BP worked for a little while, then it just dried me out and made me break out worse. It seemed like the bacteria got immune to it.

Couldn't stick out the dry, flaky skin. I think it brought my self-esteem down a notch or two rather than up ... at least with (moderate) acne there are ways to hide it with makeup without looking over-the-top, but there is very litle you can do with such dry skin. Also, you obviously have to use quite a bit for it to be effective, and that can be quite expensive ...

the cleanser itself costed 12 bucks!!! and it didnt even really make my skin feel clean! and then the lotion costed 10 bucks and it made my skin so dry i had little flakes on my forehead! it deffinetly dried up my acne, but it didnt get rid of the little spots, i had a spot on the side of my cheek, and it was there for three weeks! i was suprised when i saw all of the reviews on this from people who were successful with it.

I used Proactiv for 2 months and my face got worse and never better. I had worse acne than I have ever had in my entire life. My face was red, dry and flaky, not to mention a huge increase in acne. I have discontinued the use of Proactiv and returned it for a refund.

BP has been the ONLY thing that has worked for me to date. It's helped get rid of my modular acne and helps get rid of white heads fast. The kind I use is called Benzac W5 by Galderma and comes in 60g tubes for about ten bucks a pop. Canadian residents can easily find it at their local Wal-Mart or drug store.

ProActive works for me. It's only 2.5% bp and a perscription is not needed. It took me years before trying it due to all the hype. But, no kidding, this stuff works. Not sure about the long term, but it's a good start.

This is one of the best product I have ever used. My skin hasn't been this clear since about 3 years ago when I hadn't hit puberty. If you get annoyed with bp, stick with it, the redness goes down, the swelling goes down, and most importantly, your acne basically disappears over time. The bp that I have been using is BenzaClin and it is the best I have ever used. The next time you go see your dermatologist or, if you don't have a dermatologist, schedule and appointment with one and ask for BenzaClin if you havn't already tried it. It will drastically decrease your acne...no joke.

I have been using over the counter bp 5% for about three weeks twice daily, In all honesty my skin has'nt been this clean for years(including during the time when i was on medication from the doctor) I have been experiencing quite a bit of dryness with the bp, however this is more or less taken care of with moisturizer and is seemingly insignificant compared to the embarassement of having bad acne.

I had really bad acne as a teen and finally saw a derm, he put me on diff, which worked after about 6 weeks and then he added bp for morning after i washed my face. i have used it for about 7 years now and trust me. IT WORKS wonders. if you have REALLY oily skin, use 10%, if moderatly oily, use 5%.
