is alright but aint that great, just wish i could find something that could clear my pimples and keep them away.

Well, when I used bp, it made the big pimples go away, but my skin got red and peely. It stung so bad that some nights i couldn't even get to sleep. I wasn't impressed by the results, either. I guess it works on some people, but i couldn't stand it!!!

I tried accutane before and it did work; my skin was flawless and naturally glowing. But after a year or two acne comes back even worse than before. It’s not true that it would permanently stop acne!!
I’m trying peroxide now; it kind of dries my skin and makes my pimples allot redder
but hopefully it cures and prevents my acnes.

on a scale of 1 to 10 my acne was at like 5 so i convinced my parents to let me go to the doc. he hardly looked at my face and prescribed my this stuff with clindamycin. the stuff worked good on my face clearing most of my face up. the only thing however with this stuff is that after a month or so the treatment hardly works. when i first started my skin burned and itched but after a month it went down. however this stuff does absolutely nothin for scarring so i went back to the doc for some more however he has me to try stievamycin. does anyone no about this stuff? is it any good?

i have tired everything and it is really annoying me and nothing seen to work and i tired benzoyl peroxide but it still hasnt gone and i wish it would just go i hate having it. i lokked at everyone else face and i think i wish i had skin like that but i probley and never will.

uhh... stupid BP.. anyways this product worked well when my doctor perscribed it.. and then i stopped using it for awhile and then i went back to it. for some reason my skin started to get a weeeee bit itchy here and there but it was okay.

my friend recently tried PANOXYL and told me i should too. so my mom got me the bar & gel and i applied it that very night, the next day i went to the washroom to wash my face and i screamed for dear life. apprently, my face went NUTTTTSSS. it was red & extremely swallon omg! you could barely see my eyes. it was soo crazzzy. i broke down and cried and my mom took me to the doctor but i was soo embrassed to leave my house =/ but i went anyways. *sigh

while my doctor was tlaking to me i couldn't stop crying.. and he felt bad for me and told me that he'd recomend that i go to a specialist. he made an appointment for me and it took 4 months until i got that appointment! i go to see her once a month & i've been perscribed this tetroinin gel thing but i don't really think it's improving my acne problem but i'll ssuck it up and be patien =/ hmm but so far i've changed my pills about 3 times now because there hasn't been any improvement right now i'm on this bactirm thing but i've only been using it for 3 days.


BP works well for just about everybody & im so jealous because even though it made my skin go all crazzzy after that night. once my face went down to it's normal size my pimples got smaller too.. so yea it works! but shoooot i guess im one of the unlucky 3% who's allergic to it.

I had really bad back acne and the doctor started me on Benzaclin which worked really great in the beginning but then just seemed to stop it from coming back but there was still some left. Then the doctor gave me Minocin pills to take twice a day with the Benzaclin, I've only been using the pills with the Benzaclin for about a month but it's really clearing up! Both of these medications are covered by insurance as well.(in Canada at least)

For those of you who have sensitive skin and experience dryness or redness when using benzoyl peroxide products, I would strongly recommend NeoBenz Micro. It's a benzoyl peroxide cream made specifically for sensitive skin and causes less irritation because the benzoyl peroxide is released gradually through a microsponge system, similar to the way retin-a micro works. NeoBenz Micro comes in 3 different concentrations: 3.5%,5.5%, and 8.5% I have been using the 5.5% for about 2 weeks and haven't had any problems with dryness or irritation. Before that, I was prescribed Benzaclin but I had to stop using it after about 5 days because it made my skin way too dry and red. Now I use NeoBenz Micro at night and Klaron lotion in the morning. So far I am pretty happy with the results. I can't really give an accurate rating on affordability yet because I am just using the samples from the dermatologist for now.

Ok now I tried all the expensive stuff the Doctor threw at me...My mom ordered bp 2.5 from this site. and guess what..I follow the clear skin thing and it really worked and cheap...I had large cyst type of break outs and I use cetaphil to wask bp in the morning and night and after schoo cleocin pads....the bp worked great finally seeing my face again after months of fighting acne
