| Pros | I had acne for years.. i thought bezoyl peroxide sucked, but recently i just use the repairing lotion as spot treatment with "clean & clear facial wash" (orange bottle) and my acne disappeared... |
|---|---|
| Cons | For proactive and acnefree dont use the cleanser and toner it just causes redness and makes more breakout.. it contains alcohol... |
| Bottom line | It works but dont use the cleanser & TONER ever!! it contains alcohol wich makes ur face red.. |

| Pros | Works effectively on any type of spot-nodules, cysts, whiteheads. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It takes time for the skin to adjust to it. Skin may tingle and feel tight on every application. Peeling will be visible. |
| Bottom line | Ive suffered from acne for 10years!!! But i have a regime that i have been doing for 3 months now. Its working for me..I recommend others to try. First i wash my face with a gentle facewash to balance my skins PH. Then i apply thin layer of Benzoyl Peroxide with a light moisturiser straight after (Nivea Oxygen Cream or Olay Sensitive) I do this morning and evening, this prevents the tight sore feeling that others have experienced. I also recommend Exfoliating and Steaming the face once a week. Feed your skin with fruits and veg EVERY DAY and you will see the results. Dont give up, give your skin time to adjust. Goodluck to those that try it!!!x |

| Pros | Cheap and effective in small doses in small areas. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Redness, burning, stinging, irritation, dryness, ruined pillows, bedsheets, towels, carpets, |
| Bottom line | Some people have had success with Benzyl Peroxide, but I'm not one of them. I found that it only exacerbated my symptoms and caused major irritation. Benzyl Peroxide seems to ruin fabrics worse than actual bleach. It stung terribly. I do not believe it should be used on large areas of the face. |

| Pros | It dryed up my zits fast. |
|---|---|
| Cons | That being said, I think it was because it took the first layer of my skin off. I am puffy, red, itchey, and peeling. Not to metion the drynesss made my tiny fine lines around my eyes look like craters! Ouch! |
| Bottom line | Not for mild acne or an occasional zit. Don't use if think your skin is even kind-of sensitive. |

| Pros | Benzoyl peroxide quickly reduce papules, postules and white heads. Does almost nothing to blacks heads made of dried oil. Used 10% concentration to severe (3 times) and moderate (2 times) conditions and 5% to light spots and until spots drys u |
|---|---|
| Cons | Causes redness in the long term and turns oily sebum pores and areas to acne rosacea. Skin treated reacts bad to the sun (use carefully in summer time) Does nothing to red spots (not infected nor close by sebum) |
| Bottom line | Got my recurring severe acne into moderate acne to occasional papules. Areas that did not had acne before are now prone to stating producing sebum in a crazy way (record was 1 g in the arm pit) It works as long as you TREAT ONLY AFFECT AREAS AND THE 1 CM SURROUNDING. It's cheap |

| Pros | Excellent for cysts. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dryness. Redness. Burning. |
| Bottom line | No pain no gain? I have been using an 8% prescription benzoyl peroxide after using the more mild 2.5 and 6% over the counter ones. When you initially go on this product it will tend to cause redness, flaking, and a burning sensation. Over time you may, like myself, become more immune to these symptoms but you may also start to get "leather skin". I suggest using this product only at the onset of a breakout. |
