hi, i have used basis everyday for years in the shower and it is fantastic for my drier than normal skin. i have to be careful b/c i have eczema on my hands and it has never irritated at all. plus it has a mellow smell that is not bland but not overly fragrant. highly recommend!

This is the best soap I have used! It leaves my skin feeling clean without drying it or heavy perfume smells to irrate the skin.

I have Rosacea and can't use most soaps to wash my face. Basis sensitive skin bar and the face gel cleanser helps reduce the irritation and leaves my skin with a clean, soft feeling. I recommend it for anyone with Rosacea.

I've been using it for about 4 days already and really like it. I have usually used the Purpose bar and I really like Basis better. Its not drying like Purpose and there's no scent which I like unlike Purpose. The bar is really smooth and feels creamy when you lather it so its like you're almost washing your face with a cream cleanser. It cleanses really well and does rinse off really well completely.

Not at all harsh. Rinses squeaky clean for me. However, it is a bit drying.

I was pretty mad when I used this soap, simply because it did not rinse off. I found out afterward that its the sodium tallowate (animal fat) that causes the annoying film on your skin. It says right on the package "clean rinsing" which is a total lie. For some strange reason it doesn't seem to bother most people, but for me it seems pointless to use a soap that won't rinse off. To me, it just defeats the purpose of trying to get clean in the first place.

At first it was ok, but then it started to overdry my face really badly and kind of burned my skin....dont know why you guys think this stuff is gentle!

leaves a bit of a residue on your skin. nothing too bothersome, but still there.

Basis is inexpensive, last a long time and I can use it anywhere on my body. I started using it as part of my own recently discovered regimen - which by coincidence is the same as yours!
