| Pros: | drys pimples up really fast! |
| Cons: | drys out skin and makes you red |
| Bottom Line: | i have been using persa-gel BP its 10% it works wonders on my forehead where i get a few bumps ,monthly but just makes my nose/chin/cheek area red, clears it up good but i cant handle the redness or pain so i think im going to go out today and get 5% BP for my nose cheeks and chin. |

| Pros: | Great, very effective, and after regular use, you get used to it and it doesn't sting. If you glide it on, you also can't see the white residue thing. Great - highly recommended as it does its job! |
| Cons: | If you don't use it for a few days, your pimples will bombard your face. I made the mistake of not using it a few days before my formal, and my face completely broke out! |
| Bottom Line: | Great. Not as irritating as Salicylic Acid. Don't combine cleansers with salicylic acid with Benzoyl Peroxide. Results in irritation and redness! |

| Pros: | First time I used it, it worked like a dream within a few days I was puss free and after about 2 weeks all my acne was gone, I was red for a while though on my neck as it burns! I suffer from acne on my chin and neck. |
| Cons: | It bleaches all your clothes and bedding, its cheap but the amount you then have to pay out for new stuff makes it mighty expensive! |
| Bottom Line: | It good if you have white bedding, towels n clothes!
I found that my spots did go away for a long time after using quinoderm. When they came back I tried it again but it didnt seem to work for me as it did before. Now trying freederm, fingers crossed. |

| Pros: | it starts working right away and works pretty well, Acne clears up pretty fast |
| Cons: | The only bad thing is that if you stop using it for just one day you skin will go right back to the way it was augh! |

| Bottom Line: | i am 46 years old and had acne fairly bad as a teen into my 20s. in 1984 i did acutane and my skin was acne free for over 10 years. when it did return it was occasional cystic acne. i now apply a little johnson+ johnson persa-gel mixed with a little water to thin it everyday. the water seems to make it more effective and easier to apply. it works well and i have yet to develop resistance. ... although aveeno has change the balancing bar over the years the current bar is still pretty good. i wash two to three times a day; no matter what the derm docs say you got to keep clean to miminize acne. |

| Bottom Line: | I USED THE PRESCRIPTION WASH-4, AND IT TOTALLY MADE ME BREAK OUT EVEN WORST. I EVEN HAD TRIED PROACTIVE AND IT DID THE SAME THING. IT WASN'T JUST SMALL PIMPLES, IT WAS HUGE, DEEP, BULGING PIMPLE. I USUALLY DON'T HAVE SENSTIVE, SO I DON'T SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT ALSO BLEACHES EVERYTHING, SO BE CAREFUL. |

| Pros: | Clears up the acne within days and keeps it away. |
| Cons: | The cost is enormous and is considered to be "excessive" in the eyes of most insurance companies and therefore they cover a small % of the drug. |
| Bottom Line: | I have used BenzaClin for about 3, maybe 4 years now and tried going off it this past month and my acne returned so I am on it again. It works great, but dries the skin so I use only once a day and it is effective. |

My daughter, bless her, shes only 12 and had awful acne, shes been applying bp for about a month, and her acne is about 75 per cent better, sure, it dries the skin out, but she uses less and then it corrects itself, its sure worth a try...
