| Pros: | prevent breakouts, reduce oil, even skintone. |
| Cons: | initially: red, tight skin, extreme dryness, scaliness, etc. over time your skin will adapt and besides some dryness, will be fine. must be used liberally to prevent all breakouts |
| Bottom Line: | i've used benzoyl peroxide for years. only in the past few months have i began using it regularly. since then my skin has cleared dramatically. i occasionally have some breakouts, and my skin still gets oily; however, i am still in the process of upping my daily dosage. friends used to comment on my acne but now they refer to it as something of the past. if you have time each day to apply benzoyl peroxide, it is definitely reccomended. |

| Bottom Line: | i just cant figure it out. i used acnefree for a couple of years and my breakouts were fewer.i stopped for a year, and my skin was OK. im now healthier than i ever have been, and a few months ago my acne exploded and is now more cystic, which it never was before.before it was the lame white bumps all over.im 23 and have started using proactiv(someone gave it to me) doesnt seem to do much at all.10% BP spot treatment makes it redder, not better. |

I use a vitamin enriched aftershave before i use the BP... seems to work well. |

| Pros: | I used triaz at first and then benzaclin. Both products reduced my pimples but didn't disappear them completely. |
| Cons: | In order for my skin to be completely clear i have to use an antibiotic or something of the sort. It hurts a lot and doesn't prevent new pimples from forming. |
| Bottom Line: | If you can withstand the pain, and if your acne is very mild then it's ok. If you have severe acne then it doesn't do much. My dermathologist meant to dry my face with this product, but although my face would be dry for the first hour or two, my face would get oilier than if i hadn't used anything throughout the day and the pimples would come back bigger and in more quantity. |

| Bottom Line: | When I was 17 I started getting pimples around the time of my period. I don't remember it being a lot, but enough to make me unhappy. My boyfriend who had clear skin was using 10% PanOxyl Bar. I used this for YEARS and it kept my skin very clear. I even rubbed it on my shoulder blades where I'd get a zit or two and it kept that clear. After I got pregnant I broke out like crazy. I saw an ad for Proactiv and tried it. I became obsessed and though it NEVER seemed to work I kept at it for two years. My skin was never dry but I always, always had zits. I switched to Exposed Skincare which made my skin very irritated at first and it did nothing to clear up the zits. I tried this Dermacia makeup crap and I broke out in a rash of red bumps/zits across my forehead. This problem has made me self conscience and deeply depressed. Five days ago I went back on the PanOxyl Bar and my face is on fire! My skin is chapped. Zits are clearing though. What can you do for chapped skin without getting zits? |

| Pros: | Benzaclin is amazing. Dries up pimples fast and keeps new ones from forming. My face is 99% better than when I started it 2 months ago. |
| Cons: | Face gets dry, tight and itchy while its on so i only use it at night. It also causes a few fine lines from the dryness, but that goes away after you use face lotion. |
| Bottom Line: | I am 24 years old. I have mild-moderate acne ever since i was a teenager. I always got a zit or two before my period, which would also leave me with dark spots. I started using benzaclin about 2 months ago and its great! it dried up all my existing pimples fast and now if i do get a pimple, its really small, hardly noticable and its gone within a day or two. It doesnt get all inflamed and last for weeks like it used to. No more cystic acne. The dryness and itching are the only cons, but its worth it. its only really itchy when the cream is on, but its way better than having acne. and now that my acne is under control my dark spots are finally almost gone so my skin tone is much more even. i love this product. i would highly reccomend it. after insurance it only cost me $15 for a 50g jar. its been 2 months and i still have plenty left. |

| Cons: | Doesn't really do much, leaves my skin feeling tight and irritated. |
| Bottom Line: | I've been on this for a while (1 year off and on, 3-4 months consisently so far), and I havn't noticed a difference. It really hasn't gotten worse but not really better either.
Factor in that it makes my face really dry and flaky, I really don't like using this, but I do because I keep hoping it may start working eventually.

| Cons: | Initially dries out skin, and brings up all the gunk to the surface which will clear with continued use! |
| Bottom Line: | This stuff works. I'm 24 and have acne for a long time, and am now finally gettiing over it (knock on wood). I wash my face twice a day with the Panoxyl Bar 10%. In the morning I follow the wash with a lathering of Edge Ultra Sensitive Shave Gel (massage it in) then shave with the Bic double edge razor in the direction of growth. I rinse the shave gel, pat my face dry, and go on with my day! Keep at it, Benzoyl Peroxide works. It's normal for your face to get worse, it takes a while for zits to form (somtimes weeks) and these things have to clear out. The Benzoyl Peroxde will keep new zits from forming, so it has to be used every day twice a day. |
